Race 1: BOSS BUILDING MAINTENANCE CLASS 3 H’CAP – 1400M

PIGGY BANK – Slow to begin.

AIR DIAMOND – Overraced in the early stages.

SILENT DUKE – Had some difficulty securing clear running in the early stages of the home straight until near the 200m.


Race 2: JAMES SQUIRE BENCHMARK 60 H’CAP – 1200M

SOLITARY MAN – Trainer A. Walden was reprimanded for failing to advise the gear change of the removal of cheekers. Bumped by another runner at the start. Raced wide without cover until the 500m.

LITTLE FIGHTER – Reared as the start was effected and shifted out, making contact with another runner.

LOADED AND READY – Bumped by another runner at the start.


Race 3: XXXX GOLD CLASS 5 H’CAP – 1000M

GOLFING – Blundered on jumping away and then raced greenly over the concluding stages after being struck with the whip.

Race 4: JLP FABRICATION BENCHMARK 75 H’CAP – 1000M

JET DOWN ON IT – Slow to begin. Raced wide without cover. Apprentice A. Van Der Sandon was reprimanded for excessive use of her whip in a backhand fashion.

HIDDEN ROSE – Slow to begin.


Race 5: HAHN SUPER DRY MAIDEN H’CAP – 1300M

ROUGH KISS – Declared a late scratching at 2.55 pm after being injured in its float en route to the track.

SAMMY SPARROW – Declared a late scratching on veterinary at 3.58 pm after slipping over in the parade area, dislodging the rider and was found to be lame in the near hind leg and had sustained abrasions to the near and off hocks. All monies invested on Sammy Sparrow were ordered to be refunded with the following deductions applicable.

TYCOON TYKE – Slow to begin. Bumped another runner and became unbalanced passing the 900m. A post race veterinary examination of the horse, which performed disappointingly, revealed a breathing abnormality. Connections were advised that a veterinary clearance must be provided to stewards, including the results of an endoscopic examination, and must trial satisfactorily prior to its next race start.

LA DIOSA – Raced wide in the early stages. Lost its off hind plate in running.

FIZZICALLY WICKED – Bumped another runner and became unbalanced passing the 900m.

MOOLAMOON – Laid out under pressure in the home straight.

HEROIC ROCK – Jockey L. Londregan reported the horse would be more comfortable on a softer racing surface than that of today’s.



Race 6: XXXX SUMMER BRIGHT CLASS 1 H’CAP – 1300M

TOW ROUND MEN – Raced 3 wide without cover until the 500m.

MAGIC BABE NING – Had to be steadied when tightened for room leaving the 200m.

HANGOVER TOO – Laid in under pressure, causing its rider to stop riding and straighten leaving the 200m.
