Race 1: CARINA LEAGUES CLUB QTIS THREE-YEAR-OLD BENCHMARK 65 HANDICAP 1400 M
MISHANI SUSPECT – Lost the off-fore plate in running.
MISHANI ECLIPSE – Laid in from the 700m onwards. L Dempsey reported that his mound did not handle the rain affected conditions.
MAKING HISTORY – Began awkwardly and lost ground.
Race 2: COASTLINE TRUSSES CLASS 3 PLATE 1200 M
EMERALD'S SON - Raced wide throughout. Laid in under pressure for a short distance leaving the 400m.
JUKEBOX GLOW – Bumped at the start when ROSE OF SHIRAZ shifted in. Held up for clear running for a short distance leaving the 400m.
ROSE OF SHIRAZ – Shifted in at the start and bumped with JUKEBOX GLOW.
Following the running of Race 2 the remaining races were delayed due to storm activity. Subsequent to the passing of the storm, stewards inspected the track and due to concerns with surface water and the condition of the surface in a section after passing the winning post and between the 600m and 400m, the remainder of the meeting was abandoned at 3:10pm.
