Hanson Race 1: Bentleys Maiden HHcap 1800m BUELLERRS DAY OFF Reluctant to proceed to the barriers.. After passing the 600m weakened badly and was uncompetitive from that point onwards.. Trainer M. Kerr was advised that given the horsees pre-race behaviour and racing performance, the horse would be required to perform satisfactorily in an official trial prior to its next race start. NICALATI Raced wide in the early stages and after passing the 600m was obliged to steady from the heels of the weakening BUELLERRS DAY OFF andd lost significant ground.. RED PHANTOM Jockey J. Byrne reported he was tightened for room at the start and lost ground, causing him to be positioned further back in the field than anticipated. He added at no stage of the racee would he say the horse travelled comfortablyy and when asked for an effort, failed to respond to his riding and proved somewhat disappointing. Race 2: Fencepac Maiden 4yo & Upp HHcap -- 1200m MAN IN CHARGE Slow to begin. CRACKACHARGE Slow to begin. Steadied and remained held up for clear running from the 500m to the 400m, and when attempting to secure clear running after passing the 400m, was disappointed and had to be steadied and remained heldd for clear running until the 300m. FLASH SAMMY Jockey A. Spinks reported his mount hung out from the 500m onwards. Race 3: Buderim Mechanical QTIS 3yo Maiden Plate 1200m RECKLESS CHOICE Slow to begin. Overraced when the pace slackened approaching the home turn. LOOKS LIKE ELVIS Slow to begin. Held up for clear running rounding the home turn and had some difficulty securing clear running approaching the 300m and laid in under pressure from that point onwards. BLOSSOM Overraced when the pace slackened approaching the first turn. Raced awkwardly att heels during the middle stages. MAGIC LAD Held up for clear running rounding the home turn and until approaching the 350m. FIND NEMO Whilst weakening in the home straight was obliged to avoid heels near the 200m. TROMMELSCHLAGEN Laid in under pressure in the home straight. Stewards reminded jockey T. Patel of his obligations not to have hiss hand above shoulder height when applying the whip. CORSA DDORO Raced wide without cover. Race 4: Fort Knox Storage Class 2 HHcap 1200m MR STRACHAN Was awkwardly placed at heels approaching the first turn. EARL OF FORDYCE Trainer G. Hay was advised that a warning would be placed on the horse in light of todayys poor performance. HAYLEE PRINCE Jockey R. Fradd reported his mount was not entirely comfortable in the rain affected conditions. Race 5: Firefly Education Benchmark 75 HHcap 1400m MAGNATUNE Declared a late scratching at 2.29 pm on veterinary advice after being kicked on the off hind stifle by another runner behind the barriers. Subsequent to the event all monies invested on the horse were ordered to be refunded with the following deductions applicable. 5 cents in the dollar on the face value of win bets 7 cents in the dollar on the face value of win bets for the place4 cents in the dollar on the face value of 2nd place bets7 cents in the dollar on the face value of 3rd place bets SHADOW LORD A post race veterinary examination of the horse, which weakened in the home straight, initially found that the horse had lost its near fore plate in running.. Apprentice Z. White reported that the horse when restrainedd in the middle stages may have got its tongue over the bit and as a result may have had it breathing obstructed. UNBOWED When attempting to have the horse settle after passing thee 900m commenced to overrace and hung out from the 800m until rounding the home turn. Race 6: Bruff Painting Contractors Class 1 HHcap 1000m BOGEY MAN - Correct weight was delayed whilst stewards viewed video footage of the start to ascertain if BOGEYMAN had been afforded a fair start.. After viewing the patrol video stewards were satisfied that as the start was effected BOGEYMAN reared as a consequence and lost ground.. Stewards were satisfied that other than for its own actions the horse had beenn afforded a fair start and therefore declared it a runner and correct weight was declared on the Judgees placings.. A post race veterinary examination of BOGEYMAN failed to reveal any significant abnormalities. A warning was placed on the horsees barrier manners. BIDZILL Slow to begin. COPYWRITER ? Slow to begin. Laid in under pressure in the home straight and performed below market expectations. Jockey J. Orman reported his mount did not travel comfortably at any stage of the race and was very disappointing, adding that the horse laid in under pressure in the home straight and raced awkwardly over the final 200m.. A post race veterinary examination revealed thee filly to be making a respiratory noise indicativee of a possible respiratory infections and a poor post-race recovery.. Trainer S. Kendrick was advised that the horse must undergo endoscopic examination and he must furnish to the stewards a veterinary certificate prior to its next race start. S. Kendrick advised stewards that the horse would now be sent for a spell. SCRIPTS Raced wide without cover. HUSSON BOOTS Jockey J. Byrne reportedd his mount first up from a spell did not race entirely comfortably in the rain affected conditions and would take improvement from the run. Race 7: Royal Flying Doctor Service Sunshine Coast Auxiliary Class 4 HHcap 1600m MARSEILLE EN FLEUR As jockey J. Orman was to be overweight, jockey R. Fradd was substituted as the rider of the horse.. J. Orman was fined $200.. Jockey R. Fradd reported that he was disappointed with the horsees performance and believed that this could be attributed to the horse overracing during the early and middle stages.. He advised that connections would consider removing the blinkers from the horse for its next start in an attempt to have the horse settle. MISHANI PHOENIX Inconvenienced on jumping away. COONOWRIN RUBY Apprentice a. Spinks reported that his mount hung out from the 700m until entering the home straight. Race 8: Glenview Par 3 Golf Course Class 1 HHcap 1400m WHODUNNIT Jockey B. Stewart was dislodged when proceeding to the barriers.. The horse was recaptured at the 1800m shute, examined by the veterinary surgeon and cleared to start. SHINNECOCK Declared a late scratching at 4.26 pm after rearing in the barriers and was inspected by the veterinary surgeon and found to have lacerations to both front legs.. Gough was advised that he must provide a barrier certificate for the horse prior to its next race start. ARAKAIN Slow to begin. Apprentice M. Murphy, rider of MISS BENETEAU, was found guilty of a charge of careless riding, in that he failed to stop riding when shifting in, which causedd tightening to WHO DUNNIT, which was taken in on to ARAKAIN, which in turn was taken in onto SANGUINE RED, tightening the running of ARAKAIN, causing ARAKAIN to be steadied and SANGUINE RED to be checked.. Apprentice Murphy was suspended from riding in races for a period of 12 days, to commence at midnight,, 28 October, up to and including 9 November. FAIRLIGHTING Placed in restricted room rounding the home turn and had to be steadied.. As a result of this incident, B. Stewart, rider of WHO DUNNIT, was reprimanded. ROCKING MY WORLD Held up from the 400m and was obliged to alter course near the 200m in order to secure clear running at a point near the 150m. MISS BENETEAU Raced 3 widee without cover. PRESSWAY Raced 3 wide. ARAZONA A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormalities.. Rider M. Cahill reported the horse did not travel comfortably in the rain affected conditions and was awkward in its action from the 600m.
