GENERAL
Ryan Wiggins was examined by the Club Doctor and passed fit to fulfil his engagements.
 
Following Race 4, jockey Sean Cormack was examined by the Club Doctor and stood down from his remaining ride. Sean Cormack was advised that he must obtain a medical clearance prior to riding again.
 
Race 1: SECURE ACCESS PTY LTD Maiden Plate 2200 metres
 
ADVERTISING – Raced wide without cover from the 800m.
 
JAKK'S RIGHT – Performed below market expectations. Rider L Tarrant stated the gelding failed to travel throughout. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
 
TRUTHIZ – Over raced in the early and middle stages.
 
 
Race 2: SCOTT MCMAHON ELECTRICAL QTIS Two-Year-Old Maiden Handicap 1000 metres
 
DANEROCK – Began awkwardly, shifted in and bumped SACCA. Raced greenly throughout. Near the 250m was inconvenienced by REALAIDE which shifted out abruptly away from MIKKI’S MISTRESS.
 
REALAIDE – Began awkwardly, failed to muster early speed and tailed the field by a considerable distance. Near the 250m, shifted out abruptly away from MIKKI’S MISTRESS. Trainer S Kendrick was advised that the colt must trial to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to racing again due to failing to muster early speed, tailing the field. Trainer S Kendrick advised that the colt would now be spelled.
 
SACCA – Bumped at the start.
 
IMMEDIATE RESPONSE – Began awkwardly. Raced greenly throughout. Laid out in the home straight.
 
MIKKI'S MISTRESS – Raced wide without cover.
 
ROSE OF DUPORTH – Bounded at the start and lost ground.
 
 
Race 3: ACCESS INSULATION SUNSHINE COAST QTIS Three-Year-Old BENCHMARK 65 Handicap 1000 metres
 
SIMPLY FLY – Restrained after the start. Raced keenly in the middle stages.
 
BOOM RANGA – Slow to begin.
 
MISHANI APPEAL – Slow to begin.
 
PATTY'S FORTUNE – Began awkwardly. Laid out in the home straight.
 
 
Race 4: ALL FENCING SUNSHINE COAST Colts, Geldings and Entires Class 1 Handicap 1400 metres
 
OUTBACK GLADIATOR – Hampered at the start between ENSENADA and HELSUN. Near the 500m was steadied away from the heels of BEAUTY CANTO.
 
BELLICOSE – Pulled hard in the early and middle stages.
 
ENSENADA – Checked near the 1200m to avoid the heels of HELSUN, which shift in and away from BELLICOSE. Held up rounding the home turn and until passing the 200m. Near the 50 carried out by HELSUN and bumped with CAIRNDOW.
 
RED RIVER LAD – Raced wide without cover. Hung out from the 700m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Co trainer J Symons advised Stewards that the gelding would be spelled.
 
SABIE PARK – Bounded at the start. Over raced in the early stages when being restrained to gain cover near the 1200m. Raced wide with cover. Rider B Thompson stated the gelding failed to respond to his riding in the home straight.
 
CAIRNDOW – Began awkwardly. Held up in the home straight until passing the 200m. Near the 50m was bumped by ENSENADA.
 
HELSUN – Pulled hard in the early and middle stages. Rider Andrew Spinks reported the gelding hung in throughout.
 
 
Race 5: FINCIERGE OPEN Handicap 1000 metres
 
VICTORY EIGHT – Failed to muster early speed.
 
VALARIO – Raced wide without cover. Performed below market expectations. Rider B Stewart stated he was not disappointed with the performance, after racing wide. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
 
GYPSY TOFF – Began awkwardly. Raced keenly in the middle stages.
 
UNGUARDED – Slow to begin.
 
KING KLAUS – Laid out rounding the home turn and in the home straight.
 
 
Race 6: PARKLANDS TAVERN Class 2 Handicap 1200 metres
 
FINAL DECLARATION – Raced fierce in the early and middle stages. Tactics queried, Rider C Meehan stated, the gelding refuses to settled in his races. It was his intention to gain cover to get the gelding to settle, however the gelding did not settle and raced fierce. Trainer C Fogden confirmed that the intention was to gain cover and in the small field settled a pair further back than intended. Trainer C Fogden advised that the gelding would be spelled.
 
DEJANOVA – Rider T Brooker was reprimanded under AR132(7)(a)(ii) for the use of her whip on six occasions prior to the 100m, one more than permitted.
 
 
Race 7: KENDRICK RACING Class 2 Handicap 1200 metres
 
UNIMPEDED – Laid out in the home straight.
 
LIEUTENANT – Began awkwardly. Over raced in the early stages when being restrained to gain cover.
 
RAMBLIN' MAN – Raced wide until passing the 800m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
 
DEVILLAIN – Raced wide without cover.
 
 
Race 8: TRAVIS SCHULTZ & PARTNERS BENCHMARK 60 Handicap 1000 metres
 
DEADLY SINS – Raced wide without cover. A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding identified an atrial fibrillation. DEADLY SINS shall not start in any race until the Stewards have received a satisfactory veterinary report. The report must include the results of an ECG performed at rest and cardiac auscultation performed within 30 minutes of completing a satisfactory official trial.
 
AONACH MOR – Near the 700m, tightened and was steadied between CLANG AGAIN and IAMICAN (M Du Plessis) which shifted out when not clear. Rider M Du Plessis was reprimanded under AR131(a) careless riding, for permitting his mount to shift out when not clear. Near the 500m raced in the restricted room and was steadied.
 
MINT STRIP – Slow to begin.
 
SUPER FREAK – Raced wide with cover.
 
ROGUE DRUMMER – Fractious in the barriers, began awkwardly.
 
CLANG AGAIN – Raced wide without cover.
 
LOVE ME BROKE – Reared at the start and lost ground.
 
 
Race 9: TAB LONG MAY WE PLAY Fillies and Mares Class 1 Handicap 1400 metres
 
SENTIMENTAL MISS – Took charge of Apprentice W Peel in the preliminary, galloping the circumference of the track. Late scratching at 5.03pm by order of Stewards. All monies bet for a win and/or place and concession betting on the late scratching to be refunded.

KASEAR – Rider Andrew Spinks reported that the filly was not comfortable on the Soft 7 track.
 
TO DEM WITH LOVE – Bumped at start.
 
TICINO BELLE – Near the 350m was disappointed for a run to the inside of MISS GOLD BOUNTY which shifted out momentarily. Held up until the 200m.
 
STARFILLY – Began awkwardly, shifted out and bumped TO DEM WITH LOVE. Over raced in the early and middle stages. Near the 800m when over racing was checked after improving close to heels.
 
SLIGHTLY SHADY – Raced wide with cover.
 
ALL ELLIE – Bumped and start, shortly after the start steadied away from the heels of KASEAR which shifted out.
