RACE 1: UTOPIA STOCK TRANSPORT/OWEN BRODIE MEMORIAL BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP 1000M
 
LIKE MY BROTHER – Tightened for room  shortly after the start and lost ground.
 
NOOR DROPPER – Slow to begin. Raced wide throughout.
 
HIDDEN DUCK – Raced wide early and middle stages.
 
 
RACE 2: DAWSON RIV PROD/TOP X/LANDMARK/SAM BARLOW MEMORIAL QTIS MDN PLATE 1200M
 
RED WEDDING – Raced wide in the early stages.
 
ALA DI BRONZE – Failed to muster speed throughout despite the efforts of its rider.
 
GOLD CROWN – Blundered at the start dislodging Apprentice D. Graham.Following the running of this event, Apprentice D. Graham was stood down for the remainder of the day and transported to hospital. Riding replacements were made as per the Stewards Race Day Summary. Apprentice Graham was advised that she would be required to obtain a medical clearance and complete an after injury concussion test prior to riding again.
 
HUMDRUM  - Made the hometurn wide.
 
KAWANA VIVA – Raced wide in the middle stages.
 
WERE BLESSED – Stewards permitted Jockey C. Bryen to ride half kilogram over the allotted weight. Subsequently C .Bryen was issued with a reprimand, Stewards took in to account his recent good record in relation to this rule. Raced wide throughout. Had to checked from heels when the riderless horse shifted in abruptly over the final stages.
 
 
 
RACE 3: TAROOM PHARMACY/BILL JOYNSON MEMORIAL CLASS B HANDICAP 1200M
 
The declaration of correct weight was delayed to enable B. Hudson, trainer of BALLINA BAY, the second placegetter, to view the photo finish print. After viewing the print, Trainer B. Hudson was satisfied with the Judge’s semaphored numbers.
 
MOWER – Raced wide throughout.
 
DENMAN DUDE – Slow to muster early speed. Made home turn wide.
 
RACE 4: TAROOM WELDING WORX/DES JOHNSON MEMORIAL BENCHMARK 50 HANDICAP 1400M
 
The declaration of correct weight was delayed to enable Apprentice A. Thompson, rider of STILL THE SAME the second placegetter, to view the photo finish print. After viewing the print, Apprentice A. Thompson was satisfied with the Judge’s semaphored numbers.
 
HARIIR – Had to be steadied near the 400m.
 
SAN SEVERO – Raced wide throughout.
 
 
 
RACE 5: LEICHHARDT HOTEL/BOB SCOTT MEMORIAL OPEN HANDICAP 1400M
 
LOGICAL OUTCOME – On return to scale Apprentice N. Fazackerley reported that in his opinion the gelding did not handle the tight turning track and failed to muster speed throughout the event despite his efforts.
