THANGOOL RACE CLUB STEWARDS REPORT 22/11/03

STEWARDS PANEL: R Doyle (Chairman), J Wallis, N Vagg

WEATHER – FINE TRACK – GRASS RAIL – TRUE

As M Evans was indisposed, Stewards permitted the following riding replacements:
Race 1 TYCOON STAR H Watanabe
Race 2 RED GOER H Watanabe
Race 4 STREET BIRD C Beets
Race 5 CAPTAIN IVOR M Lehmann

RACE 1: MAIDEN PLATE – 800M

STORM VISION was slow in to stride.
TRY ME KY was difficult to load in the barriers. Trainer K Lynch was advised that a warning would be placed on TRY ME KY in relation to its barrier manners.
HE’S ALL SPEED raced greenly throughout the event giving the jockey D Whitmore a difficult ride. Trainer S Moore was advised that HE’S ALL SPEED must perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial prior to its next race start.

RACE 2: CLASS B H'CAP – 800M

Prior to correct weight being declared M Goodwin rider of ROYAL PERFORMANCE 3rd placegetter requested to view the photo finish print with a view he had run 2nd. After viewing the photo finish print all connections were happy and placings stood.
BELLTANG jumped out at the start coming in to contact with SPEEDY DON.

RACE 3: QTIS CLASS 3 H'CAP – 1200M

DIRECTIONAL was slow in to stride.
BEYOND SUCCESS jumped awkwardly and raced with its head in the air in the early stages of the event.

RACE 4: CLASS 6 H'CAP – 1400M

No racing incidents

RACE 5: OPEN H'CAP – 1075M

D Rewald was indisposed after race 4 and stood down by ambulance officer and replaced by D Whitmore on COUNT JESTER.
CAPTAIN IVOR jumped awkwardly losing ground at the start.
