RACE 1: MILNE BROTHERS RATINGS BAND 0-60 HANDICAP - 1075m

Correct weight was delayed to allow connections of the 4th placegetter ZOOMING to view the vision and subsequently lodged a protest against 2nd placegetter KRUGER alleging interference in the vicinity of the 400m. After hearing evidence and viewing the footage of the race it was determined that STYLISH SON that was racing to the inside of ZOOMING shifted out abruptly in the vicinity of the 400m which caused the interference suffered to ZOOMING. As such the protest was dismissed and stewards declared correct weight.

Stylish Son – Laid out rounding the home turn and in the vicinity of the 400m shifted out abruptly despite the efforts of its rider severely hampering ZOOMING.

My certain – Raced wide without cover throughout.

Flossy Top – Awkward to begin.

Zooming – In the vicinity of the 400m was forced to check and as a result clipped the heels of Kruger who shifted in marginally and Stylish Son which laid out rounding the home turn. T Doyle (Kruger) was severely reprimanded and reminded to stop and straighten his mounts when they shift ground in future.

Lucifer’s Angel – Jumped away awkwardly.

RACE 2: BATCHFIRE QTIS MAIDEN PLATE - 1200m

Craiglea Gunsmoke – Dipped for no apparent reason in the vicinity of the 600m.

Craiglea Malachi – Stood flatfooted as the start was effected and was slow into stride. Overraced in the early and middle stages and was obliged to steady after improving onto the heels of CRAIG CLAY. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the filly to have bled from both nostrils. Trainers representative S Johnston was advised of the provisions of AR79(4).

Little Sid – Slow to begin and raced wide in the early stages until the vicinity of the 600m.

RACE 3: NOEL HOWARD MEMORIAL THANGOOL NEWMARKET OPEN HANDICAP - 1200m

Arties Shore – Slow to begin.
