RACE 1:   CELLAR MAINTENANCE AUSTRALIA. QTIS THREE YEAR OLD FILLIES MAIDEN PLATE 1000M
 
AVENTURINE - When asked to comment regarding the performance, Jockey Byrne stated that whilst it was his intention to race forward the filly refused to settle which he believed was detrimental to its overall performance. Jockey Byrne added that it would take improvement from the race experience.
 
COOL INTELLIGENCE - Began awkwardly and lost ground. Hung out middle stages and approaching the home turn.
 
GOLD JET- Rider reported that the horse hung out when placed under pressure in the home straight.
 
SALBRIS- Laid in from the 400m onwards.
 
ASLLANI - Began awkwardly and lost ground. Raced greenly when restrained during the early stages.
 
MISHANI FORTUNE- Raced wide throughout and inclined to hang out until approaching the home straight.
 
 
RACE 2:   PITCHERS HOSPITALITY SUPPLIES QTIS THREE YEAR OLD COLTS AND GELDINGS MAIDEN PLATE 1000M
 
AVOCADO SUNSET - Slow to begin.
 
BATTAGLIA - Slow to begin.
 
BOOMBRASSTIC - Awkward at heels and steadied near the 900m before over racing until approaching the 600m.
 
STERLINGTON - Bumped on jumping and lost ground. Checked to avoid heels of ROUGH CUT JEWEL when it was restrained near 700m. Rider reported that his mount raced greenly throughout the event.
 
STREAKA - Trainer Chris Anderson was reprimanded under AR103(7) for failing enter the ownership details on this horses stable return.
 
MASS DESTRUCTION - Laid in under pressure in the home straight after having difficulty securing a run in the early part of the straight.
 
THE DIAMOND - Obliged to steady from heels passing the 800m and continued to be awkwardly placed at heels until approaching the 600m.
 
SIZZLING RIVER - Raced wide with no cover.
 
BELLISTIC MAN - Began awkwardly, shifted in and bumped STERLINGTON. Cast the near fore plate. Rider reported it felt awkward in its action post-race. Underwent a veterinary examination which revealed no apparent abnormalities.
 
ROUGH CUT JEWEL- Hung out middle stages. Restrained when placed in restricted room near 700m and then raced wide throughout. Rider reported it felt awkward in its action post-race. Underwent a veterinary examination which revealed no apparent abnormalities.
 
RACE 3:   SCOTT MCMAHON ELECTRICAL MAIDEN HANDICAP 1800M
 
As Andrew Mallyon was stood down by the doctor due to illness, following his previous ride, he was replaced as the rider of FRONT PAGE NEWS by Ben Thompson.
 
The start of this race was significantly delayed when SEARENTE became cast in the barriers.
 
SEARENTE - Declared a late scratching at 1.49pm on veterinary advice. All monies invested on SEARENTE were ordered to be refunded. Deductions applicable to bets placed on winner and placegetters prior to 1.49pm.

Trainer Chris Munce was advised that a Barrier Certificate would be required for the horse prior to racing again.

Trainer Krystle Johnston was advised that the horse must trial to the satisfaction of stewards prior to racing again.
 
TOROWOTO - Slow to begin. Steadied from heels approaching the 1000m when over racing.
 
TOKAI MEIGETSU- Over raced approaching the 1200m.
 
FRONT PAGE NEWS- Had difficulty securing clear running in the early stages of the home straight. Jockey Ben Thompson was reprimanded under AR 132(7)(a)(ii) for use of the whip 6 times prior to the 100m. 1 more than permitted.
 
TYCOON MCKINNEY- Placed in restricted room shortly after the start. Apprentice M Kennedy elected to ease wider passing the 800m to improve and raced wide for the remainder.
 
MORGAUSE - Trainer Ben Robinson was advised that due to the horses poor performance in todays event, it would be barred from TAB venues until its form improves to a satisfactory standard.
 
PURE DEAL - Stewards permitted Michael Cahill to ride half a kilogram overweight at 54.5kg
 
SHIERRO - Slow to begin.
 
BELUSHI - Jockey Glen Colless was reprimanded under AR 132(7)(a)(ii) for use of the whip 6 times prior to the 100m. 1 more than permitted.
 
