Race 1: THANK YOU KATH ROSS Benchmark 60 Handicap 1075m
 
The start of this race was delayed when the photo finish equipment malfunctioned. Subsequently, the photo finish equipment did not operate, and the judges relied on a back up recording of the finish to determine the placings.
 
SWEET VENOM – Raced three wide with cover throughout. Steadied near the 200 metres to avoid the heels of PURPOSEFUL MISS when taking up a run to the inside. 
 
SCHWEID AS – Raced three wide without cover throughout.
 
KRISPY KEV – Raced four wide with cover throughout.
 
LORD GREYSTOKE – Threw its head in the air on jumping and began very awkwardly missing the start by several lengths. Trainer G Bell was advised that a warning would be placed on the gelding’s record for being slow to begin.
 
MORE THAN LIKELY – Raced five wide without cover throughout.
 
MONTEREY LAD – Raced six wide without cover throughout.
 
Race 2: THANK YOU EAMON DEVINE Class B Handicap 1200m
 
Prior to the running of this event, the photo finish equipment was tested to ensure it was working.
 
SEBERTON – Raced three wide without cover throughout. Forced wider near the 850 metres when THE CROWN hung out. Steadied over the concluding stages when BARTOS shifted out under pressure.
 
THE CROWN – Fractious in the barriers prior to the start. Hung out near the 850 metres and forced SEBERTON wider on the track. Steadied by its rider near the 750 metres when hanging out.
 
BACIO VINCENTE – Raced three wide without cover throughout.
 
BARTOS – Shifted out under pressure over the concluding stages. App. L O’Donnell was reminded of her obligation to keep her mounts straight when under hard riding.
 
GIRL ON TOP – Raced four wide without cover throughout. Forced wider near the 850 metres when THE CROWN hung out.
 
PERIODIGAL – Jockey D Simmons pulled his mount up near the 300 metres and failed to finish the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to have suffered tears to the off fore tendon and near hind glute muscle. Trainer D Rideout was advised that PERIODIGAL would require a veterinary certificate prior to racing again.
 
BOBBYBOUCHE – Jumped outwards at the start.
 
BRIDGET’S DIARY – Failed to muster any early speed.
 
Race 3: TRC TAB MEETING 28TH FEBRUARY Maiden Plate 1200m
 
CHASE ABITA LIPPY – Hung out leaving the 900 metres and forced BREAKER BREAKER wider on the track.
 
ROCKIN’ ROCKY – Began awkwardly. Hung out for a short distance leaving the 900 metres.
 
YUBETIDO – Bumped ZAKHEERA on jumping. Tightened for racing room and checked leaving the 200 metres. Steadied near the 50 metres when disappointed for a run.
 
BREAKER BREAKER – Forced wider on the track near the 900 metres when CHASE ABITA LIPPY hung out.
 
MURANO MAGIC – Stepped in near the 200 metres resulting in YUBETIDO making contact with the running rail and steadying. Jockey A Sewell was reprimanded for careless riding under AR131(a) for allowing his mount to shift in when not sufficiently clear on YUBETIDO.
 
ZAKHEERA – Began awkwardly and bumped YUBETIDO on jumping. Raced four wide without cover throughout.
 
ALITA – Began awkwardly.
 
Race 4: AUSLEC/LH Open Handicap 1200m
 
Following the running of this event, the photo finish operator advised the Stewards that the photo finish had failed due to operator error. Prior to the declaration of correct weight, App. S Stephan reviewed the available patrol film to confirming her placing by the judges. The judges also reviewed the patrol film to confirm their placings. Subsequently, the judges were satisfied with their placings and correct weight was declared.
 
RAIDEN – Raced three wide with cover throughout.
 
BEST GUESS – Raced three wide with cover throughout. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be showing signs of dehydration.
 
MUSIC SCENE – Raced three wide without cover throughout.
 
Race 5: RIDEOUT RACING Benchmark 50 Handicap 1400m
 
MAXIMUM HUSTLE – Knuckled and then slipped on jumping. App. L Barr reported that after beginning ordinarily, the gelding failed to travel throughout.
 
PARANGAS – Slow to begin.
 
RAPID EAGLE (NZ) – Began awkwardly and jumped outwards. Raced four wide without cover throughout.
 
MASTER RICHARD – Began awkwardly and jumped outwards.
 
DECK OF ACES – Held up for a short distance leaving the 250 metres before finding clear running to the outside of RAPID EAGLE.
 
DUKATTI – Began awkwardly and jumped inwards. Raced three wide without cover throughout.
 
Race 6: BRENNAN RACING QTIS Maiden Plate 800m
 
DAMN PHENOMENAL – Jumped outwards at the start. Raced greenly throughout.
 
RISING MIST – Jumped outwards at the start and was then slow into stride.
 
RUSSMUSS – Shifted in marginally over the final 100 metres. Jockey J Rudd was reminded of his obligation to keep his mounts straight when under pressure. Steadied to avoid the heels of TUANAKI CREEK leading up to and shortly after the finishing post.
 
TUANAKI CREEK – Proved difficult to load and delayed the start. Began awkwardly and jumped outwards. Ran about under pressure over the concluding stages. Trainer B Phillips was advised that a warning would be placed on the gelding’s record. Jockey H Phillips was reminded of her obligation to keep her mounts straight even after the finishing post.
 
SUNNYSIDE COTTAGE – Tightened and checked near the 50 metres when LADY CONAVARO shifted out to take a run to the outside of TUANAKI CREEK.
 
LADY CONAVARO – Shifted out near the 50 metres to take a run to the outside of TUANAKI CREEK which was shifting around over the concluding stages. App. A Donald, in the presence of Jockey C McIver, was reprimanded under AR131(a) for failing to use sufficient effort to prevent her mount from shifting out when not sufficiently clear of SUNNYSIDE COTTAGE. In determining the appropriate penalty, Stewards took into account the shifting by TUANAKI CREEK over the concluding stages.
 
Race 7: DEVINE RACING Benchmark 55 Handicap 800m
 
ZARNADO – Bumped on jumping.
 
HAN DYNASTY – Disappointed for a run outside of GLOBAL VENTURE near the 200 metres. Steadied and shifted out to obtain clear running.
 
GLOBAL VENTURE – On jumping, the inside gate of the barrier stall bounced back and made contact with the gelding. After reviewing the film, Stewards were comfortable the GLOBAL VENTURE had not been denied a fair start.
 
ARARRAC – Bumped on jumping.
 
MR NODDY – Knuckled shortly after the start. Disappointed for a run near the 200 metres to the outside of GLOBAL VENTURE. Shifted in to obtain clear running.
