SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT
 
 
GENERAL
 
As B Nothdurft was not riding at the meeting due for acceptable reasons, riding changes were made as per the Race Day summary sheet.
 
Due to current Covid restrictions Stewards permitted the following weight variation:
Race 5: M Hellyer – ABOVE THE SKY - 55kgs (+1kg)
 
Race 1: CADE MEDIA QTIS Three-Year-Old Colts and Geldings
Maiden Plate 1000 metres
 
BOLD HALO – Slow to begin. Hung out from the 600 metres until entering the home straight.
 
DAULAT TAIFUN AZIZ – Checked when placed in restricted room leaving the 900 metres. Raced greenly for the majority of the event. Rider J Molloy reported, in his opinion, the horse would derive benefit from the race experience.
 
FASTNET JACK – Raced greenly and shifted out when placed under pressure in the home straight.
 
IRISH RAIDER – Raced three wide without cover throughout the event.
 
MUSCHIALLI – Raced three wide with cover for the majority of the event. Steadied from heels near the 800 metres.
 
RICHUNCLEMONEYBAGS – Slow to begin. Steadied from heels near the 900 metres and shifted out. When inclined to lay in and had difficulty securing clear running in the early stages of the home straight.
 
COMMIT TO SUCCESS - Lost off fore plate in running.
 
Race 2: GOLDEN BEACH SS P&C QTIS Three-Year-Old Fillies Maiden
Plate 1000 metres
 
The start of this event was delayed approximately 7 minutes due to ROYAL NICCI proving very difficult to load and PRETTY FLASH being unable to be loaded into the barriers. PRETTY FLASH was subsequently declared a late scratching at 6:36pm as a result of being unable to be loaded into the barriers. On declaration of correct weight Stewards ordered all bets on PRETTY FLASH be refunded in full and the following deductions to apply:
 
1st ROYAL NICCI - 25c win, 18c place
2nd EMPRESS ZOU – 17c place
3rd SUNDARA – 22c place
 
Co-Trainer M Hoysted was advised PRETTY FLASH would require a further barrier certificate prior to its next race start.
 
ARGYLE PINK – Raced greenly throughout the event. Raced four wide for the majority of the event. Lost near fore plate in running.
 
DAY TIME MARTINIS – Raced greenly throughout the event.
 
EMPRESS ZOU –Raced four wide for the majority of the event. After passing the 900 metres bumped with SUNDARA and became unbalanced.
 
FLYING JUSTICE – Began awkwardly and lost ground.
 
MAH PRECIOUS – Slow to begin. Rider J Orman reported the filly travelled well in the early stages of the event, however shortened stride in the home straight and was not comfortable in its action. A post-race veterinary examination revealed MAH PRECIOUS to be shin sore in both forelegs. Co-Trainer M Sears was advised MAH PRECIOUS would require a 6 weeks spell or a veterinary clearance if the horse was to start within that time.
 
QUEENSLANDER – Slow to begin.
 
ROYAL NICCI – Proved very difficult to load. Trainer C Anderson was advised the filly would require a further barrier certificate prior to its next race start.
 
SUNDARA – Raced three wide without cover throughout the event. Passing the 900 metres raced in restricted room and as a result became unbalanced. Held up for clear running rounding the home turn.
 
SWANIC BOOM – Raced greenly in the home straight and became unbalanced near the 250 metres when awkwardly placed at heels.
 
TAORMINA DUCHESS – Raced three wide throughout the event.
 
 
Race 3: COLD CONTROL Colts, Geldings and Entires BENCHMARK 65
Handicap 1000 metres
 
The start of this event was delayed approximately 2 minutes due to the delay from Race 2.
 
MAYA BAY – Raced three wide without cover throughout the event.
 
LOGAN'S BLADE – Obliged to race in restricted room over the concluding stages and unable to be fully tested in the run to the finish line.
 
ALLEZ ZOU (NZ) – Bumped on jumping.
 
ARCHERY BUTTS – As had not started for an extended period, underwent a pre-race veterinary examination, and was cleared to start. Began awkwardly and lost ground. Over-raced in the early stages.
 
 
Race 4: NAVIGATORS BY PELICAN WATERS & HENZELLS AGENCY
Maiden Handicap 1400 metres
 
PORT MOURANT – Slow to begin.
 
BEANHUGGED – Bumped on a number of occasions and lost ground between the 1200 metres and the 1000 metres.
 
DEEP TEMPEST (NZ) – When laying out rider R Maloney lost use of his offside rein between the 1200 metres and 1000 metres and as a result bumped with BEANHUGGED on several occasions. 
 
PETRILLO (NZ) – Slow to begin. Raced wide for the majority of the event.
 
MILITARY MEN – Raced wide for the majority of the event. Rider L Cassidy reported due to the wet conditions he momentarily lost use of his offside rein near the 300 metres.
 
