Trainer C Geran was advised of the provisions of AR79(4) From Eagle Farm 2 October 2022 – Race 7Trainer R Tyrell reported that KAVAK had lacerations to the off-hind leg consistent to being galloped on. Trainer was advised that a veterinary clearance would be required prior to next start. GENERALAs Jockey R Maloney was indisposed, stewards permitted changes as per the race day summary. Race 1: AUTOPACT Maiden Handicap 1200 metres The start of this race was delayed 2 minutes owing to a delay at an interstate venue. Bronze Dragon – Underwent a prerace veterinary examination after taking hold of its rider enroute to the barriers and was cleared to start. Carried wider on the track on entering the home straight by VALLEY OF ROSES which shifted out. Rider reported that his mount failed to respond to his riding and ran to the line in a disappointing manner. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a poor post-race recovery. Big Short – Momentarily held up for clear running on entering the home straight. Virgo Vision – Raced wide throughout the event. Eureka's Victory – Contacted and carried wider from the 600m. Playful Passion – Jumped away awkwardly. Hung out from the 600m. Dolph -Jumped away awkwardly and shifted in abruptly. Hampered shortly after jumping away. Idle Dice – Raced wide throughout the event. Goodscent – Hampered shortly after jumping away. Valley Of Roses – Rider reported that he was disadvantaged throughout the event after his saddle shifted shortly after jumping away when attempting to adjust his saddle after his mount commenced to hang out. Shifted out under pressure over the concluding stages. Trainer G Heinrich was advised that VALLEY OF ROSES would require to trial tractably prior to accepting for a future race start. Over The Falls – Knuckled on jumping. Following the running of this event the track was downgraded to a Soft 6. Race 2: NOOSA RAY WHITE DOLPHINS Maiden Handicap 1200 metres Lord Vinnie – Jumped away awkwardly and shifted out contacting VAN NUYS. Arctic Waltz – Overraced in the early and middle stages of the event. Fasolia – Held up for clear running on entering the home straight. Strategic Success – Hampered on jumping away. Van Nuys – Hampered on jumping away. Alittletiff – Jumped away awkwardly and shifted out abruptly. Held up for clear running on entering the home straight and was unable to be fully tested till approaching the 100m. Dedicated Few – Raced wide throughout the event. Enunciation – Hampered on jumping away. Held up for clear running on entering the home straight to approaching the 100m and was obliged to shift in to improve into clear running. Outback Playboy – Jumped away awkwardly. Overraced in the early and middle stages of the event. Rider reported that even though his mount over raced in the middle stages his mount still travelled well and was of the opinion that his mount was a winning chance on straightening. He added when placed under pressure his mount failed to respond to his riding and proved disappointing in the run to the line. A post race veterinary examination revealed a poor post race recovery. Bonjour Mate – Raced wide throughout the event. Gus The Bus – Overraced in the early and middle stages of the event. Raced wide throughout the event. Following the running of this event the track was downgraded to a Heavy 8.Race 3: CLO STUDIOS Class 5 Handicap 1000 metres Cecil Street Lad – Hampered on jumping away and was slow to begin. Overraced in the middle stages and had to be steadied off heels passing the 600m. Riders whip was accidently dislodged passing the 350m. Global Citizen – Jumped away awkwardly. A post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding at lost both front plates. Maximum Output – Jumped away awkwardly. Crowded for room on entering the home straight when having to be restrained to avoid the heels of IN AWE OF ME which laid out and GLOBAL CITIZEN which shifted in and away from KING OF THE DESERT. King Of The Desert – Jumped away awkwardly. Hung in throughout the event. Le Heros – Late scratching at 1.05pm due to the track downgrade. Deductions applicable to bets placed on winner and the placegetters prior to 1.05pm as following: Win bets KEETA – 8 Cents Place Bets KEETA - 11 Cents Place Bets (For 2nd) CECIL STREET LAD - 8 cents Race 4: JD CONSTRUCTIONS Maiden Handicap 1800 metres Petrillo (NZ) – Carried wider on the track passing the 1600m by SANDGATE ROAD which ran off. Allowed to stride forward to take up a leading position passing the 1200m. Struan Lad – Overraced in the early and middle stages of the event. Passing the 300m was obliged to steady when having to avoid the heels of the weakening DESTINATION SYDNEY. Sandgate Road – Overraced in the early stages and ran wider