Orman was not advertised as the rider of WRAPPED IN BLUE. JONZALI Raced four wide without cover. Hung out rounding the home turn and laid in under pressure in the home straight. SETOGA Slow to begin. Raced greenly throughout. FREEZE NN TEASE Raced three wide without cover. STOLE THE SHOW Held up for clear running from approaching the 400m until leaving the 300m. The veterinary surgeon reported that the horse had a cut to the off fore fetlock post-race. MAKUBA A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. Race 3: IRON JACK IS NEAR MAIDEN HHCAP 1600M MICHAUD Slow to begin. FOXY MISS When asked to comment on the horsees performance, B. Stewart indicated that in his opinion, as this was the marees first start over 1600m, it did not run out the distance and was disappointing under pressure in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities. Trainer C. Munce advised that the mare would now be sent for a spell. INVERARAY Overraced badly in the early stages and had to be checked from heels near the 1300m, shifted wider and raced wide from that point onwards. SEA ROUTE Significantly slow to begin. WAS IT WORTH IT Raced wide without cover in the early stages before striding forward to a position outside the lead passing the 900m. GRANVILLE ISLAND Jumped awkwardly, making contact with another runner. NAUGHTY CORNER Bumped on jumping. REAL ELUSIVE Raced wide throughout. TERGRANDE Slow to begin. Race 4: BECKER HELICOPTERS CLASS 2 HHCAP 1200M The start of this race was delayed when MR BON VIVANT dislodged its rider M. Cahill, who was examined by the ambulance officers prior to taking his mount. FORT MYER Trainer S. Pedron advised that R. McMahon will be instructed to ride the horse in the second half of the field in a mid-back position as it has not been finishing its races off when ridden forward. The horse was ridden at the tail of the field. ROCKY NUGGET Jumped awkwardly and lost ground. AIRLIE REWARD Laid in under pressure in the home straight. FINE FERGUS Improved on to heels when the pace slackened near the 800m, had to be steadied and hung out for a short distance. Race 5: SUNSHINE BEACH SURF LIVE SAVING CLUB MAIDEN HHCAP 1200M JACKOH Overraced in the early stages. LORD ARCHER Shifted out when attempting to secure clear running after passing the 500m and initiated heavy contact with BARNEY. B. Stewart reported that after bumping with BARNEY rounding the home turn he felt that the horse failed to respond to his riding after this point. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. GOLD THYME Jumped away awkwardly and lost ground, then raced greenly throughout the event and was uncompetitive. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. Trainer C. Anderson advised that the horse would now be retired from racing, however stewards advised him that should the horse resume racing it must perform satisfactorily in an official trial prior to doing so. BARNEY Buffeted on a number of occasions between the 500m and the 400m. WASHINGTON STREET Lost the off fore plate in running. MORION Inclined to lay out in the early and middle stages. THE REAL RONALDO Steadied from heels approaching the 1000m. Race 6: YALUMBA BENCHMARK 65 HHCAP 1600M THE PERPETRATOR Slow to begin. Raced wide throughout. Momentarily held up rounding the home turn and again had difficulty securing clear running for a short distance passing the 200m. CASHINKO Overraced in the early stages. MYSTERIUM Momentarily held up rounding the home turn. CHAMPAGNE ROCK Raced wide in the early stages before being ridden forward near the 900m. TAKARAKKA Raced three wide without cover for the majority of the event. TREASURE GALLERY Had difficulty securing clear running passing the 400m. FLYING PARIS Raced wide in the early stages before being ridden forward passing the 1100m. WEEKEND WINNER Slow to begin. LUCK THREE SEVENS Slow to begin. Bled from both nostrils during the event. The horse will be ineligible to race for three months and prior to racing again must perform satisfactorily in a 1000m gallop in the presence of a steward. Race 7: BUTLER MCDERMOTT LAWYERS BENCHMARK 75 HHCAP 1400M CRAIGLEA WANDOO Slow to begin. Raced wide without cover. W. DDAvila reported that his mount was making an abnormal respiratory noise. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities, however the veterinary surgeon reported that trainer K. Johnston had advised that the horse got its tongue over the bit. GLENTHORN AVENUE Raced wide throughout. ELJETEM Slow to begin. MOONLIGHT DANCER Laid in under pressure in the home straight. MANDRYKA Laid in under pressure in the home straight. EXCELLENT SPIRIT Raced wide without cover in the early stages. Bled from both nostrils during the event. The horse will be ineligible to race for three months and prior to racing again must perform satisfactorily in a 1000m gallop in the presence of a steward. Race 8: SKY THOROUGHBRED CENTRAL CLASS 1 HHCAP 1400M ARAKAIN Slow to begin. Lost the off fore plate in running. ERCOLANO Overraced in the early stages. OUR ROCKY Raced ungenerously when restrained in the early stages, placing its rider in an awkward position at heels for the first 400m of the event. Trainer D. Pearson indicated that in light of todayys performance he would remove the blinkers from the horsees gear. Stewards advised Mr Pearson that a warning would be placed on the horsees manners. ROYAL ATOM Raced wide without cover. Made the home turn extremely wide. SHOCKFACTOR Apprentice S. Lacy reported that her mountts saddle slipped shortly after the start. CANTON ROAD Overraced in the early stages.
