Race 3: NICK & GERRY CLATWORTHY QTIS THREE-YEAR-OLD MAIDEN PLATE 1800 Metres Prior to the declaration of correct weight, J. Williams, rider of second placegetter CYPHER PRINCE lodged a protest alleging interference approaching the 700m against first placegetter, PARIS ART, ridden by K. Wilson-Taylor. After considering the evidence from all parties and viewing the race footage, Stewards determined that whilst there was interference causing CYPHER PRINCE to blunder and lose ground when approaching the 700, when considering the margin of 1 ½ lengths, and the proximity of the incident from the finish of the race, Stewards could not be satisfied that CYPHER PRINCE would have beaten PARIS ART had the interference not occurred and declared correct weight on the judge’s placings. CYPHER PRINCE – Clipped heels and blundered near the 700m.
