Race 1:  LINEMAC FORD Benchmark 55 Handicap (1075 METRES)
 
Trainer B Johnson reported to stewards at 11:50am that VESELKA had been injured when being transported to the racecourse. VESELKA was examined by the veterinary surgeon at 12:50pm and was subsequently declared a late scratching at 12.55pm by stewards acting on veterinary advice. Trainer advised that he must produce a veterinary certificate of soundness for VESELKA to race again.
 
SAINTLY PRO - Slow to begin.
 
LADY STIRLING - Slow into stride.
 
BLOODED - Raced wide throughout without cover.
 
SOUL SERENADE – Bumped by another runner shortly after the start, then raced wide throughout without cover.
 
ACCEPTING - Contact with another runner after the start.
 
VICIOUS CHICK, ACCEPTING and SOUL SERENADE raced tight together for a couple of strides near the 850 metres.
 
 
Race 2:  BILOELA BOB CATS OPEN Handicap (1200 METRES)
 
SEEN A HOST – Knuckled at the start and lost ground then raced wide without cover throughout.
 
JEB’S BOY - Steadied off the heels of another runner at the 850 metres. Rider steadied and changed direction at the 20 metres when other runners shifted out under pressure.
 
BLUE JEST – Rider advised to exercise more care when shifting ground at the 850 metres, laid out under pressure over the concluding stages.
 
Race 3: LINEMAC MITSUBISHI Maiden Plate (1300 METRES

BRADBURY PARTNERS and ABE’S BABY bumped at the start.
 
BAYSIDE BANDIT - Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
CHEEKY CHANGE – Raced at the rear of the throughout. A veterinary inspection did not reveal any abnormalities.
 
Race 4: PAUL HIBBLE MEMORIAL Benchmark 50 Handicap (1400 METRES)
 
HULK HENRY - Jumped outwards at the start, raced wide throughout.
 
SPEEDREADER – Slow into stride and raced wide early.
 
CYNISCA – Slow into stride.
 
MURPHY’S HUSTLER – Began slowly, steadied off the heels of another runner at the 600 metres.
 
YOU CANT BE - Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
SOUTHERN ALBATROSS Trainer reported it appeared to have pulled up sore. After undergoing a veterinary examination was found to be lame in the front shoulders. Trainer Trevor Williams was advised that he must produce a veterinary certificate of soundness for SOUTHERN ALBATROSS to race again.
 
Race 5: LINEMAC TOYOTA Class B Handicap (800 METRES)
 
BULLETIN BELLE was declared a late scratching at 1:30pm by stewards acting on advice from trainer Laurie Clem that his car had over heated and he wouldn’t make the race meeting.
 
ISIS AMBER and DRAGON FIRE – Bumped on jumping.
 
PERFUME PASSION and BAGGER TRICKS – Bumped on jumping resulting in BAGGER TRICKS losing ground.
 
MISS DORA – At the 400 metres shied away from another runner commenced to buck and was pulled up out of the race. Trainer Allan Clarke was advised that MISS DORA must pass a barrier trial to the satisfaction of stewards before racing again.
 
BAGGER TRICKS was hampered at the 400 metres by MISS DORA when it commenced to buck.
