SHE’S A MITZY – Bumped on jumping away.

LE DRAMA – Tightened for room when bumped on jumping away.

INITIALIZE – When asked to comment on the performance, jockey Tarrant indicated that the horse races best when able to dictate the pace in front and when he was obliged to restrain in the early stages to allow SHE’S A MITZY to cross, the gelding commenced to overrace until approaching the 600m and then failed to respond to his riding in the home straight.

Following this event the track rating was upgraded to Soft 5

Race 2: Rockestra @ SCTC Maiden H’cap 3yo & Up – 1000m

ROTHENBURG – Raced greenly in the early stages and commenced to hang out from the 700m. Obliged to steady and shift out to avoid the heels of a weakening runner near the 300m. When asked to comment on the performance jockey Fradd  indicated he would  have liked to have been positioned  closer to the lead, however despite pressuring  the horse in the early stages it did not muster  any speed. He added the horse  raced very greenly throughout the event.  In his opinion, the horse was doing its best work over the concluding stages,  would benefit with a step up in distance when able to settle in a more forward position, and would take improvement from this run.
