Race 1: TEX CUT CONCRETE MAIDEN PLATE 1600M
 
EAST OF MIDNIGHT Raced greenly and overraced in the early stages before racing three wide without cover.
 
EKRAARSONIC Slow to begin.
 
HAVEN DUKE Slow to begin.
 
ONE MAN GRAND Slow to begin.
 
MISHANI PILGRIM After being wide and overracing in the early stages, shifted wider on the track near the 1200m and permitted to stride forward to a position outside the lead passing the 700m.
 
Race 2: APL POKER LEAGUE CLASS 3 PLATE 1600M
 
EXPAT ENVY Hampered and forced wider rounding the home turn.
 
MR CHA Trainer T. Edmonds was fined $100 for the late declaration of M. Cahill as rider. Connections advised that it would be the intention to have the gelding ridden in a forward position. The horse was ridden accordingly.
 
SAURIMO Slow to begin and then raced wide before being ridden forward to the lead passing the 800m.
 
LORD CHAMBERLAIN Hampered and forced wider rounding the home turn.
 
COONOWRIN RUBY Hampered and forced wider rounding the home turn.
 
SHINING BROOKE Shifted out approaching the 400m to secure clear running, hampering other runners to the outside. As a result, rider T. Chambers was reprimanded for her actions.
 
SUBSOLAR Improved on to heels and had to be steadied near the 500m.
 
Race 3: BBC DIGITAL MAIDEN H'CAP 1200M
 
MAXWELL Raced wide throughout.
 
REMOLAD Trainer L. Wheeler advised that in light of todayys performance, the gelding would now be sent for a spell.
 
SHINING BLUE Raced three wide without cover. Inclined to lay in under pressure in the home straight.
 
SIR TITANITE Steadied from heels after passing the 700m and had difficulty securing clear running to improve until passing the 500m.
 
MARVELOOS Eased from heels passing the 500m.
 
Race 4: ALH GRAZIERS STEAK MAIDEN H'CAP 1200M
 
SHERIFFF BLUEBEAR Slow to begin. Raced in restricted room from approaching the 700m until approaching the 400m and as a result was steadied on a number of occasions before having to be restrained when entering the home straight.
 
TOBACCO ROAD Slow to begin.
 
BUXTON Slow to begin. Raced with its head in the air when being steadied near the 700m and was very erratic, resulting in the gelding losing significant ground. Apprentice S. Lacy reported to stewards that the horse had made contact with her head in this incident. Apprentice Lacy was examined by the Club doctor who reported that no injuries were detected at the time of examination.
 
ELLERSLEY Raced wide throughout.
 
SWIPE RIGHT Laid in from the 800m until entering the home straight, placing another runner in restricted room. M. Gray was advised to exercise more care. Trainer B. Ahrens was advised that a warning would be placed on the marees racing manners.
 
GORGEOUS GAL Raced wide throughout.
 
MIAZUMI Raced three wide without cover.

 
Race 5: GOLDEN BEACH TAVERN CLASS 2 H'CAP 1200M
 
Stewards opened an inquiry into the tactics adopted by a number of riders during this event. Evidence was taken from D. Browne (RAJA AMPAT), B. Stewart (MUDDY ROPE), J. Byrne (NIGHT ATTIRE), J. Orman (TYCOON TYKE) and trainer S. Kendrick (RAJA AMPAT and TYCOON TYKE). Stewards adjourned the inquiry to a time and date to be fixed.
 
DAMN FINE Raced three wide throughout.
 
MR BON VIVANT Raced wide in the early stages, bumped by another runner near the 700m and remained in a three wide position without cover for the remainder of the event.
 
LADY DUPORTH Slow to begin.
 
Race 6: STRAIGHT AUTO CARE & REPAIRS BENCHMARK 75 H'CAP
1800M
 
GUNDY STAR Raced three wide without cover. Lost the off hind plate in running.
 
Race 7: INCLUSIVE KIDS QTIS 3YO H'CAP 1000M
 
Following a shower of rain after the running of Race 6 the track was downgraded to GOOD 4.
 
STELLAAS DREAM Slow to begin. Placed in restricted room approaching the 800m. Raced in restricted room from the 600m and had to be steadied near the 500m.
 
TWO AMOR Raced in restricted room approaching the 800m and as a result had to be steadied and lost ground.
 
MAGICIANNS SECRET Trainer D. Stafford was fined $100 for the late declaration of J. Taylor as rider.
 
INKY BAY Raced wide without cover.
 
Race 8: ALH GROUP CLASS 1 H'CAP 1000M
 
ZOUTANO Stood flat-footed at the start and lost ground. Lost the near fore plate in running.
 
CANTON ROAD Laid in under pressure in the early stages of the home straight.
 
MESSAGEINABOTTLE Raced three wide without cover. Bled from both nostrils during the event. Ineligible to race for 3 months and prior to its next start must trial satisfactorily over 1000m in the presence of a steward.
 
The track was further downgraded to SOFT 5 retrospective following the running of this event.
 
Race 9: GBT PUNTERS CLUB CLASS 1 H'CAP 1400M
 
GLENTURRET A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.
 
PERCIVALL POTT Stood flat-footed at the start and lost significant ground.
 
CHAMPAGNE CHARLEE Raced three wide without cover.
 
I AM THE WARRIOR Late scratching on veterinary advice at 3:45 pm after sustaining an injury in the float en route to the course.
 
LAUDABLE LEMON Apprentice R. Ride reported that her mount laid out under pressure in the straight.
 
BROWN LINES Raced wide from the 800m.