 
RACE 4:   DIGITAL VISION DIRECT 0 – 65 HANDICAP 1800M
 
BETTER ETHICS- Jockey Jake Bayliss pleaded guilty to a charge under AR 132 (5) in that he used his whip in an excessive manner, that being 17 times. Jockey Jake Bayliss’s license to ride in races was suspended for a period of 7 days, to commence midnight 1/9/20 and to expire midnight 8/9/20.
 
REAL APPEAL- Jockey Michael Cahill reported that it was his intention to settle in a more forward position however, he was checked on jumping. He further added that he would have preferred to improve from the 600m but had difficulty obtaining clear running at that point and again in the early stages of the straight. These factors, in his opinion, had a detrimental effect on the mares performance.
 
ASTRAL KNIGHT – Improved onto heels near the 300m and obliged to alter course,
 
NO MORE BIDS- Began awkwardly and shifted in making contact with REAL APPEAL.
 
DEE CEE DELIGHTS- Apprentice Kate Cowan was reprimanded under AR 132(7)(a)(ii) for use of the whip 7 times prior to the 100m. 2 more than permitted.
 
RACE 5:   KABOOM CONCRETE PUMPING PTY LTD CLASS 4 HANDICAP 1000M
 
CHEVY NOVA - Raced 4 wide with no cover. Bumper near the 700m.
 
IMA TEAMBOY - Raced 3 wide.
 
MAD IRISH TYCOON - Blundered on jumping.
 
AFTER THE STORM - Whilst racing three wide outside the leaders near the 700m became awkward when restrained and bumped with CHEVY NOVA.
 
CORDONED - Placed in restricted room soon after the start and steadied. Laid in throughout. Had difficulty obtaining clear running early in the straight.
 
ROUGE DRUMMER - Began awkwardly and lost ground.
 
RACE 6:   TMG CONSTRUCTION BENCHMARK 70 HANDICAP 1200M
 
The start was delayed when INVIGORATING required farrier attention prior to the start.
 
DOWNLOADING - When asked to comment regarding the geldings performance Jockey Dale Smith stated that he was obliged to pressured the horse throughout the event and at no point did it travel comfortably. A post-race veterinary examination revealed soreness in the off fore fetlock. Stable representative M Sharpe was advised that a veterinary certificate would be required prior to the horse racing again.
 
UNGUARDED - Slow to begin. Improved onto heels near the 800m and steadied.
 
RACE 7:  TAB BENCHMARK 65 HANDICAP 1400M
 
JINX N DRINX - Raced wide.
 
LOVE AND ROCK IT - Over raced during the early stages.
 
COCO FASHION - Raced in restricted room near the 200m.
 
CONCAVE – Led during the event, which is in contrast to its recent racing pattern. When questioned regarding tactics Jockey J Bayliss advised that the gelding was having its first start for a new stable and whilst he was instructed to be positive out of the barriers, it had not been his intention to lead. He further added that after beginning well he elected to allow the horse to stride forward to the lead.
 
GRAND SHANGHAI - Raced wide.
 
LETS CONQUER - Jockey B Thompson reported that it was not his intention to settle in a forward position but when caught wide he then elected to push forward.
 
MADAM MAHAL - Began awkwardly and lost ground.
 

RACE 8:  THE BRANDING OFFICE CLASS 2 PLATE 1000M
 
AQUAJAK – Approaching the finish line was steadied when in close proximity to the heels of ABLE MABEL.
 
BOLD HUNTER- Raced wide and over raced during middle stages. Forced wider rounding the home turn.
 
READY TO ROAM- Raced wide with no cover. Inconvenienced and obliged to avoid heels when rounding the home turn.
 
AIR SPIRIT- Slow into stride. Approaching 900m improved to the inside of READY TO ROAM and the outside of UNCLE FRANK, which whist overracing was obliged to shift out and away from the heels of AQUAJAK which also shifted out. As a result was steadied and bumped heavily with UNCLE FRANK. Jockey Michael Cahill was advised to exercise greater care in similar circumstances. Raced wide and forced wider rounding the home turn.
 
OH FIVE GLORY- Apprentice Adin Thompson was reprimanded under AR132(a) in that he directed his mount wider rounding the home turn and caused tightening to other runners.
 
SUKOSHI- Forced wider home turn.
 
UNCLE FRANK- Whilst over racing was checked from the heels of AQUAJAK which shifted out.
