Race 1: REED RACING Class 6 Handicap 1600 metres
 
BOLD ASSASSIN – Due to acceptable reasons jockey R Stewart replaced Jockey R Wiggins. Approaching the 1200m had to steady off the heels of WARP SPEED which shifted in.
 
FORT WAYNE – Due to jockey R Maloney not being able to make the weight he was replaced with jockey B Thompson and subsequently charged under AR190(3) and fined $200. Race three wide throughout. Bumped with I COULD DO BETTER on several occasions between the 1400m and the 1300m. Laid inwards in the home straight.
 
I COULD DO BETTER – Slow to begin. Bumped with FORT WAYNE on several occasions between the 1400m and the 1300m. B Thompson was advised to exercise care when shifting in.
 
WARP SPEED – Laid in passing the 200m.
 
MINOR LUCK – Jockey A Spinks, rider of MINOR LUCK, was fined $500 under AR132(7)(a)(ii) for use of the whip on seven occasions prior to the 100m, two more than permitted (8th offence last 12months).  
 
Race 2: ACCESS INSULATION SUNSHINE COAST Three-Year-Old Handicap 1000 metres
 
GOLDSBOROUGH – Raced three wide with cover throughout. Laid inwards in the home straight.
 
ELOQUENTLY – Began awkwardly.
 
SACRED ZIM – Bumped on jumping with BOLD AND LUCY. Raced three wide throughout.
 
PHANTOM SPIRIT – Slow to begin, and shortly after the start restrained from the heels of DUSTY TYCOON which shifted out slightly. Raced keenly approaching the 800m.
 
SALBRIS – Bumped on jumping.
 
BOLD AND LUCY – Bumped on jumping with SACRED ZIM. Raced keenly approaching the 800m. Raced four wide throughout.
 
Race 3: BUTLER MCDERMOTT LAWYERS BRUCE MCLACHLAN CLASSIC Two-Years-Old Handicap 1000 metres
 
MISS HIPSTAR – Due to jockey M Wishart being indisposed, Stewards approved jockey A Patis to replace her. Began awkwardly before contacting BERDINI'S GIRL.
 
YOU'LL BE MIST – Laid inward under pressure in the straight.
 
SEQUESAY – Raced keenly in the early stages. Laid inwards in the home straight before being eased down over the final 100m. Ridder reported that SEQUESAY put in an awkward stride at the top of the home straight and subsequently underwent a post-race veterinary examination in which it was found to be sore in the rump region and would require a veterinary certificate prior to its next start.
 
SACCA – Laid inwards in the home straight and passing the 200m was momentarily disappointed for clear running when YOU'LL BE MIST shifted in.
 
BERDINI'S GIRL – Bumped on jumping. Raced wide throughout.
 
MISHANI DELIGHT – Fractious in the barriers.
 
ATREVIDA – Due to jockey M McGillivray not being able to make the weight he was  replaced with jockey R Stewart and subsequently charged under AR190(3) and fined $200.
 
MAMA ROCKS – Began awkwardly.  
 
 
Race 4: MARTIN COLLINS AUSTRALIA OPEN Handicap 1000 metres
 
I'VE GOTTA NEL – W Peel – Due to jockey M Wishart being indisposed, Stewards approved jockey W Peel to replace her.
 
TOTALLY CHARMED – Slow to begin.
 
Race 5: ALLCHIN AIRCONDITIONING & REFRIGERATION CALOUNDRA CUP 2400 metres
 
WU GOK – Jockey L Dittman reported that WU GOK travelled well throughout the race, however failed to respond when placed under pressure. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to be lame in both hind legs and sore over the rump region and would require a veterinary certificate prior to its next start.
 
HAPPY GO PLUCKY – Laid out in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a minor laceration to its off fore consistent with being galloped on.
 
FLASH AAH – Due to jockey M Wishart being indisposed and, as this race was a non-claiming race Stewards approved jockey S Collett to replace her. Laid inwards in the home straight.
 
PICKA PLUM – Began awkwardly.
 
Race 6: SKY RACING PROVINCIAL SPRINTERS SERIES (FINAL) BENCHMARK 80 Handicap 1200 metres
 
JARDIN ROUGE – Carried out slightly shortly after the 1000m when REBEL ROCK was steadied. Three wide with cover.
 
FUJI FLYER – Reared as the start was affected.
 
BOGEY MAN – Shortly after the 1000m steadied off the heels of BETTER REFLECTION which shifted in.
 
L'COSMO – Jockey R Maloney reported that L’COSMO raced a bit keenly throughout. Underwent a post-race veterinarian examination which determined the mare to be exhibiting signs of thumbs. Trainer D Vandyke advised that it was his intentions to retire the mare from racing.
 
