Race 1: BOLD DESIGN KITCHENS QTIS TWO-YEAR-OLD MAIDEN PLATE  1000 M
 
MEET GEORGE – Over-raced during the early stages when restrained to obtain cover. Raced wide throughout. Bumped and forced wider on the home turn when MILESTONE shifted out.
 
THE BEAR – Raced greenly under pressure over the concluding stages.
 
HAPPY COFFEE – Raced wide throughout.
 
MILESTONE – Began awkwardly and lost ground. Shifted out when passing the 400m and bumped with MEET GEORGE. Jockey D Thornton reported that his mount over-raced during the early stages and this had a detrimental effect on the horses finishing effort.
 
Race 2: TREASURE ELECTRICAL MAIDEN HANDICAP  1600 M
 
SNOW SHOW (NZ) – Raced wide during the early stages. K Wilson-Taylor reported that in his opinion his mount did not handle the synthetic racing surface. Lost the off-fore plate in running. Post-race vet examination no abnormalities.
 
RUMBLING AWAY – Lost the off-hind plate in running.
 
EIGHT CYLINDERS (NZ) – Slow to begin.
 
MIGRATORY – Raced wide throughout.
 
EXFOLIATE – Slow to begin.
 
LOVE 'N' GAMES – Raced wide throughout.
 
TWILIGHT STEPS – Slow to begin.
 
KHANT QUIT (NZ) -Slow to begin. Raced wide during the early stages. J Bayliss reported that his mount was inclined to hang and race ungenerously during the early stages before being permitted to stride forward to the lead after passing the 1200m.
 
 
Race 3: EXCALIBUR ROOFING QTIS THREE-YEAR-OLD BENCHMARK 62 HANDICAP  1000 M
 
ACCELAR – Obliged to race in restricted room to the inside of ZATANNA, from the 600m until approaching the 400m when forced to steady. R Maloney, the rider of ZATANNA, was reprimanded under AR131(a) for this incident.
 
LI'L REX – Began awkwardly and lost ground. Tightened for room and obliged to steady near the 300m when tightened between I’M ZAC and ACCELAR, which shifted out to obtain clear running. B Lorena, the rider of ACCELAR, was reprimanded under AR131(a) for this incident.
 
 
Race 4: BUSHRANGER POWER EQUIPMENT RATINGS BAND 0 - 58 HANDICAP  1000 M
 
INTEGRITY LANE – Raced wide throughout.
 
IRON POWER – Slow to begin. Over-raced and improved onto heels during the early stages. Had difficulty obtaining clear running approaching the home turn.
 
SUPER FREEZE – J Stanley reported that his mount hung out over the final 200m and in his opinion did not handle the synthetic racing surface.
 
THE POWER OF ONE – J Orman reported that his mount did not handle the synthetic racing surface.
 
STEP ALONG – Raced wide throughout.
 
 
Race 5: BOLD CONSTRUCTION GROUP BENCHMARK 68 HANDICAP  1000 M
 
HE'S HEAVEN – Over-raced during the middle stages.
 
INVINOVICH – Over-raced during the early stages.
 
GREAT ASPIRATIONS (NZ) – Raced wide throughout.
THE FIXER
BONDED AFFAIR – Slow to begin. Steadied from heels and shifted wider near the 800m and raced wide from that point until approaching the 500m.
 
ARTIE PANTZ – Slow to begin. Inclined to lay in when placed under pressure in the home straight.
 
 
Race 6: COOLUM BEACH BREAKERS BENCHMARK 58 HANDICAP  1600 M
 
SOKUDO – Significantly slow to begin.
 
PIREONTI – D Thornton reported that it had not been his intention to lead, however after beginning well he elected to allow the mare to stride to the lead.
 
HARLEY CHARLIE – Over-raced during the early stages.
 
Race 7: LIEBKE BUILDERS CLASS 5 HANDICAP  1100 M
 
POCKET FULL – Over-raced during the early stages.
 
PERVADE (GB) – Over-raced during the early stages.
