Race 1: XXXX GOLD Class 3 Handicap 1000 metres
 
Go Deep – Began awkwardly and lost ground. Obliged to race in restricted room near the 900m to the inside of Super Freak which shifted in. Apprentice K Cowan was reprimanded for this incident.  Overraced until approaching the 600m. Bumped near the 400m. When asked to comment on today’s performance Trainer D Hansen advised that he elected to remove the blinkers today as the gelding overraced at its most recent start, however he believed that this gear change may have contributed to today’s performance, which he felt was disappointing and it would be his intention to add blinkers for its next start.

Better Than Groovy – Shifted out near the 400m to secure clear running making heavy contact with Go Deep before shifting back to the inside. Adam Spinks was fined $400 pursuant to AR131(a) in that he used the whip 6 times prior to the 100m, 1 more than permitted.
 
Representing – Slow to begin.
 
Super Freak – When asked to comment regarding a perceived improved performance of the mare, stable representative M  Seymour said that the stable was not disappointed with its first up effort after having a wide run and noted the weight drop of 7 kgs for today’s event and with natural improvement second up they were not surprised by the improvement.
 
 
 
 
 
Race 2: DYFA PLUMBING RATINGS BAND 0 - 55 Handicap 1000 metres
 
Fearless Queen – Raced three wide no cover.
 
Curry Connection – Overraced for a short distance when restrained near the 850m.
 
She's A Mitzy – Began awkwardly and lost ground.
 
Clairvue Spirit – Correct weight was delayed to afford M Hellyer the opportunity to view the film and ascertain any grounds for a possible objection. On review M Hellyer elected not to proceed. Slow to begin. Stewards inquired into the reasons for the gelding checking near the 800m. Subsequently it was established that Exceedingly Mehga raced greenly to the outside and shifted in at that point despite the efforts of its rider, which placed Clairvue Spirit in restricted room. Clairvue Spirit was further tightened for room when Exceedingly Mehga shifted in and away from Fearless Queen which shifted in when not sufficiently clear. Jockey D Smith was reprimanded for this incident.
 
Exceedingly Mehga – Began awkwardly. Raced greenly near the 800m, became unbalanced and shifted in, contributing to interference suffered by Clairvue Spirit.
 
 
Race 3: ST CLAIR SHEETMETAL BENCHMARK 55 Handicap 1600 metres
 
Grenadiers – Raced wide early then ridden forward to lead near the 1100m.
 
Joy's Reward – Slow to begin.
 
London Fame – Slow to begin. Commenced to weaken from the 700m. Postrace veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Trainer T Thomas was advised that the gelding would be required to trial to the satisfaction of stewards prior to again racing.
 
The Knight – Laid out throughout the event, in particular over the final 300m and proved difficult to ride. Postrace veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.
 
Manhattanite – Slow to begin.
 
Spurious – Eased wider to improve near the 800m and raced wide for the remainder. Apprentice K Cowan pleaded to a charge pursuant to AR132(7)(a)(ii) in that she used the whip 10 times prior to the 100m, 5 more than permitted. Apprentice Cowans license to ride in races was suspended for a period of 8 days to commence midnight  7/11/20  and expire midnight 15/11/20.
 
Spirit OF Edyn – Trainer L Richardson was fined $100 for failing to declare a rider within the prescribed time.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Race 4: PROLIQUOR Class 2 Handicap 1400 metres
 
 
Hostage Of War – Jockey J Bayliss was reprimanded pursuant to AR132(7)(a)(ii) in that he used the whip 6 times prior to the 100m, 1 more than permitted.
 
Call Me Legend – Held up for clear running near the 250m.
 
Endless Mystery – Slow to begin. Bumped near the 250m.
 
Mr Azray – Overraced early.
 
Birkin Black -  Raced wide without cover.
 
Valadyium - Overraced early. Bumped with Endless Mystery when shifting out to improve near the 250m.
 
Dulcie Tie – Cast the off hind plate in running.
 
Mont Mont – Raced three wide with cover.
 
 
Race 5: SKY RACING Class 1 Handicap 1200 metres
 
Sky Channel rescheduled this event to commence at 3.55pm
 
Falvey's Spirit – Weakened in the home straight. Post race veterinary examination determined that the mare had a poor post race recovery. Trainer D Bougoure advised stewards that in light of todays performance he would have blood tests performed and would advised stewards should these samples find anything to explain the performance.
 
Nicks – Slow to begin. Jockey J Bayliss was charged pursuant to AR132(7)(a)(ii) in that he used the whip 6 times prior to the 100m, 1 more than permitted and fined $300.
 
 
Race 6: XXXX DRY Class 1 Handicap 1200 metres
 
All To Do – Jockey J Bayliss was charged pursuant to AR132(7)(a)(ii) in that he used the whip 6 times prior to the 100m, 1 more than permitted and fined $300.
 
Fighting Commando – Stewards acceded to a late request from Trainer N Hocking to replace  Jackson Morris as the rider of Fighting Commando with Nathan Thomas. Mr Hocking was advised that pursuant to AR 20 (i) the riding fee and any percentages earnt by his runner would also be payable to J Morris. Slow to begin.
 
Dejanova – Rider T Brooker dropped her whip near the 200m.
 
Kokopo Kitty – Momentarily held up rounding the home turn.
 
Bid In A Hurry -  Adam Spinks was fined $400 pursuant to AR131(a) in that he used the whip 6 times prior to the 100m, 1 more than permitted.
