SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT

Panel: K Daly, J Williamson

From Toowoomba QRIC office, May 13th 2021: Stewards opened an inquiry into anincident rounding the home turn which resulted in MISS BULITZ, ridden by RGoldsbury, being taken wider on the track when racing to the inside of MIRALIE,ridden by L McCoy in Race 3 Band 0-60 Hdcp at Burrandowan on 8th May2021.
This inquiry was unable to be commenced on the day as R Goldsbury had to leave the course to fulfillengagements at the Toowoomba meeting conducted that evening.  Leannne McCoy was subsequently found guilty ofa charge of improper riding under AR 131(a) in that approaching and roundingthe home turn she intentionally directed MIRALIE outwards and rode aggressivelywhich resulted in MIRALIE shifting out and contacting MISS BULITZ which becameunbalanced and lost ground. The licence of L McCoy to ride in races wassuspended for a period of 3 weeks to commence midnight 15th May upto and including 5th June 2021. In assessing penalty Stewards tookinto account recent penalty precedents under this rule, her very good riding recordover a long period of time, as well as Ms McCoy’s current personal
