Race 2: Thangool Cup 9th September Class B Handicap (2)- 1075 metres Prior to the declaration of correct weight, Jockey S Sheargold and Trainer G Elliott (RUFFY ROAD) viewed the patrol film of an incident leaving the 900 metres. After doing so, an objection was lodged against the WHISKEY LAD, having been declared the winner. Evidence was taken from all relevant parties and Stewards established that leaving the 900 metres, WHISKEY LAD (App L Dodds) lay in onto RUFFY ROAD (S. Sheargold), which caused it to be tightened and lose ground. Bearing in mind the ground lost by RUFFY ROAD as a result of the interference caused by WHISKEY LAD exceeded the margin of one (1) length at the finish, Steward upheld the objection and amended the placings accordingly.
