Race 1: NUTRIEN AG SOLUTION BENCHMARK 50 Handicap (1000 metres)
 
MR CRUISE – Was fractious in the barriers prior to jumping. Slow to begin. Raced wide throughout the event.
 
PRIZED ARTIST – Jumped away awkwardly, shifting in bumping with RIPOVA. Commenced to over-race passing the 800m.
 
BEGIN – Bumped on jumping by TIP TOES.
 
TIP TOES – Jumped away awkwardly, shifting in bumping with BEGIN. Raced wide throughout the event. Laid in when placed under pressure in the home straight.
 
SKY TOUCH – Laid in rounding the home turn when entering the straight.
 
ALGEROBA – Was declared a late scratching at 11:30am due to no available rider.
 
RIPOVA – Bumped on jumping by PRIZED ARTIST. Laid in when placed under pressure in the home straight passing the 200m.
 
LET IT SIZZLE – Was declared a late scratching at 11:30am due to no available rider.
 
OLIFANTS – Was declared a late scratching at 11:30am due to no available rider.
 
 
Race 2: E.E. PARR O.B.E. MEMORIAL Maiden Plate (1200 metres)
 
HE IS LUCKY – Slow to begin.
 
MATAGORDA – Jumped away awkwardly. Laid in when placed under pressure in the home straight.
 
MAX ‘N’ MAT – Jumped away awkwardly.
 
HIGHLAND EAGLE – Commenced to buck shortly after the start and tailed off from the remainder of the field, taking no further competitive part in the event. Trainer H. Forster was advised that the gelding would be required to trial to the satisfaction of stewards prior to its next future race start.
 
SHORT TAKES – Upon returning to scale, Apprentice Jockey A. Bakos advised that her mount was inclined to lay in rounding the turn near the 800m.
 
STEPPING STONE – Elected to shift wide near the 700m to obtain a position outside the lead.
