Race 4: PERFECT LEGACY – T B Brooker: 55kgs (+0.5kg) Race 9: SINGLE MEMO – B Loy: 55kgs (+0.5kg) Race 1: 91.9 SEA FM Class 3 Handicap 2000 metres WINSTON BLUE – C Bayliss, rider of WINSTON BLUE, was suspended from riding in races under AR132(5) for use of the whip on 18 occasions throughout the event, for a period of 7 days to commence midnight 21st June up to and including midnight 28th June 2022. VELVET LADY – It was noted the horse returned to the enclosure having lost its off fore plate. Race 2: THE BIG BOING QTIS Two-Year-Old Maiden Plate 1000 metres READY AZZ EVA – Began awkwardly. Raced wide throughout. THE VOWELS – Began awkwardly and lost ground. APRIL IN AUGUSTA – Jumped in at the start. Over-raced between the 800m and 400m. PERFECT NIGHT OUT – Tightened at the start between APRIL IN AUGUSTA which jumped in, and LAGUNA DE CHICABE which jumped out. LAGUNA DE CHICABE – Jumped out at the start FREDDY BARBAROSSA – Raced wide for the majority of the event. Race 3: TILER TRADE CENTRE QTIS Two-Year-Old Maiden Plate1000 metres HOLTERMANN – Began awkwardly. Raced wide without cover for the majority of the event. MR ENCORE – On arrival at the barriers the off fore plate was refitted. After LOUISIANA STAR became fractious in an adjoining stall and became cast, underwent a veterinary examination and was cleared to start. Steadied to obtain cover near the 800m. Held for clear running in the early stages of the home straight. TEQUILA SHOTS – Jumped out at the start and bumped WAR TOO ALL. A post-race veterinary examination on the horse which weakened in the home straight revealed shin soreness in both forelegs. Trainer K Schweida was advised TEQUILA SHOTS would require a veterinary clearance if the horse was start within a six-week period. A CHEEKY GIFT – A post-race veterinary examination on the horse which weakened in the home straight revealed no abnormalities. EKATERINA – Began awkwardly. Held for clear running in the early stages of the home straight. LICENCED AND READY – Slow to begin. LOUISIANA STAR – After being loaded into the barriers, reared, and became cast. The horse was subsequently declared a late scratching at 12:59pm on veterinary advice after sustaining abrasions and a puncture wound to the off foreleg. On declaration of correct weight Stewards ordered all bets on LOUISIANA STAR refunded in full and the following deductions to apply: 1st EKATERINA – 10c win, 8c place2nd HOLTERMAN – 13c place3rd WAR TOO ALL – 14c place Co-Trainer Toby Edmonds was advised the horse would require a further barrier certificate prior to its next race start. QUIRIN – Raced three wide with cover for the majority of the event. SHOW AND GO – After LOUISIANA STAR became fractious and was cast in an adjoining stall, underwent a veterinary examination and was cleared to start. WAR TOO ALL – It was noted the horse returned to the enclosure having lost its near fore plate. Race 4: GLOBAL SOLAR Maiden Handicap 1000 metres OUR MATE STUMPY – Jumped out at the start. Approaching the 800m was crowded for room and had to be steadied when SHOELACE SOUP shifted in when not fully clear. M Wishart, rider of SHOELACE SOUP, was reprimanded under AR131(a) for carelessness in this incident. Raced wide for the majority of the event. TELEGRAPH – Crowded on jumping and lost ground. Raced wide with cover for the majority of the event. THE SICILLIAN BOY – Raced wide for the majority of the event. WICKED'N' LOVIN'IT – Jumped away awkwardly. BEANHUGGED – M Butler, rider of BEANHUGGED, was fined $300 under AR132(5) for use of the whip on 16 occasions throughout the eventCY – Reared at the start and lost ground resulting in T Brooker becoming unbalanced for a short distance. It was noted the horse returned to the enclosure having lost its near fore plate. FIDE ET AMORE – Hung in badly from the 500m placing its rider at a