Race 1: REDMAN Colts, Geldings & Entires BENCHMARK 58 Handicap 1000 metres
 
The Launcher - Began awkwardly and bumped with At The Helm.
 
Poetic Choice - Held up rounding the home turn and in the early part of the straight.
 
Viceman – Steadied near the 600m to avoid the heels of At The Helm which shifted in. Jockey L Tarrant was reprimanded pursuant to AR 131(a) for this incident.
 
Cordoned – Held up rounding the home turn and in the early part of the straight.
 
Loveson – Jockey N Fazackerley dropped his whip near the 200m.
 
Bounty Hunter – Apprentice A Patis reported that her saddle shifted back in the event. Obliged to stop riding over the concluding stages when inconvenienced.
 
At the Helm – Laid out under pressure in the home straight.
 
 
Ramblin' Man – Began awkwardly and bumped with The Launcher.  Raced wide no cover. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
 
Race 2: DAVIES BENCHMARK 65 Handicap 2200 metres
 
 
Dream Builder – Near the 300m obliged to steady and shift outwards to avoid heels.
 
Traduce  - Forced three wide near the 1200m before its rider elected to press forward and assume the lead near the 1000m.
 
Strike Sika – When the pace steadied near the 1600M its rider elected to stride forward and assume the lead near the 1200m. In light of today’s performance trainer T Thomas advised that blood tests would be taken from the gelding and forwarded to stewards.
 
Catch Me Latar – Began awkwardly and lost ground.
 
Chief Command – Forced three wide near the 900m and raced wide for the remainder.
 
 
Race 3: JENKINS Class 2 Handicap 1800 metres
 
Place Me Right – Began awkwardly, shifted in and bumped heavily with Hostile Star.Near the 200m placed in restricted room and eased when racing to the outside of Mufasta which shifted out to obtain clear running. Jockey B Stewart was advised to exercise greater care in similar circumstances.
 
Quotant – Trainer B Lineburg advised that the mare would be ridden more forward, circumstances permitting. Ridden accordingly. Near the 1400m over raced, steadied from heels and continued to overrace until passing the 1000m.
 
 
Mufasta – Following the running of this event jockey B Stewart took ill and was stood down by the club doctor.
 
Super Bazooka – Near the 300m placed in restricted room and eased when racing to the outside of Mufasta which shifted out to obtain clear running. Jockey B Stewart was reprimanded pursuant to AR 131(a) for this incident.
 
Eliabella – Jockey M Hellyer reported that it was not his intention to lead however, when caught wide he elected to press forward and assume the lead near the 1200m.
 
Hostile Star – Bumped heavily on jumping when Place Me Right shifted in.
 
 
Race 4: HUGHES BENCHMARK 70 Handicap 1200 metres
 
 
 
Venecia – Performed poorly. Post race veterinary examination found no apparent abnormalities. Trainer W Bannerot was advised that the mare would need to trial to the satisfaction of stewards prior to resuming.
 
Indian Dreamer – Slow to begin.
 
Degas – Stewards inquired into the tactics adopted by Apprentice J Huxtable and the performance of the gelding which settled worse than midfield, in contrast to its exposed racing pattern also as to why he elected to shift nearer the inside approaching home turn rather than shift wider and have an unimpeded run to the finish. Apprentice Huxtable explained that after beginning awkwardly and as his instructions were dependant as to how the gelding began, he elected to settle in the second half of the field. Apprentice Huxtable also added that whilst Degas was inclined to lay out throughout he elected to improve to the inside approaching the turn to save ground as the gelding was first up since 8 May. Apprentice Huxtable also explained that Degas did not finish of as anticipated and was disappointing but would derive benefit from the run. Stewards noted his comments.
 
 
 
Race 5: SULLIVAN Class 1 Handicap 1400 metres
 
Cubic Zirconia – Raced wide without cover. Jockey R Fradd was charged pursuant to AR132 (5) in that he used his whip 17 times, 3 more than permitted. Jockey Fradd’s license to ride in races was suspended for a period of 7 days to commence midnight 28/10/20 and expire midnight  4/11/20.
 
Epicurious – Slow to begin.
 
Durundur Lad – Near the 1000m improved onto heels, steadied and shifted wider.
 
London Fame – Began awkwardly and lost ground.
 
Madame Mo – Held up approaching the home turn and until near the 200m.
 
 
St Just – Performed below market expectations. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. When asked to comment regarding the filly’s performance Jockey M Hellyer could offer no explanation and was disappointing.
 
Cash Bundle – Slow to begin.
 
 
Race 6: CRAMOND Fillies and Mares Maiden Plate 1000 metres
 
 
 
Gala Rain – Held up home turn and had difficulty securing clear running until approaching the 200m.
 
Galaxy Gem – Reared at the start and lost ground. Improved onto heels near the 900m and had to be checked. Raced greenly and overraced until the home straight before weakening. A post race veterinary examination revealed the mare to be stepping short behind. Trainer D Hansen was advised that a veterinary certificate would be required prior to it resuming.
 
 
 
Rouge Gold – Slow to begin. Tailed off. A post race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Trainer L Tipper was advised that the mare would be required to trial to the satisfaction of stewards prior to resuming.
 
 
 
Sound Of Sleat – Jockey B Thompson reported that the mare felt awkward in its action. A post race veterinary examination revealed lameness to its near fore. Trainer B Lockwood was advised that it would require a veterinary certificate prior to resuming.
 
My Girl Sky – Raced wide without cover.
 
Tokyo Twister – Inclined to lay out in the middle stages. Laid in under pressure obliging its rider to stop riding to avoid heels near the 100m.
 
Miss Diss – Raced wide.
 
She Just Said It - Raced wide without cover.
 
 
Race 7: STRUIK Colts, Geldings and Entires Maiden Plate 1000 metres
 
Access Denied – Slow to begin.
 
Crazy Eyed Fred – Raced wide with no cover. Laid out under pressure in the home straight.
 
 
I'm Hitchin' Bro – Raced in restricted room near the 500m and unable to improve until approaching the 300m.
 
 
Mozart's Rival – Over raced early stages when restraining to obtain cover. Raced greenly in the early part of the home straight.
 
 
Thanksmisterkang – Slow to begin. Jockey M Hellyer reported the colt was inclined to lay in throughout.
