Race 1: NDSIP HOUSING MANAGEMENT QTIS TWO-YEAR-OLD MAIDEN PLATE  1000 M
 
BARNACUS – Began awkwardly.
 
MISHANI REACTOR – Over raced in the early and middle stages.
 
STEP ALONG – Jockey M. Rodd was fined $400 pursuant to AR132(7)(a)(ii) for using the whip on 7 occasions prior to the 100m, 2 more than permitted.
 
Race 2: SUNSHINE COAST FALCONS QTIS THREE-YEAR-OLD MAIDEN PLATE 1000 M
 
CRYPTO KING – Apprentice S. Willis was fined $300 pursuant to AR132(7)(a)(ii) for using the whip on 6 occasions prior to the 100m, 1 more than permitted.
 
DESERT GRIT – Began awkwardly and shifted out. Over raced in the middle stages.
 
GYPSY POWER – Over raced in the middle stages.
 
ELAEA – Tightened for room on jumping and lost ground.
 
FLY FIFER – Tightened for room on jumping and lost ground.
 
MISHANI TEMPTATION – Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
TORQUE ABOUT MAGIC – Raced wide without cover throughout. Jockey A. Jones was fined $300 pursuant to AR132(7)(a)(ii) for using the whip on 6 occasions prior to the 100m, 1 more than permitted.
 
WIFE IS RIGHT – Began awkwardly. Raced greenly and laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
Race 3: THOMPSONS SUSTAINABLE HOMES FILLIES AND MARES MAIDEN PLATE  1200 M
 
No racing incidents.
 
Race 4: ORIGINAL FOREST GLEN BUTCHERY BENCHMARK 62 HANDICAP 1600 M
 
A BIG CHANCE – When attempting to shift out near the 400m, bumped with ZATTASTAR. Apprentice C. Waddell reported with the heavy weight impost, the gelding ran below expectations and may have come to the end of its preparation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.
 
ZATTASTAR – Slow to begin. Bumped near the 400m. Jockey J. Bayliss was fined $500 pursuant to AR132(7)(a)(ii) for using the whip on 7 occasions prior to the 100m, 2 more than permitted.
 
Race 5: COAST STORE OPEN HANDICAP   1200 M
 
ROYAL EXIT – Near the 700m, was tightened for room and bumped on the hindquarters. Jockey K. Wilson-Taylor reported he had to make use of the gelding in the early and middle stages and as a result, the gelding failed to run on as expected. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.  
 
DARE TO SHARE – Tightened for room near the 700m.
 
IRING – Slow to begin.
 
CRACKER ESSGEE – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination on arrival at the barriers, which found a small abrasion to the off-fore coronet and was passed fit to race. Near the 700m, brushed the rail when tightened by DARE TO SHARE, which in turn received tightening from ROYAL EXIT, which was racing tight to the inside of ZINGALONG (A. Jones). Jockey A. Jones was severely reprimanded and told this type of riding would not be condoned.
 
Race 6: IN CARE CENTRAL BENCHMARK 65 HANDICAP 1000 M
 
KING OF WANCHAI – Raced wide throughout. Inconvenienced near the 500m and carried wider when SILLY SALMON was taken out by OUR ROCKETMAN, which was taken out by A LOT OF BOOTY, which shifted out. Apprentice J. Franklin reported the gelding was not suited to the heavy track conditions. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.
 
DIVINE OKAY – In the early stages, raced with its head up.
 
SILLY SALMON – Slow to begin. Raced wide throughout. Inconvenienced near the 500m and taken wider.
 
A LOT OF BOOTY – Disappointed for a run near the 100m, steadied and shift out to secure clear running.
 
OUR ROCKETMAN – Bumped on jumping. Carried wider near the 500m.
 
SHAJAEA – Began awkwardly and bumped with OUR ROCKETMAN.
 
Race 7:AUSTRAL INSULATION BRISBANE COLTS, GELDINGS AND ENTIRES MAIDEN PLATE  1200 M
 
DEFERENTIAL – Over raced in the early and middle stages. Cast its off-fore plate in running.
 
LOVEZELADYS – Jockey M. Hellyer reported with the blinkers back on today, he was asked to be a bit more forward, which he was able to do, however; as he was caught wide, he was then obliged to continue riding and take the lead near the 800m. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
BUTE MOVES – Raced wide throughout.
 
FAST AS STEEL – Began awkwardly and shifted in. Over raced in the middle stages.
 
PINKUS – Tightened for room on jumping and lost ground.
 
Race 8:WIDEWOOD TRANSPORT BENCHMARK 85 HANDICAP   1000 M
 
MISHANI SNIPER – Began awkwardly. Approaching the 100m, momentarily steadied and shifted to the outside of HAKKAI MARU, which shifted in abruptly. Approaching the 50m, steadied when HAKKAI MARU shifted out after being corrected.
 
MAXIMUM OUTPUT – Raced wide throughout.
 
SIR WARWICK – Raced wide throughout.
 
KAVAK – Passing the 500m, obliged to race in restricted room between MAXIMUM OUTPUT and KOOLED.
 
KOOLED – Passing the 500m, obliged to race in restricted room between KAVAK and SUPERARE (A. Jones), which shifted out. Jockey A. Jones was reprimanded.
 
OUTWEIGHED – Began awkwardly.
 
HAKKAI MARU – Raced wide throughout.
 
Race 9:BLUEBLOOD THOROUGHBREDS BM62 HANDICAP          1400 M
 
DUE DILIGENCE – Held up for a run from on straightening until near the 250m.
 
MILIARENSE – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination on arrival at the barriers after contacting the gate leaving the enclosure and was passed fit to race. Near the 1250m bumped by IVANOV.
 
SISTA ELENORE – As apprentice J. Williams was unavailable, he was replaced by apprentice C. Graham. (Misunderstanding). Slow to begin.
 
IVANOV – Bumped with MILIARENSE near the 1250m. Momentarily got its head up whilst being restrained passing the 1200m. Raced wide without cover from the 1000m. On several occasions on straightening, bumped with ONE IN ALL. When under pressure in the home straight, laid in.
 
ONE IN ALL – Jockey J. Bayliss reported from the wide gate, he had to make use of the gelding and after reaching the lead, raced keenly, and failed to finish the race off as a consequence. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a slow post-race recovery.
 
HATTUSA – On several occasions on straightening, bumped with IVANOV.
 
SARODEC – Slow to begin.
 
Race 10:ACCESS INSULATION SUNSHINE COAST QTIS THREE-YEAR-OLD MAIDEN HANDICAP        1400 M
 
BROADWAY SPIRIT – Reared up & then sat down in the barriers, was removed, underwent a veterinary examination and passed fit to race. Slow to begin.
 
GRAND TORINO (NZ) – Slow to begin.
 
RUN AGROUND – Jockey R. Maloney reported the gelding, which was having its first race start, would take benefit from the run.
 
BOLD ROUGE – Jockey J. Byrne was reprimanded pursuant to AR132(7)(a)(ii) for using the whip on 7 occasions prior to the 100m, 2 more than permitted.
