Race 1: Merry Christmas 2018 BenchMark 50 Handicap 1075m
 
A false start was declared when MISS READY NOW became restless in the gates, causing other runners to become agitated and the gates to open prematurely. Starter J Devine sounded the false start signal however some riders had difficulty restraining there mounts and travelled a considerable distance. Stewards after consultation with trainers and considering the prevailing hot conditions were not satisfied to rerun the race and acting under the provisions of AR 139 declared a no race.
 
Race 2: Australia Day Race 2019 Maiden Plate 1200m
 
DUAN DUBAI – Declared a late scratching at 8:03am when there was no rider available.
 
SIR EARLSTOUN – Slow to begin. Raced four wide without cover.
 
TINARAU MAUBOY – Slow to being and over raced in the early stages. Raced wide with cover throughout.
 
UINSAIN – Slow to begin. Hung out when rounding the first turn near the 800 metres.
 
SPARMAN – Dipped near the 700 metres.
 
CHILD SUPPORT – Race three wide without cover. Hung in under pressure from near the 150 metres. Hung in more severely near the 100 metres under hard riding onto the heels of WE CALL HER LOLA when App N Seymour corrected her mount. Went to the line without being fully tested.
 
SPENDING FRENZY – Raced three wide without cover throughout. Jockey J Missen reported that his mount hung out throughout.
 
 
Race 3: Simmons Bakery BenchMark 60 Handicap 1200m
 
CRUISE POWER – Slow to begin and raced four wide without cover.
 
TIME OUT – Began very awkwardly and lost significant ground.
 
EARLY OF FORDYCE – Over raced for a short distance near the 1000 metres.
 
UNCANNY REASON – Raced three wide without cover.
 
Race 4: Members Open Handicap 1400m
 
LUCKY TICKET – Stewards questioned Trainer B Murray regarding the circumstances surrounding the scratching of the gelding which had reduce the race field to four runners. Mr Murray stated that on Thursday (29/11/18) he had attended the horse in its stable and observed some swelling on the near side fore leg and some hair missing as well. Stewards noted the explanation and further advised Mr Murray that the gelding would require a veterinary certificate prior to racing again.
 
FALKIRK DRIVE – Began awkwardly and lost ground.
 
Race 5: Biloela Betta Home Living BenchMark 55 Handicap 1600m
 
ATEACES – Slow into stride.
 
LIFE BE IN IT – Slow into stride.
 
RUFFY ROAD – Raced three wide without cover.
 
CHEAPY CHICK – Commenced to give ground from near the 500 metres.
