Take Me On - J Stanley +0.5GENERALRace 1: ORIGIN CRANES QTIS Three-Year-Old BENCHMARK 65 Handicap 1400 metres WHY WE DRINK – Clipped heels and blundered approaching the 1200m, dislodging jockey M Cahill, stewards adjourned an inquiry into this incident to a day to be fixed. When riderless following the event attempted to jump the outside fence making heavy contact. Post-race veterinary examination revealed swelling nearside chest and minor lacerations to the offside shoulder. CARRIBEAN KING (NZ) – Near the 1000m severely inconvenienced and checked by the riderless WHY WE DRINK. AWAIT THE STORM - Approaching the 1000m severely inconvenienced and checked by the riderless WHY WE DRINK. VETTA VELOCITA – Slow to begin. LATE NIGHT DEVIL – Slow to begin. Following the delay with jockey M Cahill being taken to hospital all races were put back one race time. Race 2: DIVERSE BUILDING AND ROOFING Maiden Handicap 1400 metres BEANHUGGED – Laid in under pressure in the home straight. SCARLET PIMPERNEL – Tightened for room at the start. Held up on the home turn. Obliged to alter course approaching the 200m to obtain clear running. VANTAN EXPRESS – Jumped awkwardly. Held up and awkwardly placed on heels approaching the home turn and until approaching the 200m. ALLBERIN – Fractious in the barriers, jumped awkwardly. Raced in restricted racing room approaching the 700m and had to be steady. ROWLETT – Declared a late scratching at 7.44am, trainer T Lambourn was fined the sum of $100 acting under AR181(1)(b). MAGIC STRATAGEMS – Pre-race veterinary examination after being kicked by another runner behind the barriers and was passed to take its place in the field. Tightened for room at the start and checked. EASY RUBY – Wide no cover. HAZ DE BEE – Raced wide throughout. Eased near the 200m to avoid heels. Race 3: TATTERSALL'S MEMBERS Two-Years-Old Plate 1000 metres INVINOVICH – Forced wider over the concluding stages. VICTORY MOMENTS – Began awkwardly. Forced wider approaching the 200m. PRINCE OF MARAKESH – Post race veterinary examination revealed signs of thumps. WHISTLING SPIRIT – Raced wide. Checked from heels approaching the 150m. SNEAKY STARTER – Shifted out under pressure over the concluding stages. PERFECT MISSION – Slow to begin, then steadied when awkwardly placed at heels shortly afterwards. Held up when rounding the home turn. Shifted out abruptly approaching the 200m. SEBRING GIRL – Raced field shy and raced greenly throughout. When obliged to steady from heels when approaching the 200m, became unbalanced and shifted in abruptly. THEGIRLSGOTTHIS – Wide, returned to scales with minor lacerations to off hind fetlock. Raced greenly. Race 4: LSE CONSTRUCTIONS QTIS Three-Year-Old Maiden Plate 1000 metres BOLD RUMBLE – Laid out under pressure in the home straight. ARMANTO – Slow to begin. TAKE ME ON – Raced wide throughout. CRAIGLEA BANDIT – Slow to begin. Raced greenly throughout. LE FORCE - Pre-race veterinary examination and was passed to take its place in the field. Wide no cover. VALAMOUR - Pre-race veterinary examination and was passed to take its place in the field. Race 5: LIEBKE BUILDERS Class 4 Plate 1000 metres ABDICATING – Began awkwardly. Lost near fore plate in the running. Post-race veterinary examination revealed minor laceration to the near fore. ROYAL SHEEN – Slow to begin. Obliged to race in restricted racing room approaching the 700m and had to be steadied. THUNDER MANIA – Heavily bumped on jumping and steadied. Jockey M Du Plessis stated THUNDER MANIA over raced throughout. NICCI TRIX – Laid out under pressure in the home straight. BOOMNOVA – Wide throughout. Race 6: LIVE SERVICES GROUP Fillies & Mares BENCHMARK 68 Handicap 1200 metres Prior to the declaration of correct weight, a protest was lodged N McCall trainer of second placegetter DEJANOVA against the winner REGIMENTAL BAND alleging interference in the home straight. After viewing the patrol footage and considering the evidence provided by both rider’s stewards found that REGIMENTAL BAND shifted in near the 350m and initiated contact with DEJANOVA and continued to shift in and make contact on a further four occasions until the 50m. Stewards therefore ruled that the interference suffered DEJANOVA was suficiant to reverse the neck margin and upheld the objection declaring correct weight on the revised placings 1st DEJANOVA2nd REGIMENTAL BAND3rd MISS TOO FLY4th CARDICE DEJANOVA – Slow to begin. Over raced for a short distance approaching the 700m. Bumped on several occasions in the home straight and forced to shift in. REGIMENTAL BAND – Shifted in under pressure in the home straight contacting DEJANOVA on a number of occasions and forcing that horse inwards. Jockey J Orman was reprimanded for failing to stop riding and straighten SECRET CONQUEST – Shifted in over the concluding stages. SISTA ELENORE – Raced wide without cover throughout. Race 7: BOLD DESIGN KITCHENS Colts, Geldings & Entires BENCHMARK 68 Handicap 1200 metres FORT WAYNE – Over raced approaching the 800m. Awkwardly placed at heels when approaching the home turn when attempting to obtain clear running. THERE YOU ARE - Began awkwardly. STRIKE POINT – Raced wide without cover throughout. TICKLER – Raced wide without cover throughout. KIANDRA GOLD (NZ) – Bumped shortly after the start and lost ground. Over raced and had to be steadied of heels approaching the 900m. Race 8: EDGELINE ROOFING Colts, Geldings & Entires Class 1 Handicap 1400 metres TRIBUTE KING (NZ) – Shifted in approaching the 1100m, contacting the running rail.