REBEL ROCK – Shortly after 1000m REBEL ROCK steadied from the heels of BOGEY MAN. Near the 600m had to be eased outwards when awkwardly placed on the heels of BOGEY MAN. Held up coming into the home straight.
 
RENOUF – Shortly after 1000m when racing keenly steadied from the heels of JARDIN ROUGE which shifted outwards. Raced three wide with cover throughout. Near the 600m had to be eased outwards when awkwardly places on the heels of JARDIN ROUGE.
 
PERFECT AIM – Raced three wide throughout.
 
Following this race, the track was upgraded to a soft 6.
 
Race 7: WINX GUINEAS (3YO) 1600 metres
 
TUMBLER RIDGE – Bumped with MAGIC CONQUEROR shortly after the start. Steadied off the heels of MEG near the 350m and there after was buffeted and held up for clear running for a short distance. Cast near fore plate in running.
 
MAGIC CONQUEROR – Bumped on jumping. Bumped with TUMBLER RIDGE shortly after the start. Raced three wide without cover throughout.
 
NOT AN OPTION – Raced three wide with cover throughout.
 
CRACKER ESSGEE – Resaddled on arrival to the barriers
 
BATANGAS ENTRY – A post-race veterinary examination of BATANGAS ENTRY identified the presence of blood in both nostrils. BATANGAS ENTRY shall not without the permission of the Stewards : (a) be trained, exercised, or galloped on any racecourse for a period of two months; (b) start in any race for a period of three months, and then only after a satisfactory gallop of at least 1,000m in the presence of a Steward. AR79(4)
 
MOB BUSTER – J Orman – Declared a late scratching at 1:31pm after the gelding was found to have nasal discharge. Trainer M Taylor was advised that the gelding will require a veterinary clearance prior to racing again.
 
ROGUE ROCKER – Bumped on jumping. Was held up for a short distance passing the 400m on the heels of BETTER LAD. Had difficult obtaining clear running between the 300m and 100m.
 
WITHOUT THINKING – M Hellyer – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination due to being kicked by another runner behind the barriers and was found to have a laceration to its inside off hind and was subsequently scratched at 4:21pm

BETTER LAD – Leaving the 1300m was steadied when crowded to the inside of DZSENIFER which was carried inwards by MEG. Jockey S Collett was reprimanded after being shown the incident and was advised to take greater care when shifting ground in the future.
 
DZSENIFER – Resaddled on arrival to the barriers. Jumped away awkwardly.
 
GLITTER STRIP – Crowed on jumping between BETTER LAD and DZSENIFER which jumped awkwardly inwards.
 
THE ACTUARY – Slow to begin.
 
MEG – Leaving the 1400m bumped with PALAISIPAN. Underwent a veterinary examination after jockey S Collett reported the filly had been galloped on and returned with minor laceration to both hind legs. Near the 350m steadied when PALAISIPAN rolled outwards.
 
GUNMETAL GIRL – Buffeted on jumping. Raced three wide with cover throughout.
 
Race 8: TAB GLASSHOUSE HANDICAP 1400 metres
 
EMERALD KINGDOM – Declared a late scratching at 1:56pm after the gelding was found to have been lame in the near fore. Trainer R Heathcote was advised that the gelding will require a veterinary clearance prior to racing again.
 
SCALLOPINI – Bumped with DESERT LORD at the 1350m. Cast both fore plates in running.
 
COVENTINA BAY – Raced three wide with cover throughout.
 
DESERT LORD – Bumped with SCALLOPINI at the 1350m.
 
SNITCH – Crowded on jumping.
 
PROMETHEUS – Raced three wide throughout.
 
SPLENDORONTHEGRASS – Trainer D Vandyke advised the Stewards that it was the intentions to have the mare ridden further back with cover. Ridden accordingly.
 
Race 9: SUNSHINE COAST BUSINESS SOLUTIONS BM75 Handicap 1400 metres
 
FABULONH – Bumped with SHIJIN on jumping.
 
KALI – Near the 200m when giving ground steadied off the heels of SPIRIT ESPRIT which rolled outwards.
 
LOVE EXPRESS – Held up for clear running in the early part of the straight.
 
SHIJIN – Due to jockey M Wishart being indisposed, Stewards approved jockey W Peel to replace her. Bumped with FABULONH on jumping.
 
EAST ASIA – Reared as the start was affected.
 
KING'S RULE – Raced keenly in the back straight.
 
FEDERAL AGENT – Began awkwardly.
