QUEENSLANDRACING INTEGRITY COMMISSION STWARDS REPORT THANGOOL RACE CLUB Inc THANGOOL – SATURDAY 26 NOVEMBER 2022 WEATHER – Fine TRACK RATING – Good 4 RAIL – TruePENETROMETER – N/A OFFICIALS Chairman of Stewards – Don MacklynStewards – Hayden GillettClerk of Scales – StewardsJudge/s – Graham Barnes, Bob Moschonoi, Helen WarehamVeterinarian – Callide Valley Vet ClinicSwab Attendants – Vet Starter – Lynton Wareham Race 1: BECOME A MEMBER OF TRC MAIDEN PLATE 1075 metres The start of this race was delayed for approximately 4 minutes due to the barriers having to be repositioned on the course proper prior to the start as there was insufficient room between the barriers and the inside running rail. BIRTHDAY BOY (NZ) – Slow into stride. ELVIARE – Slow away, the raced wide in the early stages. FLAMING ASTEROID – Raced wide in the early stages. SPIRIT OF ZAZOU – Raced wide throughout. VICE – Was inclined to hang outwards rounding the 800m turn. RAINBOW DREAMS – Was slow away. WINDSKI – Became fractious in the barriers and had her head down just as the start was affected and as a result was extremely slow away. A warning was placed on the filly regarding her barrier manners. Race 2: THANK YOU TRC VOLUNTEERS CLASS B Handicap 1300 metres FRESH PRINCE – Over raced in the early stages. EMPEROR OF LIGHT – Began awkwardly, then raced wide in the early and middle stages. SECLUSION – Slow away. UNITARY – Began awkwardly and as a result was slow away. Jockey Colin Lennon was reprimanded (1st offence) for breaching whip rule AR132 (5) whereby he used his on 15 occasions in total. SHEZROYAL – Was slow away. MY GIRL SPIRIT – Raced wide in the early and middle stages. Race 3: THANGOOL RACING ON JANUARY 14 CLASS B HANDICAP 1300 METRES COME CLEAN –Was inclined to hang outwards rounding the 1000m turn. THORBEN – Was fractious in the barriers prior to the start. BEAN A BAD GIRL – Was slow to begin. DIXIELAND – Was scratched by order of the stewards @ 2:05pm because of the late arrival on course. Trainer Royce Connolly was reminded of his obligation to inform stewards as soon as possible if travel issues influence the arrival time on course. Bookmakers were ordered not to commence betting until the issue was resolved and as a result there were no deductions. Race 4: THANK YOU BILOELA ROTARY CLUB OPEN Handicap 1300 metres JAY JAY – Was slow away, then raced wide for the majority of the race. LAST ARMAGEDDON – Over raced in the early stages. ROLLINWITHTHEFLOW – Was inclined to hang outwards rounding each turn for the entirety of the race. THE DARK (NZ) – Slow away. Race 5: THANK YOU TRC SPONSORS BENCHMARK 60 Handicap 1600 metresCOACH – Had to be resaddled prior to the start. PHYLAVE – Raced wide in the early stages. CRAIGLEA BANDIT - Jockey Hannah Richardson was reprimanded (1st offence) for breaching whip rule AR132(7)(a)(ii) whereby she used her whip on 7 occasions prior to 100m, 2 more that permitted. Race 6: TRC TAB MEETING 27TH FEBRUARY QTIS CLASS 1 Handicap 800 metres MAXIMUM ALTITUDE - Was scratched on veterinary advice after becoming fractious in the barriers. Prior to the announcement of correct weight stewards ordered that all monies wagered on Maximum Altitude be refunded and that deductions of $0:52 on the face value of all win bets and $0:26 on the face value of all place bets. A warning was placed on the barrier manners of the horse. LORD RIVERS – Slow away. BUBBLE BATH – Raced wide throughout. CRAIGLEA LAKI – Slow Away.