on the track when making the first turn passing the 1600m. Raced wide throughout the event. Zeebling – Overraced in the early and middle stages of the event. Approaching the 1200m improved onto heels and had to be restrained. Destination Sydney – Overraced in the early and middle stages of the event. Raced wide throughout the event. Rabbit Stu – Overraced in the early and middle stages of the event. Raced wide throughout the event. Enolaba – Trainer advised of a potential change of tactics to attempt to settle forward. Ridden accordingly. Race 5: COASTLINE BMW Class 2 Handicap 1800 metres Diasonic – Held up for clear running on entering the home straight.Master Marko (NZ) – Jockey M Cahill was reprimanded under the provisions of AR132(7)(a)(ii) for using his whip on six occasions prior to 100m. Yangari – Laid in when placed under pressure in the home straight. Race 6: ROBILLIARD BUILDING & DESIGN BENCHMARK 68 Handicap1200 metres The General (NZ) – Jumped away awkwardly. Rider reported that his mount travelled well in the early stages but when asked for an effort on straightening failed to respond and was disappointing. Syd's Footprints – Passing the 800m was obliged to steady to avoid the heels of OCEAN EMPEROR, which shifted in. Jockey B Thompson, rider of OCEAN EMPEROR, was advised to take greater care when shifting ground in future. Raced wide throughout the event. A post race veterinary examination revealed a minor laceration to the near fore leg. Poetic Choice – Brushed the running rail passing the 600m. Ocean Emperor – Raced wide throughout the event. Shadow Of Time – Overraced in the early and middle stages of the event. Star Gamble – Jumped away awkwardly. Looks Like (NZ) – Late scratching at 1.05pm due to the track downgrade. Valley Of Dreams – Held up for clear running passing the 300m. Hard Reyva – Had difficulty obtaining clear running on entering the home straight. Race 7: SUM YUNG GUYS Class 1 Handicap 1200 metres Script Writer – Raced wide throughout the event. The Stifmeister – Slow to begin. Not Another – Laid out when placed under pressure in the home straight. Fighting Mad – Late scratching at 1.07pm due to the track downgrade. Forbidden One (NZ) – Overraced in the early and middle stages of the event. Beyond The Sea – Raced wide throughout the event. Helsun – Raced wide throughout the event. A post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the off hind leg. Trainer D Markey was advised a veterinary clearance prior to next start. Race 8: FINCIERGE NOOSA CUP BENCHMARK 80 Handicap 1400 metres Way Beyond – Slow to begin. Irish Homie (IRE) – Raced wide throughout the event. Held up for clear running on entering the home straight until approaching the 150m, before able to improve into a narrow run between HARLEQUIN FIELD and WAY BEYOND. Raced in restricted room until inside the 100m. Laid in when placed under pressure in the home straight. Awesome Lad – Late scratching at 1.37pm due to the track downgrade. Lemon Duchess – Jumped away awkwardly. Race 9: NOOSA NATURAL SPARKLING WATER RATINGS BAND 0 - 58 Handicap 1400 metres Correct weight was delayed to allow Jockey B Loy rider of FEIRME PRINCE and stable representative V Johnson to view the stewards patrol films after making application for FEIRME PRINCE to be declared a non-runner. After viewing the films and hearing submissions, stewards were of the opinion, that as the start was affected FEIRME PRINCE commenced to rear and failed to jump with the field. Therefore, steward ruled that other than for its barrier manners FEIRME PRINCE had been afforded a fair start and as such the gelding was declared a runner. Feirme Prince – Reared as the start was affected and lost significant ground before taking no competitive part in the event. Above The Lot – Forced wider on the track passing the 400m. Agent Of Mayhem – Late scratching at 1.35pm due to the track downgrade. Pernell – Held up for clear running on entering the home straight. Chapelis – Slow to begin. Mishani Esprit – Laid in when placed under pressure in the home straight. Jetset Annie – A post race veterinary examination revealed the mare had bled from both nostrils on the first occasions. Trainer D Murphy was advised of the provisions of AR79(4). Squeeze Dis – Raced wide throughout the event. Danerock – A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormalities. Trainers representative B Mair was advised a warning would be placed on the gelding for being uncometitive. Mrs Mair advised that it is the intention of the stable to remove the blinkers and step DANEROCK up in distance. Why Shy – Change of tactics to attempt to settle further back in the field if circumstances permit. Settled outside the lead. Raced wide throughout the event.
