SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT
Error in print of race book. Race 1 should read QTIS Maiden Plate.
Race 1: Queensland Gas Company QTIS Maiden Plate - 1000m
1st – Our Young Lass 2nd – Count Fergus 3rd – Oaxaca 4th – Tullagrie
Trainer T Malseed was advised that a warning would be placed on BUSH BEET (W Clasohm) for it’s racing manners.
When questioned as to the disappointing performance of CLASSIC DREAMS, jockey J Warrington stated that the horse attempted to buck shortly after the start, and never stretched out fully throughout the run due to wearing an all elastic girth which he felt may have been pinching. He also stated that the horse did not appreciate racing in a rearward position in the kickback from the dirt surface. Trainer W Baker concurred with jockey Warrington. Their explanations were noted. Trainer W Baker was advised that a warning would be placed on CLASSIC DREAMS for it’s racing manners.
Race 2: Tara Hotel Motel/Brandon & Assoc Class 4 Handicap - 1000m
1st – Rumba Jack 2nd - Dextrus 3rd – Galloping Rhymes 4th – Lady In Sequence
No racing incident to report.
Race 3: Commercial Hotel/Eastern Rural/Tara Rural Supplies Class B Handicap - 1200m
1st – Epicred 2nd – Cosannco 3rd - Chromed 4th – McCaskell
MAJESTIC COMET (W Clasohm) and WINNING AGAIN (J Warrington) were both slow into stride.
MISSY’S GOTTHECASH (N Nishio) had to be steadied after leaving the 150m when CHROMED (N Spencer) shifted out abruptly.
Race 4: Western Downs Regional Council Tara Cup Handicap - 1400m
1st – Burmak 2nd – Laertes 3rd – I Dared 4th – Chief Inspector
SCUDERIA (W Abbey) jumped awkwardly and out at the start with it’s head in the air loosing ground.
Race 5: Black Toyota Class 2 Handicap - 1400m
1st – Tims Image 2nd – Vettori’s Image 3rd – I’ll Rule 4th – Valley Moon
Approaching the first turn SUPREME FOLLY (B Thomsen) had to be steadied when tightened for galloping room between TRIBUTE TO VALOUR (J Murphy) which shifted out and VALLEY MOON (L McCoy) which shifted in.
