Jockey B. Thornton was fined $100 under AR86 for an inappropriate standard of dress.

Race 1: Noosa Tigers AFC Class 3 Plate – 1600m
 
PRINCE OF ARRAN – Trainer M. Brosnan was fined $100 for failing to declare a rider for the gelding by the prescribed time. Was bumped on a number of occasions after passing the 600m and shifted wider. Raced 3 wide without cover.
 
KEEP ON ROCKING – Improved onto heels approaching the 1200m and had to be steadied. Shifted out across heels near the 400m to secure clear running and became awkward.
 
DRUMADOIR – Shifted out to secure clear running approaching the 500m and in doing so made heavy contact with PRINCE OF ARRAN  on a number of occasions.
 
HAVEN DUKE – Finished a distant last.  Trainer N Hocking was advised that in light of today’s performance, the gelding  would be restricted to non TAB venues until its form improved. Mr Hocking informed stewards the horse  would now  be retired from racing. 
 
 
 
Race 2: Staynoosa.com Ratings Band 0-70 H’cap – 1300m
 
BROCSON – Held up rounding the home turn.
 
SHELTER LADY – Apprentice S. Lacy reported she had some difficulty securing clear running rounding the home turn.
 
OSMOSIS – Laid in under pressure in the home straight. Jockey L. Tilley was reprimanded for using his whip more than 5 times prior to the 100m.
 
THEY CALL ME ROSE – Apprentice C. Gallagher was reprimanded for using his whip more than 5 times prior to the 100m.
 
 
Race 3: BOQ Noosa QTIS 2yo Maiden H’cap – 1200m
 
VIENNA SPIRIT – Jumped away awkwardly. Inconvenienced near the 700m and forced wider on the track, racing 3 wide without cover from that point onwards. Apprentice C. Gallagher reported his mount raced greenly throughout, felt awkward in its hind action, and also that his saddle slipped.  A post race veterinary examination found the horse to have a poor post race recovery. Trainer R. Lipp indicated the horse would not be sent for a spell.
 
ROASTED – When racing keenly in the lead shifted out near the 700m, inconveniencing another runner.
 
ALLO ALLO –  Jockey M. McGillivray reported his mount felt awkward in its action. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormalities.  Trainer’s representative Mr M. Henderson advised stewards he would have his own veterinary surgeon assess the horse  and would report back to stewards in the coming days.
 
Following this event the track rating was upgraded to Good 3.
 
 
Race 4: Beach Bar And Grill Mooloolaba Maiden H’cap  - 1200m
 
BEST FOOT FORWARD – Trainer T. Haydon was fined $100 for failing to declare a rider for the filly by the prescribed time. Change of tactics. Connections advised the horse would be ridden in a more forward position if circumstances permit.  The horse was ridden accordingly.
 
MAZZIOTI – Change of tactics. Connections advised that the filly would ridden in a more forward position if circumstances permit. The horse was ridden accordingly.
 
SUNDAYINMANHATTAN – Change of tactics. Connections advised the horse would be ridden in a more forward position from the favourable barrier position. The horse was ridden accordingly.  Shifted out near the 400m and inconvenienced another runner.
 
CRAIGLEA LORELEI – Slow to begin.
 
SERLINA – Raced wide from the 900m. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
THE LAST ROAD – Whilst weakening passing the 400m was inclined to lay in and was obliged to steady from the heels of another runner.
 
SID – Held up in the early stages of the home straight and was tightened for room over the concluding stages and was steadied as a result.
 
CURSE FREE – Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
THE LAST ROAD – Raced wide throughout.
 
TAVISFACTION – When asked to comment on the mare’s performance, which weakened badly over the concluding stages, indicated, in his opinion, the horse does not appreciate the firmer racing surfaces and felt this had affected the horse’s overall performance. A post race veterinary examination revealed the mare had  a poor post race recovery.
 
SLY GRIN – A post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be suffering from heat stress.
 

Race 5: Accom Noosa Class 2 H’cap – 1200m
 
THE PARTY GIRL – Slow to begin. Had some difficulty securing clear running for a short distance passing the 200m.
 
MISS BENETEAU – Began awkwardly. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormalities.
 
