Race 1:  Qld Building Solutions Class 1 H’cap – 1000m
 
REMLAMPS JOY – Began awkwardly.
 
WRITTEN AT DAWN – Bled from both nostrils. Connections were advised that as this was the second occasion on which the  mare had bled, it would now  incur a lifetime bar from racing.  
 
SMOOTHNAVIGATOR – Raced 3 wide without cover throughout.
 
 
Race 2: Pacific Motor Maiden H’cap – 1200m
 
TUKEKANULA – Declared a late scratching at 8.25 am on veterinary advice.
 
BIG VEGA – Began awkwardly and shifted in.  Commenced to overrace passing the 800m and had to be steadied off heels. Commenced to overrace passing the 800m and had to be steadied off heels.
 
 
 
NUNCIUS – Overraced in the early and middle stages and raced 3 wide throughout before tiring over the concluding stages.
 
 
 
 
Race 3:  Wilpak Wholesale Meats QTIS 3yo Class 1 H’cap – 1400m
 
TREASURE GALLERY – Began awkwardly, resulting in jockey Griffin becoming unbalanced and  almost being dislodged.
 
BOLD HEART – After racing 3 wide approaching the first turn, improved to take up the lead after passing the 900m.
 
SONADOR FIRE – Had a tendency to lay in under pressure in the home straight.
 
 
Race 4:  KRC So Tender Hoisin Pork Roast Class 1 Plate – 1600m
 
PASSION IN FLIGHT – Bumped on a number of occasions rounding the home turn.  A post race veterinary examination revealed a laceration to the off fore tendon.
 
CHOICE PRINCESS – Shifted out rounding the home turn to obtain clear running and bumped PASSION IN FLIGHT on a number of occasions and had to alter course to the inside to obtain clear running.
 
ASTRO AVALANCHE –  After leading for the majority of the event, compounded in the home straight and finished a distant last.  When questioned regarding the performance, trainer B. Snelling stated the gelding has only had a couple of runs back from a long lay off. He added he has brought the horse along slowly in its current campaign on advice of his veterinary surgeon and now planned  to step the horse up to races of a longer distance than that of today’s event. Stewards noted  his comments.
 
 
Race 5:  KRC Tender Char Siu Pork Roast
 
SWIPPA DA MOUSE – Stewards accepted the explanation from trainer T. Thomas for the late declaration of rider. Had to be steadied and shifted out to avoid the heels of DAY OF THE FOX, which blundered passing the 1100m.
 
CHEERS ROSSCO – Connections advised that it was the intention to take up a forward position if circumstances permitted.  The horse subsequently settled in a midfield to back position.
 
BALABINA – The start was delayed when jockey J. Orman was dislodged on leaving the enclosure and then galloped 2 laps of the track.  The filly was subsequently declared a late scratching at 2.45 pm. Subsequent to the event all monies invested on the horse were ordered to be refunded with the following deductions applicable:
 
51 cents in the dollar on the face value of face value of win bets on No. 15
32 cents in the dollar on the face value of face value of place bets for the win on No.10
31 cents in the dollar on the face value of 2nd placegetter No. 5
33 cents in the dollar on the face value of 3rd placegetter  No. 4

SHOW ME THE MUSIC – Took charge of its rider for a short distance when proceeding to the barriers. Examined by the veterinary surgeon and cleared to take its place in the field. Stood flatfooted in the gates and missed the start by approximately 4 lengths.  Apprentice M. Murphy reported that his mount never travelled well at any stage of the race.
 
DAY OF THE FOX – Commenced to overrace passing the 1100m and clipped the heels of GUINIGI PRINCE  and blundered, almost dislodging its rider.  Apprentice S. Lacy reported that after this incident the gelding never travelled comfortably and proved disappointing. Blundered passing the 1100m.
 
SHELLAC – Had to be steadied and shifted out to avoid the heels of DAY OF THE FOX, which blundered passing the 1100m.
 
GUINIGI PRINCE – Had a tendency to lay in under pressure over the concluding stages.
 
SWIPPA DA MOUSE – Had to be steadied at the 150m and alter course to avoid the heels of the tiring GUINIGI PRINCE.
 
EMPEROR’S BEACH – Had a tendency to lay in under pressure over the concluding stages.
 
HIDRIFTER – Raced 3 wide without cover throughout.
 
CANUNGRA KID – Lost off hind plate in running.
 
Race 6:   Beautiful You Program Class 2 H’cap – 1200m
 
RENESMEE - Correct weight was delayed to allow stewards to view the patrol video to ascertain if the horse, which reared as the start was effected, losing several lengths, was afforded a fair start. The mare was subsequently declared a runner.  Trainer D. Vandyke reported that the horse had pulled up distressed.  A post race veterinary examination revealed the horse was suffering from heat stroke.
 
UNCANNY REASON – Raced wide without cover.
 
BAIO -  Following the disappointing performance, stewards advised trainer B. Snelling  that the horse would be barred from racing at provincial TAB meetings until its form improves at country venues.
 
 
Race 7:  Qld Building Solutions Benchmark 75 H’cap – 1200m
 
COOL SEQUENCE – Commenced to over race passing the 1000m and had to be steadied to avoid the heels of BANDA SPICE, which shifted in marginally.
 
SAY I WON’T – Commenced to overrace and had to be steadied to avoid the heels of MIRI MIRI after passing the 1000m.
 
 
Race 8:  Beautiful You Program Class 1 H’cap -  1400m
 
The start was delayed and all runners were removed from the gates after  THORNETT shifted  its near fore plate and it had to be refitted.  
 
HAY LIFE – Got its head up passing the 1000m when overracing at the rear of the field.
