J Huxtable was advised he would require a medical clearance prior to his next race ride. Due to the Naracoorte race meeting being added to today’s race schedule, starting times were amended as follows:Race 1: 12:54pmRace 2: 1:29pmRace 3: 2:04pmRace 4: 2:40pmRace 5: 3:15pmRace 6: 3:55pmRace 7: 4:30pmRace 8: 5:07pm Race 1: ROTARY CLUBS OF CABOOLTURE AND BRIBIE ISLAND QTIS Two-Year-Old Maiden 1000 metres HEAD HONCHO – Began awkwardly. When racing greenly commenced to hang out passing the 700m and continued to do so for the remainder of the event. Inconvenienced when taken wider passing the 600m when GOLD CITY hung out. Raced wide for the majority of the event. Trainer R Tyrell was advised a warning would be placed on the racing manners of HEAD HONCHO. Mr Tyrell indicated advised he would now consider adding blinkers to the approved gear of HEAD HONCHO. INVADING JILLY – Shifted out under pressure in the home straight. MYTHBUSTA – Laid out under pressure in the home straight placing its rider at a disadvantage. Trainer R Tyrell was advised a warning would be placed on the racing manners on MYTHBUSTA. Mr Tyrell indicated he would now consider adding blinkers to the approved gear of MYTHBUSTA. DON’TLEAVEMENOW – Over-raced and steadied from heels near the 800m. ROCKRATA – Raced wide for the majority of the event. GOLD CITY – Jumped out at the start and bumped MISHANI SUNSET. Laid out passing the 600m inconveniencing HEAD HONCHO. Raced wide for the majority of the event. MISHANI SUNSET – After being slow to begin was bumped a short distance later when MISHANI SUNSET jumped out. Race 2: DARWALLA GROUP BENCHMARK 68 Handicap 2200 metres Prior to the declaration of correct weight L White, trainer of second placegetter LEATHER JACKET LEW, viewed the patrol footage in the home straight before taking the matter no further. ZOOMURUDI – Laid in under pressure in the home straight. SOOBPURB DANCER – Slow to begin. R Dolan, rider of SOOPURB DANCER, was reprimanded under AR132(7)(a)(ii) for use of the whip on 6 occasions prior to the 100m, one more than permitted. Race 3: ROTARY CLUB OF BRISBANE AIRPORT BENCHMARK 65 Handicap 1600 metres KUZCO LAD – Change of tactics, from the wide barrier to be ridden with cover if circumstances permit. After beginning well and being caught wide, was permitted to stride forward and race outside the leader from the 1200m. CONTRITION – Slow to begin. Near the 1400m, when over-racing, obliged to steady from the heels of MERSEYSIDE. M Du Plessis, rider of CONTRITION, was reprimanded under AR132(7)(a)(ii) for use of the whip on 6 occasions prior to the 100m, one more than permitted. MERSEYSIDE – When asked to comment on the performance rider E Lang advised the horse travelled comfortably during the event however when placed under pressure in the home straight weakened over the concluding stages, adding that MERSEYSIDE may not have run out a strong 1600m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the horse to be suffering from heat stress. TAMBOURINE MAN – Slow to begin. BETTER LAD – Raced wide for the majority of the event. SUBSTANCE – Laid in under pressure in the home straight. Race 4: ROTARY AUSTRALIA REPURPOSING EQUIPMENT RATINGS BAND 0 - 58 Handicap 1800 metres The start of this event was delayed as a result of LIGHT VISION undergoing a veterinary examination and requiring resaddling after being loaded in the barriers. BRAVE BOY – Slow to begin.After racing in a rearward position throughout the event weakened noticeably in the home straight.A post-race veterinary examination revealed lameness in the off foreleg. Trainer C Zintilis was advised the horse would require a veterinary clearance prior to its next race start. CAPITEEL – Raced wide without cover for the majority of the event. CAPTAIN UNDERPANTZ – Slow to begin. When asked to comment on the apparent improved performance, Trainer S Wise advised at the horse’s most recent start at SCTC meeting on 1st October, CAPTAIN UNDERPANTZ was caught wide for the majority of the event and was also held up for clear running between the 250m and 100m. Stewards noted the explanation. LUCAMOUR – Raced wide with cover for the majority of the event.Weakened in the home straight.A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. NIGHT VISION – Fractious after being loaded into the barriers, was