Race 1: WIMMERS PREMIUM SOFT DRINKS QTIS THREE-YEAR-OLD BENCHMARK 65 HANDICAP 1000 Metres
 
SHOT OF WHISKEY (Nz) – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after arriving late on course due to transport difficulties. Stewards acceded a request from co-trainer Mr S. O’Dea to scratch the gelding and SHOT OF WHISKEY was declared a late scratching at 4.59pm.
 
DOYLE - Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after arriving late on course due to transport difficulties and was cleared to start. Began awkwardly, shifted out and bumped REVITUP CHARLIE. Raced greenly when under pressure in the home straight. Shifted out and bumped OBEROI PRINCESS approaching the 100m.
 
OBEROI PRINCESS - Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination due to transport difficulties and was cleared to start. Bumped by DOYLE approaching the 100m.
 
ONYABIKE CHARLIE – Raced wide throughout.
 
REVITUP CHARLIE – Began awkwardly and bumped shortly after the start. Raced keenly during the middle stages.
 
 
 
Race 2: 91.1 HOT FM OPEN HANDICAP 1000 Metres
 
EASY SINGLE - Began awkwardly.
 
KINGSTON'S HERE - Began awkwardly. Held up for clear running passing the 500m. After passing the 400m, was inconvenienced and obliged to steer away from the heels of KAVAK, which was taken outwards by LIME SODA, which was directed out to obtain clear running. Jockey A. Morgan, rider of LIME SODA, was reprimanded pursuant to AR131(a) for this incident.
 
OVIDIUS - Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after arriving late on course due to transport difficulties and was cleared to start. Reared on jumping and lost ground.
 
KAVAK - Raced wide throughout.
 
YOU'LL BE MIST - Reared on jumping and lost ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to be displaying clinical signs of the thumps.
 
 
Race 3: CHAPS MENSWEAR BENCHMARK 62 HANDICAP 1000 Metres
 
BOODUA ROMANCE - Jockey M. Murphy was fined $300 pursuant to AR132(5) in that he used his whip fifteen times in totality. 
 
DON'T DOUBT KATIE - Began awkwardly and lost ground.
 
GOLLY HUTT – Slow to begin.
 
ALERT STATE – Began awkwardly and shifted out.
 
RUSTIC BOOM – Began awkwardly and lost ground.
 
STEEL MY THUNDER – Knuckled on jumping and shifted out.
 
 
Race 4: CMBM FACILITY SERVICES PTY LTD QTIS THREE-YEAR-OLD MAIDEN PLATE 1000 Metres
 
BECAMO – Raced wide throughout.
 
KING OF THE JUNGLE – Began awkwardly and bumped BOOGA RAY
 
BRIGHT BLONDE – Began awkwardly and bumped CERARED. Raced wide throughout.
 
CERARED – Raced wide throughout.
 
GUCHI DIVA – Raced wide throughout.
 
HEAVENLY CHOICES – Over raced in the early stages when being restrained to obtain cover. Held up for clear running in the early stages of the home straight. Obliged to alter course approaching the 100m to obtain clear running.
 
HOLY CROWN – Began awkwardly.
 
BOOM BOOM BELLA – Jockey B. Thompson reported on returning to scale that after travelling well throughout the event, however the filly proved disappointing when pressured rounding the home turn and failed to respond to his riding in the home straight.
 
BOOGA RAY – Began awkwardly, bumped by KING OF THE JUNGLE and lost ground.
 
 
Race 5: COASTLINE BMW BENCHMARK 62 HANDICAP 1600 Metres
 
BUON ACQUISTO (NZ) – Over raced when being restrained in the early stages when attempting to obtain cover. Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
GRAND SHANGHAI – When leaving the 700m, was steadied when awkwardly placed between THE LOVE ROCKET which shifted out and LEAN IN which shifted in slightly. Jockey S. Cormack reported that in this incident, he believed his mount lost significant ground due to being galloped on from behind. Passing the 600m, whilst weakening, was obliged to race in restricted room.
 