disadvantage for the remainder of the event. Obliged to steady away from heels leaving the 200m when continuing to hang in. Raced wide for the majority of the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer L White was advised FIDE ET AMORE must trial satisfactorily on two occasions prior to its next race start. SHOELACE SOUP – Jumped in at the start. Race 5: SUNSHINE COAST MOWERS QTIS Three-Year-Old MaidenHandicap 1400 metres EVERLAST – Bumped on jumping. SANKELISKAR – Jumped out at the start and bumped EVERLAST. Raced three wide without cover throughout the event. TAKE ME ON – Slow to muster speed in the early stages. LATE NIGHT DEVIL -Raced three wide with cover for the majority of the event. Race 6: CAROL KING LOAN MARKET BENCHMARK 58 Handicap1400 metres MELODEON – Slow to begin. Had difficulty securing clear running near the 200m. CORONEL – Raced wide with cover throughout the event. REDSTONE – Raced three wide for the majority of the event. Rounding the home turn was inconvenienced when taken out and crowded onto the hindquarters of WHO SAID SO after ESTER’S ROSE shifted out to improve. A Thompson, rider of ESTER’S ROSE, was reprimanded under AR131(a) for careless riding in this incident. WHO SAID SO (NZ) – Raced four wide for the majority of the event. ESTER'S ROSE – Slow to begin. BLAVATSKY – Rider M Wishart reported the horse hung out for the majority of the event. Race 7: GRANT SMITH CENTURY 21 BENCHMARK 58 Handicap1400 metres CALCAREOUS – Slow to begin. Held up for clear running entering the home straight. WILLINGA PANACHE – Raced three wide for the majority of the event. STRATOBEL – Slow to begin. FORCHE – Over raced in the early and middle stages. ROSE OF DUPORTH – Rider T Brooker dropped her whip near the 150m. TRACKMAN – Rider M Wishart reported the horse did not handle the poly track conditions. MERSEYSIDE - It was noted the horse returned to the enclosure having lost its off fore plate. Race 8: OASIS LEISURE Maiden Handicap 1600 metres SPIRAL ARCHITECT (IRE) – Held up for clear running from rounding the home turn until near the 300m. BALLISTIC BABE – Near the 1100m, when racing in restricted room, was checked after improving to the inside of SPIRAL ARCHITECT which was momentarily taken in by SOOBPURB DANCER. SOOBPURB DANCER – Raced wide in the early stages. ROWLETT – Began awkwardly and lost ground. Race 9: ARTISAN Class 2 Handicap 1000 metres The start of this event was delayed approximately 5 minutes after VITAL SOURCE required farrier attention on arrival at the barriers. PHANTOM SPIRIT – Jumped out abruptly at the start and checked FIFTY FOUR SQUARES. FIFTY FOUR SQUARES – Bumped heavily on jumping and lost ground. SINGLE MEMO – On arrival at the barriers underwent a veterinary examination after presenting with blood in its mouth, consistent with having bitten its tongue. Over raced when being restrained to obtain cover near the 800m. VITAL SOURCE – On arrival at the barriers both front plates were refitted. Race 10: IELECTRICAL BENCHMARK 65 Handicap 1400 metres The start of this event was delayed approximately 4 minutes after AWE required farrier attention on arrival at the barriers. BIGGIE – Jumped out at the start. Held up for clear running rounding the home turn. Bumped on the hindquarters near the 200m. GWAN SO (GB) – Raced three wide with cover for the majority of the event. AWE – On arrival at the barriers the near side plate was refitted. Raced three wide with cover for the majority of the event. LEMON DUCHESS – Began awkwardly. LOVE MY SUPER – Bumped at the start when BIGGIE jumped out. Held up in the early stages of the home straight and when shifting in to obtain clear running near the 200m bumped BIGGIE on the hindquarters. DEVILLAIN – Raced three wide without cover for the majority of the event. CHOIR BOY – Bumped at the start and lost ground.
