As T. Harrison, J. Guthmann-Chester and T. Harrison were indisposed, riding changes were made as per the Stewards Summary Sheet
 
 
Race 1: Butler McDermott Lawyers Class 1 H’cap – 1400m
 
PARANA – Declared a late scratching at 12.14 pm after bolting during the preliminary and completing a lap of the course was therefore deemed unfit for racing.  Connections were advised that a warning would be placed on the gelding. The following deductions applicable to successful wagers placed prior to the withdrawal time
 
9 cents in the dollar on the face value of win bets
13 cents in the dollar on the face value of  place bets for the win
7 cents in the dollar on the face value of 2nd place  bets
19 cents in the dollar on the face value of 3rd place bets
 
The start of this race was delayed when an electrical malfunction occurred with the barriers.
 
SHE GOES POP – Slow to begin. Stewards questioned jockey J. Lloyd in relation to his tactics adopted from the 500m onwards.  The matter was adjourned to have the betting department analyse betting on the event.
 
OMNIA MARKA TAYADA – Jockey L. Londregan lost his whip near the 100m.
 
GRACIOUS CHOICE – Buffeted by another runner and became unbalanced on a number of occasions approaching the 300m.
 
 
Race 2: Coastline BMW Maiden Plate – 1200m
 
RAHDANE – Trainer C. Munce was fined $200 for failing to effect the late gear change of the addition of blinkers by the prescribed time.  Jockey J. Morris reported that it had been his intention to ride the horse in a more forward position, however after being slightly slow to begin was obliged to settle at the tail of the field. Overraced in the early stages. Had difficulty securing clear running in the early stages of the home straight.
 
FAST CHOICE – Made an abnormal respiratory  noise during the event.
 
RIPPIN ‘N’ TEARIN – Jockey J. Orman reported that his mount laid out under pressure in the home straight.
 
DAY OF THE FOX – Had to be steadied near the 900m when placed in restricted room to the inside of RIPPIN ‘N’ TEARIN. J. Orman, rider of RIPPIN ‘N’ TEARIN, was advised to exercise more care. Had difficulty securing clear running in the early stages of the home straight.
 
COME BY CHANCE – Had difficulty securing clear running from rounding the home turn until passing the 150m.
 
DASTERDLY DAN – Jockey L. Londregan lost his whip near the 100m.
 
 
Race 3: Wimmers Premium Soft Drinks Class 3 Plate – 1600m
 
NOSSUH – An application by trainer D. Heinemann to replace apprentice R. Johnston-Bell with a senior jockey L. Tarrant was granted.
 
TIMELESS LADY – Jumped away awkwardly and lost ground.
 

Race 4: XXXX QTIS 2yo Maiden Plate – 1000m
 
TRICKY SAGA – Jumped away very awkwardly and lost ground.
 
MISS AMBER – Jumped away awkwardly and made contact with another runner.
 
PRINCESS SNOWY – Jumped away awkwardly and made contact with another runner.
 
HI LIZZY – Checked and lost ground approaching the 800m when racing in restricted room. When asked to comment on the overall performance, jockey R. Stewart indicated that the horse raced greenly throughout and did not react well when placed in restricted room near the 800m and lost significant ground. He stated that the horse continued to race greenly in the home straight and he had some difficulty when attempting to secure clear running after leaving the 300m.  He added that he was satisfied with the overall performance and that the horse was doing its best work over the concluding stages and that the horse would take benefit from the race experience.
 
NICK’S REWARD – Raced greenly in the home straight.
 
BRAINS – Raced wide without cover.
 
SHE’S TIPSY – Raced wide without cover.
 
 
Race 5: Yalumba Maiden H’cap – 1600m
 
TAKE A CHANCE – Slow to begin.
 
OUR CINDERELLA – Overraced in the early and middle stages and then had to be steadied from heels when placed in restricted room near the 500m.
 
 
Race 6: Hot 91.1 Laides Oaks Day 2 June 2017 Class 5 H’cap – 1000m
 
MURDER OF CROWS – Slow to begin.
 
SKYTASTIC – Slow to begin.
 
CRAIGLEA MASTA – Raced wide throughout.
 
 
Race 7: WWW.SCTC.Com.au – 1000m
 
MOVING PRESS – Trainer L. Gough was fined $100 for failing to declare a rider for the horse by the prescribed time.
 
JACQUERIC – Co trainers J. Symons and S. Laxon advised stewards that subsequent to the horse’s last start it had undergone a corrective respiratory operation.
 
RAINBOW SPIRIT – Slow to begin.
 
AD FINEM – Obliged to alter course to obtain clear running near the 300m.
 
HARLEQUIN BELLS – Raced wide and  greenly without cover throughout.
 
DUNN GREAT – Jockey L. Tarrant expressed his disappointment with the performance of the horse. He added that his mount felt awkward in its action during the event and on pulling up. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormalities.  Trainer S. Kendrick agreed that the performance was disappointing and indicated to stewards he would have veterinary tests carried out, the results of which he would report to stewards.
 
 
 
Race 8: #SCTC Club Class 2 H’cap – 1200m
 
ZA BUBBLES – Trainer Dale Murray was fined $100 for failing to scratch the horse by the prescribed time.
 
MYSTIC MOON – Trainer T. Edmonds was fined $100 for failing to produce the registration papers for the horse.
