TOWER HILL PICNIC  AMATEUR RACE CLUB INC. Saturday 27th April 2019.  (Day 2)
 
Weather -  Fine       Track Rating -   Dirt – Slow.          Rail -  True.

GENERAL: This meeting was conducted under the conditions of the Queensland Community Racing Scheme (QCRS).  No Bookmakers or Photo Finish  operated at this meeting. All starts were by means of a flag fall  All riders who competed were licensed Approved Riders.  All prizes were in the form of trophies only.  
 
Race 1: EDMOND DELAHUNTY MEMORIAL MAIDEN PLATE 1000m
 
HAYYLER’S RED - Slowly into stride. Rider R. Williams was cautioned in relation to use of the whip prior to the 100m.
 
AMBER TOPS – Began awkwardly.  A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. 
 
Race 2: R.H. and R.E.MACINTOSH RESTRICTED TROPHY 3 1000m
 
BAUHINIA DROUGHT – Began awkwardly.
 
GOT THE RHYTHM – Shifted outwards after beginning awkwardly. Steadied near the 800m.
 
Race 3: PENLAN RESTRICTED  TROPHY 4 1200m 
 
ASHLEN – Raced wide rounding the 800m turn. 
 
DRAG WAY – Raced in restricted room from the 800m to the home turn having to be eased off heels on several occasions.
 
DIAMOND RACER – Shifted out under pressure near the 200m.   
 
Race 4:   AMBO OPEN TROPHY RACE 800m
 
No racing incidents.
 
Race 5:  KATE WEDGEWOOD MEMORIAL OPEN TROPHY RACE 1200m
 
ONE UP – Shifted in abruptly near the 200m inconveniencing another runner. Rider J. Dagan advised to exercise more care in the future.
 
LAKI LAKI – Inconvenienced near the 200m.
 
Race 6:  WILLY’S GIFT OPEN TROPHY RACE 1600m
 
REBEL IN THE CHAOS – Commenced to lose ground quickly from the 600m and finished tailed off. Rider R. Williams reported the gelding had dislodged the tongue tie in running. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. 
 
Race 7: RAY WHITE RESTRICTED TROPHY 6 RACE 1000m
 
No racing incidents.
