RACE 1 MAIDEN HANDICAP 1000 METRES 6 STARTERS
Trainer J Pointon was fined $50 for failing to effect a Transfer of Ownership for CHOSEN DATE, AR 56 (b). REGAL JULIET was taken out at the start onto WINDERMERE LADY by XENA'S MAGIC which jumped awkwardly. Passing the 600 metres WINDERMERE LADY had to be steadied momentarily off the heels of CHOSEN DATE which shifted in. Jockey C Beets (CHOSEN DATE) was advised to exercise more care regarding this incident.

RACE 2 3YO CLASS 4 HANDICAP 1200 METRES 6 STARTERS
PEE JAY BLUE reared as the gates opened losing ground. The semaphoring of correct weight was delayed whilst Stewards interviewed the starter and jockey R Gallacher before it was determined that PEE JAY BLUE had received a fair start. LANDING TIME over raced in the middle stages of the event. Passing the 350 metre mark NATIVE SWORD and ALL PO bumped resulting in both horses being momentarily unbalanced. Jockey C Beets was reprimanded for using his whip excessively on PEGUNNY JET over the concluding stages when it was out of contention. AR 137 A(b).

RACE 3 CLASS 1 HANDICAP 1400 METRES 11 STARTERS
KIALOA blundered at the start and shifted out brushing LOCHMABEN. As a consequence LOCHMABEN shifted out taking SAINTLY WALK out across the heels of CATTLE KING. PEKABAR and FOLLOW MY KISS were both slow to begin. FOLLOW MY KISS and LOCHMABEN which both attempted to buck shortly after the start will be required to Barrier Trial to the Stewards satisfaction before being allowed to race again (AR 8 (m). Passing the 700 metres BROWN OLIVE hung out and lost ground. Making the home turn BROWN OLIVE, when racing in restricted room, hung out across the heels of AKAMINA losing considerable ground. After passing the 300 metres LOCHMABEN shifted in and contacted BROWN OLIVE. A short distance later LOCHMABEN was tightened for room by CATTLE KING which shifted in. Jockey F Edwards (CATTLE KING) was advised to exercise care in simular circumstances.

RACE 4 CLASS 3 HANDICAP 1400 METRES 9 STARTERS

RACE 5 CLASS 6 HANDICAP 1200 METRES 11 STARTERS
On jumping JACKPAT shifted in and contacted the hind quarters of FLYING TRICK. Making the first turn WOLGAH was eased wider on the track by its rider to allow room for the runners to his inside and as a consequence YOU CALL ME was hampered. EXPORTING was held up for a clear run until approaching the 250 metres.

RACE 6 OPEN HANDICAP 1630 METRES 16 STARTERS
Passing the 300 metre mark HICKEYPICKER had to be steadied off the heels THE TWISTER which shifted out to improve. Jockey R Moses (THE TWISTER) was severely reprimanded for shifting ground when insufficiently clear. After passing the 300 meter mark, PARTY KING had to be steadied momentarily when racing between BAD HAIR DAY and CELESTIAL BOMBER which shifted out to improve. Jockey A Cowie (CELESTIAL BOMBER) was advised to exercise care when shifting ground.

RACE 7 OPEN HANDICAP 1000 METRES 10 STARTERS
At the 600 metre mark ANALYTIC was placed in restricted room by STAR OF ST. JUDE which shifted in. When STAR OF ST. JUDE was corrected by it's rider it shifted out, hampering RIPPON JUGAH. RIPPON JUGAH was again hampered at the 200 metres by ANALYTIC which shifted out when being ridden hard. Jockey P Cullen (ANALYTIC) was advised that under simular circumstances to stop riding and straighten his mount.

RACE 8 CLASS 2 HANDICAP 1000 METRES 10 STARTERS
GREAT COVET reared as the gates opened losing considerable ground. ALL ODDS over raced in the middle stages of the event. CLEVELAND BAY failed to secure clear running over the concluding stages.
