SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT
 
Sunshine Coast Race 7 – 22nd November 2024. Trainer S Kendrick was advised that POCKET FULL which proved difficult to sample would be barred from racing until such time samples could be safely collected.
 
Gympie Race 1 – 23rd November 2024. Trainer M Lakey reported KELANOA was found to be lame in the near hind leg on return to the stable. Mr Lakey was advised KELANOA would require a veterinary clearance prior to its next race start.
 
 
 
 
Race 1: Basic Building Products BM 65 Handicap 1100 M
 
RUSTIC BOOM – When asked to comment rider S Willis reported the geldingraced flat when placed under pressure in the home straight, adding that RUSTIC BOOM also may not have suited by the 62.5kg impost. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality.
 
MIO SORRENTO – Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
PINK CASHMERE – Began awkwardly.
 
 
 
Race 2: PARFOS BRICK AND BLOCKLAYING MAIDEN 1100 M
 
FIREFORCE – Shifted the near hind plate in running. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality.
 
LET’SGO HUGO – Checked and lost ground at the start between BOOMING BIANCA which jumped in and TUDAYA which jumped out.
 
RUM RUMBLE – Bumped on the hindquarters on jumping.
 
TUDAYA – Jumped out at the start.
 
AQUATEMPO – Raced wide for the majority of the event.
 
BOOMING BIANCA – Jumped in at the start and bumped heavily on the hind quarters. Raced keenly in the early stages when being restrained to obtain cover.
 
KOUKLITSA – Slow to begin. Raced wide for the majority of the event. Laid in for the majority of the event.
 
LLEWELLYN BAY – Jumped out at the start.
 
MISS MERCY – Began awkwardly and lost ground at the start. Improved into restricted room passing the 800m and as a result had to be checked from the heels of LLWELLYN BAY which shifted in marginally.  
 
 
 
Race 3: Sunny Coast Sharks BM 65 Handicap 1400 M
 
SECRET SHEEMA – Slow to begin.
 
TEMPER THE STORM – Taken in approaching the finish line by COBURG.
 
PINKUS – Slow to begin. Raced wide for the majority of the event.
 
COBURG – Laid in approaching the finish line crowding KOZANI and TEMPER THE STORM.
 
KOZANI – Obliged to steady approaching the 800m when racing in restricted room.Approaching the finish line bumped by TEMPER THE STORM which was taken in by COBURG.
 
FLYING ROTHIE – Slow to muster speed in the early stages.
 
 
Race 4: GO TURF Maiden Plate 1000 M
 
The start of this event was delayed approximately 5 minutes when the AQUAHOLIC required gear adjustments prior to being loaded into the barriers.
 
AQUAHOLIC – Inclined to lay out from the 800m until entering the home straight. Raced wide in the early stages.
 
COOL RUNNING – Slow to begin. Raced wide for the majority of the event.
 
FLYING WARRIOR – Approaching the 200m raced greenly when struck with the whip.
 
LATE NIGHT TALKING – Slow to begin. Shifted out under pressure in the home straight.
 
SASSY TAP – Slow to begin.
 
 
Race 5: CHAPS MENSWEAR BM 55 Handicap 1100 M
 
Correct weight was delayed allowing Stewards to view the start of the race to determine if ANNAKURI was afforded a fair start. After hearing submissions from starter Mr D Breed and viewing the patrol footage it was established ANNAKURI reared of its own accord as the start was effected, dislodging rider K Zechner, and as these actions were solely attributable to the manners of ANNAKURI, the gelding was declared a starter. Trainer V Heading was advised the gelding would require a further barrier certificate prior to its next race start.
 
NEW HAMPSHIRE – Began awkwardly and lost ground. Shifted in under pressure over the concluding stages.
 
BANK BOOK – Crowded between runners on jumping and lost ground.
 
ROCKTARA – As S Champkin experienced transport issues, Stewards permitted C Collis to ride the gelding. Laid out under pressure over the concluding stages resulting in rider C Collis having to stop riding and straighten on a number of occasions.
 
JAFUBOY – Began awkwardly.
 
EYE WANTED – Jumped out at the start. Inconvenienced approaching the finish when NEW HAMPSHIRE shifted in under pressure.
 
 
 
Race 6: SUNSHINE COAST Super FALCONS BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP  1400 M
 
WATERMELON – Inconvenienced near the 600m when INDENTED HEAD shifted out and away from NIGHTSTICK.Raced wide for the majority of the event.
 
JEDIAH – Slow to begin. Raced keenly in the early stages.
 
STEP ON FIRE – Rider L Tarrant reported his saddle shifted in the home straight which placed him at some disadvantage.
 
VORTEXIA – Raced wide for the majority of the event. Rider B Wheeler reported in his opinion the mare was not suited racing on the synthetic surface.
 
TYPHOON TIP – Slow to begin. Raced keenly in the early stages.
 
JUBILANT – Apprentice C Baker was reprimanded under AR132(7)(a)(i) for use of the whip on consecutive strides prior to the 100m.
 
LOVEZELADYS – Raced wide for the majority of the event.