CURRUMBIN CRAFT – Knuckled shortly after the start. Forced wider near the 700m and raced wide for a short distance.
 
YOU DON’T SAY MOLLY – Raced 3 wide without cover during the early stages and was forced to a 4 wide position near the 700m and raced 4 wide from that point onwards.
 
LOVE AND ROCK IT – Shifted out to improve near the 700m and raced wide from that point onwards. When asked to comment on the horse’s overall performance, jockey D. Smith expressed his disappointment however could offer no explanation.
 
 
Race 6: Surf Club Restaurant Maiden H’cap  - 1200m
 
DER SIEGER – Change of tactics. Connections advised that the horse would be ridden further back in the field from the wide barrier if circumstances permit. The horse was ridden accordingly. Near the 500m was bumped heavily by another runner and was forced wider on the track.
 
OSTEONICS – Slow to begin.
 
STUKWUN – Jumped awkwardly. Raced greenly throughout and shifted in and bumped another runner near the 800m, became unbalanced rounding the home turn and again became unbalanced when placed in restricted room near the 250m.
 
THE VOLTO – Jumped awkwardly.  Inconvenienced by another runner near the 800m and became unbalanced.
 
HIGH I CUE – Overraced in the early stages. Held up for a short distance rounding the home turn.
 
FINAL ORDER – Bumped by another runner and became awkward for a short distance near the 900m.
 
BONNE VIE – Overraced when being steadied to obtain cover near the 850m. Forced wider near the 700m. Inconvenienced and forced wider near the 500m.
 
NOTNECESSARILYSO – Steadied near the 700m and shifted out, inconveniencing another runner.
 
FESTIVE REWARD - Forced wider near the 700m.
 
YARBOROUGH - Forced wider near the 700m. Whilst weakening was steadied to avoid heels near the 350m.
 
FROM NOW - Forced wider near the 700m and was steadied as a result. Near the 500m was bumped heavily by another runner and was forced wider on the track.  Jockey J. Orman, rider of HIGH I CUE, was reprimanded for this incident.
 
NIGHT WHISPER – Overraced in the early stages.  Checked from heels near the 500m and was held up from the 400m until the 300m.
 
 
Race 7: EFEX Group Class 1 H’cap – 1000m
 
LIU BEI – Jumped away very awkwardly and lost ground.  Checked near the 600m before becoming very awkward when jumping a fallen runner.  The competitive chances of the gelding were significantly hindered as a result of this incident. A post race veterinary examination revealed the horse had sustained a cut to the right foreleg after being galloped on.  
 
SLUGSNEPHEWJONNY – Slow to begin.  Checked near the 600m and shifted wider to avoid the fallen runner. The competitive chances of the gelding were significantly hindered as a result of this incident. A post race veterinary examination revealed the horse had sustained a small cut to the right stifle.
 
NOT TONIGHT DEAR -  Clipped heels and fell near the 600m, resulting in jockey A. Sewell being dislodged. As Jockey Sewell was subsequently transported to hospital  with a suspected fractured clavicle and bruising to the lower left leg, an inquiry into this incident was adjourned to enable jockey Sewell to provide evidence.   A post race veterinary examination of the mare  revealed bruising the right shoulder and  minor abrasions  to the off side nostril and off hind coronet. Stewards will liaise with trainer B. Harden in the coming days to monitor the mare’s recovery.
 
HAIKU’S WAY – Restrained passing the 600m to avoid a fallen runner. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormalities.
 
QUESTIONS ANSWERED – Momentarily eased near the 600m to avoid a fallen runner. 
 
 
Race 8: Staynoosa.com Class 1 H’cap – 1400m
 
The starting time for this race was rescheduled to 5.20 pm due to the delay caused by the race fall in Race 7.
 
ROULETTE ROYAL – Slow to begin.
 
FULL NELSON – Raced very ungenerously when being restrained in the early and middle stages.
 
KAILENNY – Steadied from heels at the 1000m. Raced wide from the 800m.
 
MISS AMBER – Obliged to alter course to the inside to secure clear running leaving the 400m.
 
REAL ESTATE – A post race veterinary examination of the gelding, which overraced in the early stages, failed to reveal any significant abnormalities.
