SARDEGNA – Slow to begin. Put in an awkward stride approaching the 1600m. Over-raced in the early and middle stages. Lost off hind plate in running. SPICY KING PRAWN – Over-raced in the early and middle stages. B Stewart, rider of SPICY KING PRAWN, was fined $500 under AR 211(a) for returning to scale in excess of ½ kilogram overweight. SPIRAL ARCHITECT (IRE) – Slow to begin. Raced three wide in the early stages before progressing forward to race outside the leader leaving the 1400m. Laid in from the 600m. Following the running of this race the track was downgraded to a Heavy 9 retrospective to Race 1. Race 2: CMBM TOOWOOMBA QTIS Two-Year-Old Fillies Maiden Handicap 1200 metres NOAH 'N' A DEEL – Tightened at the start between WAR TOO ALL which jumped out, and SHOTGUN DIVA which jumped in. Laid in under pressure in the home straight. SHOTGUN DIVA – Jumped in at the start. Raced three wide throughout. WAR TOO ALL – Jumped out at the start. STEP LIVELY – Hung out and raced three wide for the majority of the event. Race 3: CMBM SUNSHINE COAST QTIS Two-Year-Old Colts and Geldings Maiden Handic 1200 metres SWISS EXILE – Bumped at the start. Over-raced in the early stages when being restrained to obtain cover. Approaching the 700m, when continuing to over-race, had to be eased to avoid the heels of ULTIMATE OUTCOME which shifted in when not fully clear. K Wilson-Taylor, rider of ULTIMATE OUTCOME, was reprimanded under AR131(a) for careless riding in this incident. DEALING'S DONE – Raced three wide for the majority. Near the 300m raced in restricted room between ULTIMATE OUTCOME and SWISS EXILE, both of which shifted ground. POCKET FULL – Difficult to load. Trainer S Kendrick was advised the horse would require a further barrier certificate prior to its next race start. Slow to begin. Over-raced in the early stages and was obliged to restrain from heels. OUR DRUMMER – Jumped in at the start and became awkward and bumped SWISS EXILE. BRAMBLE BAY – Slow to begin. Race 4: CMBM BUNDABERG Class 3 Handicap 1000 metresQUEEN SWEEPER – Bumped with BELISTIC MAN at the start. Hung out for the majority of the event. BELISTIC MAN – Bumped with QUEEN SWEEPER at the start.UNLIKELYOCCURRENCE – Slow to begin. SHINAR – On arrival at the barriers the saddle on the horse was adjusted. Race 5: CMBM GLADSTONE QTIS Three-Year-Old BENCHMARK 62 Handicap 1400 metres CRACK OF DOOM – Jumped in at the start and bumped AMORE VELOCE. Raced three wide without cover throughout. Near the 250m laid in and had to steadied away from the heels of AMORE VELOCE. AMORE VELOCE – Bumped at the start. When asked to comment on the performance rider J Cornish stated the horse did not travel comfortably at any stage of the event and was disappointing. A post-race veterinary examination revealed lameness in the near foreleg. Representative for trainer R Heathcote was advised AMORE VELOCE will require a veterinary clearance prior to its next race start. BIRAGUE – Over-raced in the early stages. ILIKEIT ILOVEIT – Raced four wide without cover throughout. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Lost both hind plates in running. IT'S ALL TALK – Held up for clear running in the early stages of the home straight. DA PARTY GAL – Slow to begin. Held up for clear running in the early stages of the home straight. COME CLEAN – Raced three wide with cover throughout. PRINCESS SALLY – As T Brooker was to be overweight, Stewards permitted T Marshall to ride the horse. In view of her excellent record in this regard, T Brooker reprimanded under LR67. Raced three wide with cover throughout. Race 6: CMBM MACKAY Class 1 Plate 1400 metres FIGHTING MAD – Slow to begin. AWE – The start of this event was delayed approximately 2 minutes when the off fore plate was refitted on arrival at the barriers. When asked to comment on the performance rider R Maloney stated the horse raced greenly under pressure in the home straight and he had recommended to connections that blinkers be applied going forward, adding that AWE did not appreciate today’s heavy track conditions. HELL OF A PRINCE – Raced three wide without cover throughout. CONGENIAL MISTRESS – Slow to begin. FORCHE – Over-raced when leading in the middle stages of the event. Race 7: CMBM FACILITY SERVICES OPEN Handicap 1400 metres MR MONEY BAGS – Jumped in at the start and bumped REGAL BANDIT. BENGAL BANDIT – Bumped at the start. TAVIS TOWN (NZ) – Held up for clear running between the 500m and the 200m. Race 8: CMBM TOWNSVILLE BENCHMARK 68 Handicap 1300 metres BROKEN HERO – Jumped out at the start and bumped heavily with WITHOUT THINKING. CHECKERS (NZ) – Raced wide for the majority of the event. DYNAMIC THINKER – Raced three wide in the early stages. WITHOUT THINKING – Bumped heavily at the start. Jumped in at the start. Raced wide with cover for the majority of the event. WILMOT PASS – Jumped in at the start and bumped HE KNOWS. When over-racing in the early stages raced in restricted room near the 1100 metres for some distance to the inside of both CHECKERS and PEACOCK. A Jones, rider of CHECKERS, and J Cornish, rider of PEACOCK, were each advised to exercise greater care in similar circumstances. Held up for clear running for the length of the home straight and went to the line without being fully tested by its rider. DERBARI – Checked at the start and lost ground when tightened between runners. HE KNOWS – Bumped at the start. Steadied from heels near the 800m. Held up for clear running from the entrance to the home straight until leaving the 200m. TAIRUA (NZ) – Slow to begin. Raced in restricted for some distances near the 1100m. Held up for clear running from the 500m until leaving the 300m. KING'S RULE – Jumped out at the start. NEPTUNE'S CHOICE – Slow to begin. Held up for clear running from the 300m and went to line without being fully tested by its rider. KOKOPO KITTY – Jumped in at the start. Raced wide with cover for the majority of the event.
