GENERAL
 
Apprentice E. Lang pleaded guilty to a charge under AR 218(4)(b) in that she was found in possession of her mobile phone whilst present in the female jockey’s room following the commencement of the race-meeting. Apprentice Lang was fined the sum of $300. In assessing penalty, Stewards considered her guilty plea and her record in relation to the rule. Apprentice Lang was advised of her appeal rights.
 
 
Race 1: LANDSBOROUGH PUB QTIS TWO-YEAR-OLD FILLIES MAIDEN PLATE     1000 M
 
ACCELAR – Raced greenly approaching the 700m.
 
CASTELVETRANO – Carried outwards by ACCELAR approaching the 700m and bumped RESOLUTE LADY. Laid out under pressure in the home straight.
 
HEY CHARDONNAY – Over-raced in the middles stages when racing in restricted room.
 
MISS PALLADIUM – Slow to begin.
 
RESOLUTE LADY – Bumped approaching the 700m.
 
RIVELLY – Over-raced in the middles stages when racing in restricted room. Steadied from heels approaching the 400m.
 
GAGNANTE ENCHERE – Inconvenienced leaving the 700m. Raced wide throughout.
 
 
Race 2: PFD FOODSERVICES QTIS TWO-YEAR-OLD COLTS AND GELDINGS MAIDEN PLATE         1000 M
 
ANDERSEN – Bump at the start and taken inwards by CONCESSION. A post-race veterinary examination revealed minor lacerations to the right hind leg.
 
CONCESSION – Began awkwardly, shifted inward and bumped ANDERSEN. Whilst weakening near the 200m, had to be eased when PEACE CENTRE shifted out to improve.
 
HELL MARCH – Cast its off fore plate.
 
LOWER THE BOOM – Bumped heavily shortly after the start and became unbalanced. Raced in restricted room approaching the 900m.
 
PEACE CENTRE – Steadied from heels approaching the 600m when the pace of the race slackened.
 
DEPUTIZE - Raced in restricted room approaching the 900m and had to be steadied. Forced wider approaching the 600m when SIDLED shifted out to improve. Inconvenienced approaching the 500m when ANDERSEN shifted out to improve obliging SIDLED to shift wider.
 
SIDLED – Carried wider approaching the 500m when ANDERSEN shifted out to improve.
 
Race 3: COTTON TREE STEAKS QTIS THREE-YEAR-OLD MAIDEN PLATE 1000 M
 
OPTIMUS MAXIMUS – Began awkwardly.
 
TONATIUH – Steadied from the heels of BRING ME SAKI at the 900m. Again steadied from the heels of BRING ME SAKI approaching the 700m when that runner lost ground after contacting the running rail.
 
DASHING HOPE – Held up for clear running from the home turn until leaving the 200m. Raced in restricted room passing the 100m.
 
ISLE ORNSAY – Held up for clear running from the home turn until leaving the 200m.
 
BRING ME SAKI – Slow to begin. Steadied at the 900m when racing in restricted room. Raced greenly approaching the 700m, shifted in and brushed the running rail and became unbalanced. Trainer D. Ward was advised a warning would be placed on the gelding’s racing manners.
 
FLY FIFER – Cast its near fore plate.
 
Race 4: PFD FOODSERVICES BENCHMARK 65 HANDICAP         1000 M
 
CARDONE – Held up for clear running from the home turn until having to be steadied near the 200m when racing in restricted room before shifting out to secure clear running.
 
ARTIE PANTZ – Reared at the start and lost significant ground. checked approaching the 100m when attempting to secure a run where there was insufficient room to the inside MISTER MONARO.
 
READY TO BOOM – Raced in restricted room and over-raced in the middle stages.
 
AIRSTRIKE – Raced wide throughout.
 
WHAT A SHAM (NZ) – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after being kicked behind the barriers by another runner and was cleared to start. Raced wide throughout.
 
KERNEL BOOM – Began awkwardly and lost ground. Held up for the majority of the home straight and was not able to be fully tested.
 
 
Race 5: LANDSBOROUGH PUB BENCHMARK 65 HANDICAP         1800 M
 
GENTILESCHI – Momentarily inconvenienced leaving the 1200m. Rider K. Wilson-Taylor advised that he was disappointed with the finishing effort of the filly. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the filly to have a laceration to the off foreleg and was subsequently treated by the on course veterinary official.
 
MOTAMAYIZ (GB) – Raced wide throughout. Gave ground from the 600m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.
 
TAMBOURINE MAN – Laid in leaving the 600m until approaching the 500m.
 
APERITIVO (NZ) – Raced in restricted room leaving the 600m when TAMBOURINE MAN laid in.
 
PRINCETON AWARD – Held up rounding the home turn.
 
SIMPLY REFUSE – Slow to begin. Held up for clear running from the home turn to approaching the 250m.
 
SHOWDRA – Had to be steadied leaving the 1200m when awkwardly placed after improving  onto heels. Raced wide with cover throughout.
 
SEERESS – Raced wide without cover throughout. Gave ground from the 600m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a slow recovery.
 
 
Race 6: THANK YOU BILL WENDT MAIDEN PLATE         1200 M
 
BINGHAMTON – Shifted out under pressure leaving the 150m.
 
GOING DUTCH – Raced wide throughout. Laid out under pressure in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.
 
VERMILION KIRIN – Held up for clear running from the home turn until approaching the 200m.
 
SUNCHELLE – Slow to begin.
 
ROCK LOBSTER – Tightened for room leaving the 1100m and was steadied.
 
OCEAN HONOUR – Slow to begin. Awkwardly placed at heels and became unbalanced rounding the home turn.
 
RELEASE LE MISSILE – Shifted in and brushed the rail approaching the 700m.
 
 
Race 7: LANDSBOROUGH PUB BENCHMARK 70 HANDICAP         1400 M
 
MISHANI SPARTAN – Slow to begin. Shifted out when bumped by IOANE leaving the 200m and as a result then bumped CRYPTO CURRENCY.
 
HANG FIVE – Raced wide throughout. Rider J. Guthmann-Chester advised that the gelding did not appreciate the soft track conditions. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.
 
SIZZLING GAL – Steadied from the heels of HALF CROWN leaving the 1200m.
 
HALF CROWN – Slow to begin.
 
HOUSTON ROCKET – Slow to begin. Held up rounding the home turn.
 
BRAVE MASO – Laid out for the majority of the event, particularly when placed under pressure in the home straight.
 
IOANE (NZ) – After being held up in the early stages of the home straight, shifted out under pressure near the 200m and made contacted with MISHANI SPARTAN.
 
CRYPTO CURRENCY – Bumped leaving the 200m.
 
Race 8: COTTON TREE STEAKS CLASS 1 HANDICAP         1200 M
 
RICH AGAIN – Improved onto heels approaching the 500m and had to be steadied. Held up rounding the home turn until approaching the 100m.

WHISKEY AND BEER – Had to be checked after improving onto heels approaching the 100m and was unable to be fully tested for the remainder of the event.
 
GALACTIC LEGEND – Held up rounding the home turn until leaving the 300m.
 
BOOMING LAD – Held up rounding the home turn.
 
COURT WHISPERS – Raced wide throughout.
 
FLEUR DE VIE – Over-raced for a short distance leaving the 800m.
 
CROWN GUINEA – Slow to begin.