NORTHERN PRIDE – Slow to begin.
 
MOOLOOLABA (NZ) – Inconvenienced when tightened near the 1400m. Over raced during the early and middle stages. 
 
DECEMBER DIAMOND – Steadied near the 1400m when tightened for room to the inside of MIDNIGHT RAMBLER which shifted in. Apprentice J. Williams, rider of MIDNIGHT RAMBLER, was reprimanded pursuant to AR131(a) for shifting ground when not fully clear.
 
THE LOVE ROCKET – Laid in under pressure over the final 100m.
 
LEAN IN – Forced to race wide from the 700m.
 
 
 
Race 6: TAB 100'S & 1000'S CLASS 1 PLATE 1000 Metres
 
The start of this race was delayed by approximately 4 minutes when FASTHEARTBEAT refused to load resulting in its late scratching, and a number of other runners were also difficult to load.
 
HURTS SO GOOD – Inconvenienced approaching the 900m and steadied. After passing the 600m improved onto heels and had to be steadied, then held up for clear running rounding the home turn until the approaching 300m and was then inclined to lay in under pressure from that point onwards.
 
SIR CARTER – Raced wide throughout.
 
THELWELL – Raced wide throughout.
 
TRIBECA STAR – Leaving the 800m, steadied when obliged to race in restricted room between COODARADY, which over-raced and shifted out slightly and THELWELL which shifted in.
 
BOLD AND SMOOTH – Raced wide throughout.
 
HEROIC MISS – Trainer C. Munce was fined $100 pursuant to LR67(1) for the late declaration of rider.
 
OCEAN ENDEAVOUR – Bumped on jumping.
 
VERGE – Laid in under pressure from the 400m.
 
BORRELLI – Began awkwardly and bumped VERGE.
 
FASTHEARTBEAT – Declared a late scratching at 8.02pm when the gelding refused to load. Prior to the declaration of correct weight, Stewards ordered that all bets on FASTHEARTBEAT be refunded with the following deductions to apply:
1st  THELWELL 3c win, 5c place
2nd TRIBECA STAR 3c place
3rd HEROIC MISS 6c place
 
Trainer Mr S. Morrisey was advised that FASTHEARTBEAT will be required to barrier trial to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to racing again.
 
COODARADY – Over-raced passing the 800m.
 
ANNAKURI – Raced wide throughout. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
 
 
Race 7: CREATIVE STONE CLASS 1 HANDICAP         1400 Metres
 
The start of this race was delayed approximately 4 minutes after the delay in race 6.
 
CAPTAIN HOOK (NZ) – Bumped on jumping with MASTER DRUMMER. Raced keenly during the middle stages.
 
GOLDEELUCK – Restrained from heels near the 600m.
 
RALLY – Raced wide for the majority.
 
KWIK AZ HELL – Apprentice B. Wheeler reported that in the early stages he elected to restrain and allow Huxtable to cross to the lead and his mount over raced when being restrained and continued to do so in the middle stages. He added that with the benefit of hindsight, the mare would have been better served being permitted to stride forward and maintain the lead. 
 
MASTER DRUMER – Bumped with CAPTAIN HOOK on jumping.
 
 
Race 8: HIGGINS COATINGS PTY LTD QTIS THREE-YEAR-OLD MAIDEN PLATE        1400 Metres
 
ENCUBIERTO – Over-raced during the early stages.
 
DIBBA DOBBA – After being restrained to allow IMPENDING ROSE to cross near the 1200m commenced to overrace before shifting out to a three wide position near the 1000m and was then permitted to stride forward to a position outside the lead passing the 800m.
 
JUST A HERO – Slow to begin. Steadied when approaching the 400m after being unable to obtain clear running when attempting to secure a position where there was insufficient room.
 
NIC'S DREAM – Began awkwardly and lost ground.
 
ZONTO WILBERFORCE – Jockey T. Marshall reported that the filly raced greenly throughout.