ATE HINCHES – Over-raced passing the 900 metres and improved onto heels near the 800 metres and had to be checked. Continued to over-race until entering the home straight.
 
ACRACKER – A post-race veterinary examination revealed lameness behind. Trainer M Renehan indicated ACRACKER would now be retired however was advised the horse would require a veterinary clearance and must also trial satisfactorily if these circumstances were to change.
 
CHOUX WING – A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
 
NANNA KNUCKEY – Slow to begin. Held up rounding the home turn until a point near the 200 metres when obliged to steady from heels before shifting inwards to obtain clear running a short distance later.
 
FLECKERL – Trainer R Davidson was reprimanded under LR67 for the late declaration of rider on that mare. On arrival at the barriers the saddle was readjusted on FRECKERL. Over-raced near the 900 metres and passing the 800 metres had to be steadied from heels.
 
RAGING WATER (NZ) – Slow to begin. Raced wide for the majority of the event.
 
 
Race 5: HUTCHINSON BUILDERS SUNSHINE COAST Class 2 Handicap 1400 metres
 
LEXINGTON LAD was declared a late scratching at 8:03pm after becoming fractious in the barriers, kicking out behind resulting in the geldings off hind leg becoming cast in the barriers. On declaration of correct weight Stewards ordered all bets on LEXINGTON LAD be refunded in full and the following deductions to apply:
 
1st COLLAY’S SPIRIT - 5c win, 10c place
2nd TICK TOCK BOOM – 5c place
3rd VITAL SOURCE – 4c place
 
Co-Trainer A Simpson was advised LEXINGTON LAD would require a veterinary clearance and a further barrier certificate prior to its next race start.
 
BRANDO – Raced three wide for the majority of the event.
 
EXPLOSIVE TRUTH – When over-racing shifted in and bumped the running rail on several occasions near the 1200 metres.
 
VITAL SOURCE – Slow to begin.
 
 
Race 6: CADE MEDIA Class 1 Handicap 1200 metres
 
The start was delayed when KEETA and ATLANTIC ROSE, after being loaded into the incorrect barriers, were removed and loaded into their correct barriers.
 
GAUNTLET – Change of tactics, to be ridden back in the field circumstances permitting.
 
ASCOT EXPRESS (NZ) – Put in an awkward stride near the 500 metres. Near the 450 metres shifted out to improve and inconvenienced BOLD PEDRO. Raced wide for the majority of the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed lameness in the near foreleg. Trainer B Baldwin was advised the gelding would require a veterinary clearance prior to its next race start.
 
THATFEELSBETTER – Over-raced in the early and middle stages of the event. Held up for clear running near the 300 metres before shifting out and bumping heavily with MOZART’S RIVAL.
 
I AM SUPERIOR – Obliged to steady from the heels of ROZEIRA near the 300 metres.
 
MOZART'S RIVAL – Bumped heavily near the 300 metres when THATFEELS BETTER shifted out to improve. J Guthmann-Chester, rider of THATFEELSBETTER, was reprimanded under AR131(a) for carelessness.
 
CAPITAL MISS – Jumped out at the start. Held up for clear running between the 600 metres and the entrance to the home straight.
 
BOLD PEDRO – Inconvenienced near the 450 metres and forced wider on the track. Raced wide for the majority of the event.
 
ATLANTIC ROSE – Began awkwardly and lost ground. Held for clear running from the entrance to the home straight until a point near the 200 metres.
 
ROZEIRA – Raced in restricted room near the 300 metres and had to be steadied. Raced wide for the majority of the event.
 
SIDEWALK – Crowded on jumping and lost ground.
 
 
Race 7: GOLDEN BEACH SS P&C BENCHMARK 62 Handicap 1800 metres
 
DEMURRAL – Bumped near the 600 metres and again rounding the home turn when OUTBACK GLADIATOR shifted out to improve.
 
SHY GIRL (NZ) – When being loaded into the barriers kicked out behind, underwent a veterinary examination and was cleared to start. Trainer G Duncan was advised the mare would require a further barrier certificate prior to its next race start. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
 
IPSO NEM FELEK – Raced in restricted room for a short distance near the 400 metres. The licence of J Molloy to ride in races was suspended for a period of seven days from midnight 13th November up to and including midnight 20th November 2021 under AR132(7)(a)(ii) for use of the whip on 11 occasions prior to the 100 metres, 6 more than permitted.
 
JUST A PATSY – Obliged to race in restricted room near the 900 metres and a short distance later shifted out and raced three wide for the remainder of the event.
 
TONI TOO (NZ) – Slow to begin. Raced wide in the early and middle stages of the event.
 
TRAVOLI – Bumped on jumping.
 
ENTERPRISE MAXIMUS – Over-raced between the 1400 metres and the 1100 metres when being restrained to obtain cover.
