SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT
 
 
GENERAL
 
 
Race 1: ASSET ELECTRICAL BENCHMARK 70 Handicap 1400 metres
 
 
INITIALIZE – Performed below market expectations. A post-race veterinary examination of the mare revealed it to be lame in the off foreleg. Trainer P Duncan was advised that a veterinary clearance of soundness would need to be provided to Stewards prior the mare trialling or racing again.
 
NATURAL FORCE – Laid out when placed under pressure in the home straight.
 
 
 
 
Race 2: WILD COUNTRY CO. Fillies and Mares Maiden Handicap 1400 metres
 
 
OCEAN TREATY – Jockey B Thompson was reprimanded for using the whip 6 times prior to the 100m, one more than permitted.
 
TEXAS TRAMP – Raced keenly in the early stages. Held up approaching the home turn.
 
ENDLESS SIZZLE – Put in an awkward stride near the 400m.
 
FLEUR DE JOUR – After consultation with trainer K Martin, Stewards permitted apprentice S Tomlinson to ride the mare only claiming 1.5kg of his 2.0kg allowance.  Jockey S Tomlinson was reprimanded for failing to claim his full allowance.  Raced three wide without cover throughout. Laid in rounding the home turn.
 
 
 
 
Race 3: VERNON & VAZEY TRUCK PARTS PTY LTD Class 1 Handicap 1800 metres
 
 
ELOTROLADO -Began awkwardly. When questioned regarding the tactics adopted jockey M Du Plessis stated that it wasn’t his intention to lead. However after travelling a short distance and being caught wide, he elected to allow his mount to stride forward to obtain the lead without pressure near the 1500m.
 
SPURIOUS – Bumped on jumping.
 
WILLY BE LUCKY - Performed below market expectations. Rider T Harrison reported that in her opinion the gelding failed to handle today’s track condition. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.
 
SIENNA'S CHOICE – Passing the 700m was bumped and forced wider on the track by BRYNECK which was attempting to shift out to improve.
 
BRYBECK -Bumped SIENNA’S CHOICE near the 700m when attempting to shift out to improve.
 
WHO SAID SO – Commenced to overrace passing the 1600m and had to be restrained from the heels of WILLY BE LUCKY.
 
 
Following the running of this race, track remediation was undertaken near the 1600m after a report from jockey L Tilley.
 
 
 
Race 4: TAB Fillies and Mares Maiden Handicap 1000 metres
 
The start of this race was delayed when CASCUS dislodged jockey M Du Plessis on the way to the start and galloped riderless for a considerable distance before being recaptured. Acting on veterinary advice, CASCUS was declared a late scratching by Stewards at 2.48pm.
 
CASCUS – Trainer T Miller was advised that a warning be placed against the mare for her pre-race behaviour.
 
 
All bets placed on CASCUS prior to 2.48pm were to be refunded in full with the following deductions to apply:
 
1 cent for the win - SISTA ELENORE
1 cent for the place - SISTA ELENORE
4 cents for second – WEWANDA
2 cents for third – BOOM GIRL
 
 
BOOM GIRL – Raced three wide with cover throughout.
 
WEWANDA – Raced three wide without cover throughout.
 
DAFEENAH – Passing the 800m raced in restricted room and shifted in. Held up rounding the home turn.
 
PYTHIA – Slow to begin. Near the 800m was placed in restricted room after improving to the inside of DAFEENAH and was inconvenienced.
 
SHE JUST SAID IT – Passing the 800m commenced to overrace and was inclined to lay in after steadying away from the heels of ARTEMIS GIRL which shifted in. Held up rounding the home turn.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Race 5: HM DEVELOPMENTS Class 4 Plate 1000 metres
 
 
 
CHEVY NOVA – Raced four wide without cover throughout. Laid in passing the 700m crowding MOGADOR. Apprentice D Graham was advised to exercise greater care in similar circumstances.
 
KING RAGNAR – Hampered between runners near the 150m and had to be steadied.
 
RUSSIAN ROMEO – Passing the 700m was bumped on the hindquarters and became unbalanced.
 
KING KLAUS – Crowded on jumping. Shifted out under pressure near the 150m and bumped KING RAGNAR. Rider dropped his whip approaching the winning post.
 
MOGADOR – Raced three wide without cover throughout. Near the 700m was buffeted between runners.
 
RED DOULTON – Began awkwardly and shifted in. Shifted in slightly near the 150m.
 
ROCK ON DESTINY – Bumped on jumping and became unbalanced.
 
 
 
 
Race 6: FACTORY DIRECT SHUTTERS BENCHMARK 60 Handicap 2200 metres
 
 
 
 
DANTE ROSSETTI – Lost an off fore plate in running. Tired over the concluding stages. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.
 
MONDENA – Slow to begin.
 
ROUND OF APPLAUSE – Near the 1900m was forced wider by FAST DEALER and wasn’t able to obtain cover until approaching the 1400m.
 
FIELDS OF YULONG – Raced three wide with cover after passing the 900m.
 
UNIQUE JOURNEY – Slow to begin and then hampered shortly afterwards.
 
FAST DEALER – Near the 1900m commenced to overrace, improved onto heels, shifted out before restraining to obtain a trailing position.
 
ZOFGOLD – Improved onto heels near the 1400m and had to be shifted wider on the course, before being restrained to obtain cover. Near the 1100m its rider elected to shift wider to improve.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Race 7: KUSTOM PAINTS & INDUSTRIAL Class 2 Handicap 1000 metres
 
 
The start was delayed when CASH BUNDLE had to have a replacement bridle refitted.
 
 
INFLAMMABLE – As the gelding hasn’t started in a race for an extended period of time it underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was cleared to start.
 
LUVACTION – Jockey R Fradd reported his mount was inclined to lay in approaching the winning post.
 
CASH BUNDLE – Slow into stride.
 
MASSABIELLE – Trainer T Haydon was fined $100 for failing to declare a rider for the gelding by the prescribed time.
 
RICHETTI – Which was a notable market mover was sent for a post-race swab.
