Orman +0.5kgRace 5. M. Rodd +0.5kg As jockeys R. Maloney, D. Boutet and apprentice C. Waddell were indisposed, replacements were made as per the Raceday Summary. Race 1: COASTAL LUXE HOMES QTIS THREE-YEAR-OLD MAIDEN PLATE 1600 Metres Prior to the declaration of correct weight, Stewards considered an objection lodged by jockey K. Wilson-Taylor, rider of third placed RASHFORD, against the winner ROCK YA, ridden by A. Thompson, alleging interference over the final 200m. After considering the evidence it was established that at a point near the 200m ROCK YA shifted in and initiated contact with RASHFORD. Furthermore, contact was again established when RASHFORD shifted out over the concluding stages. Stewards were not satisfied that the interference caused to RASHFORD when ROCK YA shifted in was sufficient to alter the placings given the margin between the two horses at the finish of the event and therefore dismissed the protest declaring correct weight on the judge’s semaphored numbers.
