GENERAL
 
Following a stable inspection conducted today by QRIC IIT Stewards, BULLION BOY which is trained by Mr Lindsay Gough and was engaged in Race 7 at the Sunshine Coast Turf Club was declared a late scratching at 11.45am by order of Stewards acting under the provisions of AR254(A)(2). Samples were taken for analysis and Stewards intend to inquire into the matter at a time and date to be fixed. Mr Gough was charged pursuant to AR104 for failing to keep Treatment Records and was fined $200.
 
 
 
Race 1: HAYMANS CALOUNDRA Maiden Handicap 1600 metres
 
Echoes Of My Mind (NZ) – Raced wide early. When asked to comment regarding its performance Jockey B Thornton stated that gelding raced flat and was disappointing. Trainer M Taylor reported   that Echoes Of My Mind would now be sent for a spell.

Beldevile – Began awkwardly.
 
Boom Raider – Began very awkwardly and lost significant ground.
 
Burn The Boats - Restrained from the wide barrier in order to obtain cover.
 
Dotned – Began awkwardly and over raced early. Trainer M Palmer was fined $100 pursuant to LR67 for failing to notify a rider within the prescribed time.
 
Sock'emsid – Began awkwardly.
 
The Love Rocket – Slow to begin.
 
Race 2: HAYMANS WARANA QTIS Three-Year-Old Maiden Handicap 1800 metres
 
Canny Impact – Shifted wider near the 1400m to improve and reached the position outside the leader near the 1200m.
 
Chayse 'N' Tanya – Very slow to begin and lost significant ground. Trainer Les Kelly was advised that a warning would now be placed on the filly regarding its starting manners.
 
Lucky Bean – Raced keenly early. When asked to comment regarding its performance Jockey Sean Cormack reported that the filly travelled well in a favourable position behind the leaders and was momentarily held up rounding the home turn but when placed under pressure in the straight failed to respond to his riding and proved disappointing. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.
 
Shongalonga – Forced very wide near the 1400m when CANNY IMPACT shifted wider to improve then raced wide for the remainder.
 
 
 
Race 3: HAYMANS NAMBOUR Class 4 Handicap 1800 metres
 
Populist – Slow to begin. Near the 1200m when the pace steadied was awkwardly placed on the heels of JETT AUSTIN, shifted wider, allowed to stride forward then raced wide for the remainder.
 
Becandleni – Underwent a post-race veterinary examination after it appeared to be gallop on near the 1200m and was subsequently found to be exhibiting no apparent abnormalities.
 
Accardo – Raced keenly early.
 
Demurral – Slow to begin. Forced wider near the 1200m when POPULIST shifted out when over racing.
 
Jett Austin (NZ) – Raced keenly early.
 
Nube Viajera – Trainer Tenille Ranger advised that it was her intention for the gelding to be ridden further forward. Ridden accordingly. Over raced early when leading.
 
Race 4: HAYMANS MAROOCHYDORE Maiden Handicap 1200 metres
 
Tersane (NZ) – Had difficulty obtaining clear running in the early part of the home straight.
 
Flying Rothe - Buffeted between runners on jumping.
 
Richunclemoneybags – Slow to begin then raced wide throughout.
 
Eureka's Victory – Restrained from the wide barrier to obtain a position.
 
Gotmethinking – Began awkwardly. Raced wide throughout. Unable to secure clear running from the 300m until the finish and could not be fully tested.
 
D'esprit – On jumping was bumped on the hind quarters and became unbalanced.
 
I Am Sumi – Laid out under pressure in the home straight. Apprentice Z Lloyd was advised in similar circumstances to stop riding his mount.
 
Bailey Boo - Raced wide without cover.
 
Atrevida - Restrained from the wide barrier to obtain a position. Momentarily steadied near the 200m when FLYING ROTHE rolled in.
 
Binnalong Belle - Raced wide throughout. Placed in restricted racing room leaving the 200m when COMMIT TO SUCCESS shifted out under pressure and RICHUNCLEMONEYBAGS shifted in and as a result had to be steadied.
 
Commit To Success – Raced wide throughout.
 
A Devil's Chance – Buffeted between runners on jumping.
 
Our Rocketman – Began awkwardly, shifted out bumped heavily with A DEVIL’S CHANCE and became unbalanced.
 
