NOVARUPTA When questioned regarding the improved performance, Trainer C. When questioned regarding the improved performance trainers representative R. Macrae advised that the horsees most recent start at Cunnamulla was disappointing as it had worked well in preparation for the event. Mr Macrae added that following that event, the trainer applied Earmuffs and a Tongue-tie to the horsees gear, which he felt, was the major contributing factor to todays improved performance. Stewards noted Mr Macraees explanation.

ZOOMING Laid in under pressure in the home straight. Following the event Trainer E. Jonson reported that it had appeared that the gelding had sucked wind behind during the event, which in his opinion would have contributed to the geldinggs poor performance. A post-race veterinary examination confirmed Mr Jonsonns observation. Mr Jonson advised that in light of this finding he would now add a tail chain to the horses gear prior to its next start.

RACE 5: ADAMA/NEW ROYAL HOTEL/DONOGHUE FARMING OPEN HANDICAP 1200m
