Due to major traffic delays all race times were amended as follows:

Race 1: XXXX GOLD Class 4 Handicap 1400 metres
 
SCRATCHES - As the mare had not raced for over 12 months, it underwent a veterinary examination prior to the race and was cleared to race.
 
ZOUCARA - Slow to begin.
 
THE GOLDEN HIND – Correct weight was delayed as Jockey S Thornton and Trainer M Hoysted requested to view the photo for 2nd. After they viewed the photo, correct weight was declared.
 
BRINKMANSHIP - Raced keenly in the early stages.
 
Race 2: HARRY FINLAY'S 21ST QTIS Two-Year-Old Maiden Handicap 1000 metres
 
DUYFKEN – Jumped awkwardly inwards.
 
ENDINAYE – Buffeted on jumping between LEMON LOVER and DUYFKEN.
 
PUBS AND KISSES – Laid in under pressure in the straight.
 
VEVI PASS – Lost ground at the start when inconvenienced by OBER PURKLA, raced three wide without cover throughout. A post-race veterinary examination revealed to gelding to be suffering from mild heat stress.
 
LEMON LOVER – Jumped awkwardly outwards, commence to over race near the 900m and had to be steadied off the heels of HEADLANDER.
 
OBER PURKLA – Jumped awkwardly outwards.
 
Race 3: XXXX DRY BENCHMARK 68 Handicap 1000 metres
 
ARTHUR IN CHARGE – Slow to begin, steadied when awkwardly placed on the heels of BID IN A HURRY near the 500m, held up in the early part of the straight.
 
DYNAMIC VERSE – Slow to begin, over raced in the early stages.
 
Race 4: IRON JACK Maiden Handicap 1400 metres
 
SAVILE ROW – Slow into stride.
 
ALL JEED UP - Proved difficult to settle in the early stages.
 
SAVVINESS – Raced three wide throughout.
 
ELGIN – Lost ground on jumping after being bumped by ARJAYAR. Rider reported that the gelding was inclined to lay out throughout and he had difficulty riding his mount out fully in the straight.
 
EASY RUBY – A post-race veterinary examination revealed the filly to have heat stress and a mild case of the thumps.
 
ICE ELITE – Slow to begin.
 
ARJAYAR – Jumped awkwardly inwards making contact with ELGIN, pulled hard in the early stages.
 
QUEEN SAFARI – Pulled hard in the early stages, near the 600m laid outwards and became awkwardly placed on the heels of SAVVINESS.
 
 
Race 5: FURPHY Maiden Plate 1800 metres
 
ADVERTISING - Rider J Adams was fined $300 under AR132(7)(a)(ii) for using his whip on six occasions prior to the 100m, two more than permitted.
 
MISTA LONGHORN – Slow to begin.
 
TWO SMOKIN BARRELS – Laid out under pressure in the straight.
 
VANDERWINK – Proved extremely difficult to settle throughout despite the efforts of its rider.
 
LILIVALE LIBERTY – Slow to begin.
 
CARTIAIR – Over raced in the middle stages.
 
Race 6: THE GORGEOUS BENCHMARK 68 Handicap 1800 metres
 
MISS SILKY – Pulled hard in the early stages.
 
CERTAIN DOUBT – Pulled hard in the early and middle stages.
 
THRUM – Laid out under pressure in the straight.
 
PEXBURY AVENUE – Slow to begin.
 
Race 7: JAMES SQUIRE BROKEN SHACKLES QTIS Three-Year-Old Handicap 1000 metres
 
BROKEN HERO – Was inconvenienced at the start when THE DARLING shifted out.
 
FIVE OXFORD – Raced three wide throughout and laid outwards making the turn into the straight.
 
LA READY ROSA – Jumped awkwardly inwards making contact with the hindquarters of PATTY’S FORTUNE.
 
PATTY'S FORTUNE – Bumped on jumping, dipped near the 800m.
 
THE DARLING - Apprentice K Wilson-Taylor was reminded of his obligations under AR 131(b) to ride his mounts out to the end of the race.
 
Race 8: EUMUNDI LAGER Class 1 Handicap 1200 metres
 
CHECKERS - Inconvenienced and carried out on jumping, then made contact with TAVINO.
 
TAVINO - Clipped heels and blundered after being severely crowed on jumping between CHECKERS which shifted out and MALEEKA BLUES which was carried inwards to the inside of SLIGHTLY SHADY and NOWISEVERYTHING.
 
MALEEKA BLUES - Severely crowded on jumping between TAVINO which was carried outwards and SLIGHTLY SHADY which was carried inwards when racing tight to the inside of NOWISEVERYTHING. When questioned regarding the apparent disappointing performance rider stated that after being crowded on jumping the mare had a tendency to over race and failed to run on when placed under pressure in the straight. He also reported that the mare made respiratory noises on pulling up after the race. A post-race veterinary examination revealed that the mare was showing signs of a respiratory condition and a slow post-race recovery. It also returned with lacerations to both hind pasterns. Trainer D Vandyke was advised to have the mare scoped and obtain a veterinary certificate of clearance prior to MALEEKA BLUES starting again.
 
SIR PICCOLO – Got its head up whilst being steadied off the heels of TAVINO near the 800m.
 
NOWISEVERYTHING – Jumped inwards at the start, raced three wide throughout.
 
LOVE ME BROKE - Blundered on jumping and shifted out.
 
RAMBLIN' MAN – When questioned regarding performance of the gelding Trainer T Miller stated that RAMBLIN’ MAN had trialled well during the week and was better suited over the 1200m and racing up on the pace as it was able to do today. Trainer Miller’s explanations were noted.
 
SLIGHTLY SHADY – Crowded and lost ground when crowded on jumping between MALEEKA BLUES and NOWISEVERYTHING which shifted in.