 
 
 
Race 5: HAYMANS NOOSA Class 3 Handicap 1000 metres
 
Camerlengo – Raced wide throughout. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Jockey Tomlinson could offer no explanation for the geldings disappointing performance adding that it did not travel comfortably at any stage. Stable representative for G Heinrich advised that the stable would report back to stewards should anything arise which may have effected its performance.
 
Cotton Fields – Raced wide throughout.
 
All Stars -Placed in restricted racing room near the 600m when being crossed LUCIFER’S LOOT.
 
Phantom Spirit – Bounded at the start, lost ground then bumped with PURPLE DIAMOND. Over raced early then raced wide throughout.
 
Purple Diamond – Began awkwardly, shifted in and bumped with PHANTOM SPIRIT.
 
Uno Amor - Slow to begin.
 
Poupee - Placed in restricted racing room near the 600m when being crossed LUCIFER’S LOOT.
 
Chicadilly – Slow to begin. Placed in restricted racing room near the 650m between SIP IT SLOW and CAMERLENGO which shifted in. Apprentice S Tomlinson was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstance.
 
Sip It Slow – Began awkwardly.
 
Rock On Destiny - Slow to begin.
 
 
Race 6: HAYMANS GYMPIE BENCHMARK 58 Handicap 1600 metres
 
Tribute King (NZ) – Bumped on jumping. Bumped near the 800m. Had difficulty obtaining clear running for a short distance when passing the 100m.
 
No Inuendo - Bumped on jumping.
 
Ready's Girl – Improved onto heels near the 500m and had to be steadied.

Lord Lennox (GER) – Bounded at the start and lost ground. Raced wide.
 
Says Who -Slow to begin.
 
Zoudica (NZ) – Raced keenly early.
 
Enterprise Maximus – Raced wide. Obliged to shift out to avoid heels approaching the 100m.
 
Giveitallali – Began awkwardly. Raced wide.
 
Above Reserve - Bumped on jumping. Raced wide.
 
Danerock – When asked to comment regarding the performance Jockey T Brooker advised that the gelding does race best when able to lead and proved disappointing. Trainer M Mair advised that the gelding would now be sent for a spell. A post-race veterinary examination could find no apparent abnormalities.
 
Expresso Love – Trainer D Bougoure advised that from the wide barrier the mare would be ridden back in the field. Ridden accordingly. Bumped near the 800m. Had difficulty obtaining clear running rounding the home turn.
 
Local Gossip – Steadied near the 1250m. Trainer T Cotsiopoulos when asked to comment on the seemingly improved performance advised that at its most recent start the mare did not appreciate the tighter turning Toowoomba track and also noted that the mare does not travel well which after that run, necessitated a short spell. Ms Cotsiopoulos stated that following that disappointing performance that she expected that today would be its last run but would now reconsider its immediate future. Stewards noted her comments.
 
 
Race 7: HAYMANS MARYBOROUGH Class 1 Plate 1200 metres
 
 
I Am Superior – Slow to begin. Shifted wider passing the 800m then raced wide for the remainder. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
Morgan's Smile – Raced wide.
 
Our Mirage - Over raced passing the 800m when the pace eased. Had difficulty obtaining clear running in the early part of the home straight.
 
She's At Regatta – Over raced passing the 800m when the pace eased.
 
Shnitty – Rider reported his mount laid out in the straight.
 
Earn Out – Slow to begin.
 
 
Race 8: MM COOLUM BENCHMARK 58 Handicap 1400 metres
 
 
Redstone – Held up rounding the home turn until near the 100m.
 
Agent Of Mayhem – Slow to begin.
 
Cool Intelligence – Shifted wider near the 800m then raced wide for the remainder.
 
Burgundy Rules – Raced wide.
 
Kiki Coco – A post -race veterinary examination revealed that the mare had bled from one nostril. Trainer R Pereira was advised that the mare would be required to perform a 1000m gallop in the presence of a steward prior to resuming. Trainer Pereira advised that the mare would now spell.
 
Think Straight -Began awkwardly. Raced wide.
 
Dutch Delight (NZ) – Improved onto heels near the 800m and had to check. Held up between the 300m and 200m.
 
Atlantic Rose – Held up until passing the 300m.
 
Tierra Del Fuego – Held up rounding the home turn and in the early part of the straight.