removed, underwent a veterinary examination, and was cleared to start. The saddle on the horse required a readjustment as a result. CASSOWARY – The saddle on the horse was adjusted on arrival at the barriers. EARN OUT – Laid in under pressure between the 350m and 200m. Race 5: ROTARY CLUBS OF NORTH BRISBANE Maiden Handicap 1200 metres MISTER HEMSWORTH – Jumped in at the start. SHAMUSON – Slow to begin. Shifted out abruptly when struck with the whip passing the 300m. ALL ABOUT LEWIS – Jumped out at the start. Improved onto heels near the 700m and obliged to be restrained and continued to be held up until approaching the 400m. ARDERN – Crowded between runners on jumping and lost ground. Shifted out near the 700m and bumped OWN TOMORROW and continued to bump with that runner until passing the 500m. ANTONITO – Raced keenly in the early stages of the event when being restrained to obtain cover and when continuing to over-race past the 800m, became awkward in its action and became unbalanced when resenting being restrained from heels. Laid in for a short distance passing the 400m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the horse to be suffering from heat stress. ASHILLA – Began awkwardly. COURT WHISPERS – Following his ride in this event J Huxtable was examined by the Club doctor and stood down from his remaining rides. OWN TOMORROW – Forced wider passing the 700m when ARDERN shifted out, was then bumped on a number of occasions until leaving the 500m. MIDNIGHT SEAS – From the wide barrier was restrained shortly after the start to a rearward position closer to the rails. Race 6: BLACK & WHITE CHARCOAL QTIS Three-Year-Old Maiden Handicap 1200 metres The start of this race was delayed as the horse’s arrived late to the barriers due to a miscommunication with the altered start time for this event. Correct weight was delayed allowing T Brooker, rider of 4th placegetter SUITE SECRET to view the patrol footage over the concluding stages before electing to take the matter no further. NOTORIOUS OUTLAW – Raced wide without cover for the majority of the event. Laid in under pressure whilst weakening in the home straight. LION'S PRIDE – Laid in under pressure over final 100m. PROCYON MISS – Held up approaching the home turn. SONG SUNG BLUE – Began awkwardly and lost ground. SUITE SECRET – Raced in restricted room approaching the winning post and was unable to be fully tested after having to steady when LION’S PRIDE shifted in under pressure. VIDEO VIXEN – Raced wide with cover for the majority of the event. TEQUILA STEALER – Began awkwardly. Over-raced in the early stages of the event when being restrained to obtain cover. Laid in under pressure in the home straight. Race 7: MARTIN JONKERS MOTORS BENCHMARK 65 Handicap 1300 metres AIR MARSHAL – Trainer R Beaton was fined $100 under LR67(1) for the late declaration of rider on AIR MARSHALL.Over-raced in the early stages. Laid in under pressure in the home straight. Raced wide with cover for the majority of the event. FIGHTING IDOL – Crowded between runners at the start. MONEY MAN – Jumped out at the start. Held up for clear running between the 600m and early stages of the home straight. SIZZLING GAL – Jumped in at the start. TRAITORS' GATE – Raced wide without cover for the majority of the event. CADERAS – Crowded between runners at the start. Race 8: TERRY LUCAS REAL ESTATE Class 1 Handicap 1000 metres NOTHING SILLY – Slow to begin. Laid out under pressure from the 600m. MARCH AS ONE – Raced wide for the majority of the event. Leaving the 300m bumped on the hindquarters and became unbalanced. OCEAN ENDEAVOUR – Over-raced in the middle stages. ARTIE PANTZ – Laid in under pressure in the home straight and as a result near the 100m was obliged to alter course to avoid heelst. Raced wide for the majority of the event. SCREAM QUEEN – Trainer P Burns was reprimanded under AR206 for presenting the horse to the enclosure with buckled reins. Raced wide for the majority of the event. OUTWEIGHED – The breastplate on the horse broke and was replaced on arrival at the barriers. Rider S Cormack reported the saddle on the horse shifted back during the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed OUTWEIGHED to be displaying symptoms of heat stress. D'ESPRIT – Leaving the 300m laid out and bumped MARCH AS ONE.
