Race 1: Glovers Concreting Pty Ltd QTIS 2yo Maiden Plate – 1000m
 
RETAIRIUS – Slow to begin. Jockey L. Cassidy reported his mount was unable to muster early speed and indicated the horse would appreciate the step up in distance as it was doing its best work over the concluding stages.
 
BURNING SUCCESS – Jumped away awkwardly. Raced wide without cover.
 
STARBUSTER – Laid in in the early stages and raced greenly in the middle stages.
 
DRAGON PINS – Raced greenly in the early and middle stages.
 
SCHERBATSKY – Inconvenienced near the 400m.
 
WILLIWIN SOME – Had to be steadied approaching the 200m when placed in restricted room.
 
AMANTIS – Raced greenly under pressure in the home straight.
 
 
 
 
 
Race 2:  Hot 91.1 Benchmark 75 H’cap – 1000m
 
No racing incidents.
 
Race 3: The Pump House Maiden Plate – 1200m
 
BACCARAT BABY – Began awkwardly. Overraced in the middle stages.
 
AUREOLA – Slow to begin. Overraced in the middle stages. Had some difficulty obtaining clear running securing clear running for a short distance after passing the 400m.
 
WAR DRUM – Raced 3 wide without cover.
 
SIOUXSIE – Apprentice S. Lacy reported it had not been her intention to lead, however the horse mustered pace in the early stages and rather than restrain, allowed the horse to travel comfortably in the lead.
 
PAGE ONE – Laid out near the 800m. Laid out under pressure in the middle stages of the home straight.
 
 
Race 4: Sea Vista Developments Maiden H’cap – 1600m
 
MAI TAI RAIN – Trainer B. Ahrens was fined $100 for failing to declare a rider for the horse by the prescribed time. Stewards permitted jockey M. Cahill to ride the horse a half a kilogram overweight. Shifted out under pressure in the early stages of the home straight.
 
CALISTO – Jumped awkwardly and lost ground. Overraced when the pace slackened near the 1200m and shifted wider and raced wide from that point onwards.
 
DELZALI – Slow to begin.
 
CHOICE GAL – Overraced in the early stages and shifted wider near the 1200m and raced wide from that point onwards.
 
NEW DEAL – Overraced badly when the pace slackened from the 1300m and until approaching the 1000m.
 
NIGHT WHISPER – After overracing at heels near the 1200m shifted wider and raced 3 wide for the remainder of the race. Inconvenienced near the 300m, causing its rider to stop riding.
 
DER SIEGER – Raced wide in the early stages before being permitted to stride forward to the lead passing the 1100m.
 
JANEMY – Held up near the 400m and after attempting to secure clear running was obliged to shift back to the inside  near the 300m when disappointed for a run.
 
MAI TAI RAIN – Shifted out under pressure in the early stages of the home straight.
 
Race 5: Secutor Securities Class 4 H’cap – 1600m
 
PRINCE MANITOU – Overraced in the early stages before being permitted to stride forward and assume the lead passing the 1100m. Inconvenienced near the 200m.
 
THE OVERDRAFT – Overraced for a short distance approaching the first turn.  Forced wider near the 800m and raced 3 wide without cover from that point onwards.
 
OMNIA MARKA TAYADA  – Inconvenienced near the 200m.
 
 
Race 6: Monaco Resort Class 1 H’cap – 1000m
 
MORION – Underwent a veterinary examination behind the barriers after being kicked by another runner in the enclosure and was cleared to start. Placed in restricted room after passing the 700m and had to be steadied before shifting back to the inside.
 
I’M JUST PINK – Slow to begin. Jockey M. Hellyer reported that his mount was unable to muster sufficient early speed.
 
BALLINGALL LASS – Slow to begin.
 
TEAGZ – Hung out from the 900m and continued to hang out badly, inconveniencing other runners, and shifted wider on the track. Trainer M. Mair was advised the filly must perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial prior to its next race start.
 
REMLAPS ROCK – Inconvenienced and forced  wider from the 700m by another runner.
 
SLUGSNEPHEWJONNY – Raced wide without cover.
 
 
Race 7: Golden Beach Tavern Class 2 Plate – 1200m
 
YEAHNAH – Had difficulty securing clear running rounding the home turn.  Laid in under pressure in the straight.
 
FLEURIEU – Slow to begin.
 
ESSAKA – Restrained from heels for a short distance after passing the 800m. Laid out under pressure in the home straight.
 
BEAU DANCER – Held up for a short distance rounding the home turn.
 
THAT SCHIMDT GIRL -  A post race veterinary examination revealed the horse to be suffering from cardiac arrhythmia. Trainer S. Campbell was advised that he must provide a veterinary clearance, and the mare  must undergo an ECG, with the results provided to stewards, and also must trial satisfactorily in an official trial prior to its next race start. Mr Campbell  advised at this stage it would be his intention to retire the mare from racing.
 
Race 8: Ross Maclean Fellowship Benchmark 65 H’cap – 1400m
 
 SIP SIP SIP – Reared as the start was effected and lost significant ground. Connections were advised that a warning would be placed on the mare regarding its barrier manners.
 
LAVINGTON STAR – Slow to begin. Raced wide.
 
PERFORATION – Overraced whilst in the lead in the early and middle stages.
 
THE REAL SPIEL – Inconvenienced over the concluding stages.
