STASH THE SILVER – Began awkwardly. Slow into stride.

D’OR DAME – After viewing the patrol footage of the start, Stewards were of the opinion that although the horse’s barrier stall opened slightly prior to the remainder of the stalls, the filly did not obtain any significant advantage as a result.

RACE 2: N H FOODS WHYALLA BEEF BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP – 900m

CHAMPAIGNE WARRIOR – Upon returning to scale jockey M. Schrapel and connections made application for the gelding to be declared non-runner alleging that the barrier stalls did not open, disadvantaging the runner. After taking evidence from all parties and viewing the patrol footage, stewards concluded that CHAMPAIGNE WARRIOR was denied a fair start as the barrier stalls failed to open simultaneously disadvantaging the runner at the start. Subsequently stewards declared CHAMPAGNE WARRIOR non-runner ordering that all monies in the horse be refunded with the following deductions to apply:

0 cents in the dollar for the win - # 8
7 cents in the dollar for the place of winner - # 8
9 cents in the dollar for 2nd placegetter – # 5
