RACE 1: Ollee The Golden Octopus Maiden Plate -  1300 metres
1st  - SPARKLING GIFT  2nd -  ROBABANK  3rd  -  MR ADJUDICATOR  4th -  MISTY  ISLAND
 
FIRST REGRET  –  Slow to begin.
 
DAESY DANORO – Slow to begin. Over-raced in the early stages.
 
MISTY ISLAND – Slow to begin. Hung in when placed under pressure in the home straight, and had to be restrained from heels near the 200 metres and again leaving the 100 metres.
 
GROHL -  Raced 3 wide without cover in the middle stages.
 
MR ADJUDICATOR – Hung out when placed under pressure in the home straight and proved difficult to ride out.Trainer T. Comerford was advised that a warning will be placed on the horse’s racing manners.
 
 
 
RACE 2: -  Keely Johnson Class 6 Plate - 1300 metres
1st  -  WORTHY HERO  2nd  -  DELIVERY3rd  -  WHITEHOUSE AFFAIR  4th  -  JORDAN
 
The start was delayed to allow an interstate race to be completed.
 
WHITEHOUSE AFFAIR – Slow to begin. Over-raced in the early stages.
 
DELIVERY – Slow into stride.
 
VINCE THE PRINCE – Laid out when placed under pressure in the home straight.
 
WORTHY HERO – Lost its off front plate during running.
 
 
RACE 3:  Golden Angels Memorial QTIS 2-Y-O Maiden Handicap - 1000 metres
1st  -  GREY MISSILE  2nd  -  RHYTHM OF LIGHT  3rd  -  CRAIGLEA CETINA  4th  -  CRAIGLEA AIRLIE
 
CRAIGLEA PATIENCE -  Delayed the start when difficult to load. Trainer K. Johnston was advised that a warning will be placed on the filly’s barrier manners.
 
CRAIGLEA CETINA – Began awkwadly, shifted out and made contct with another runner. Rider P. Cullen was admonished in regard to his whip action on the filly prior to the 100 metres.
 
CRAIGLEA AIRLIE – Shifted in at the start and made contact with another runner.
 
CRAIGLEA MAXX -  Raced 3 wide without cover for the majority of the event.
 
 
RACE 4:  Race For a Cure QTIS 3-Y-O Maiden Handicap - 1200 metres
1st  -  HI SUGAR  2nd  -  LOVE RED  3rd  -  COCCO LUCIA  4th  -  CRAIGLEA EPSOM
 
COCCO LUCIA – Began awkwardly and lost ground. Lost its off hind plate during running.
 
SAGA QUEEN – Began awkwardly, shifted out and made contact with another runner. Raced wide for the majority of the event, Near the 700 metres was forced wider by another runner for a short distance. A post-race veterinary examination of the filly did not reveal any significant abnormalities.
 
WATCH ME DAZZLE EM – Was bumped at the start.
 
REVERBERATING – Over-raced in the early stages.
MOLONGLE MAGIC – Put in an awkward stride shortly after the start and had to be steadied. Trainer B. Williams was advised that a warning will be placed on the horse’s racing manners. Raced wide throughout.
 
WILD AZ WILL – Had to be steadied near the 1000 metres when racing to the inside of another runner, which shifted in slightly.
 
HI SUGAR – Raced 3 wide without cover for the majority of the event. Shifted in under pressure near the 50 metres and inconvenienced another runner. Apprentice N. Summers was severely reprimanded and advised to keep her mounts straight in similar circumstes.
 
LOVE RED – Shifted in slightly near the 1000 metres, placing another runner in restricted room. Improved onto heels near the 700 metres and had to be restrained and shifted out, forcing another runner wider. Was held up and unable to improve sooon after straightening until a point near the 150 metres.
 
RELNINO – Had to be restrained near the 50 metres when placed in restricted room to the inside of another runner.
 
 
RACE 5: Turn This to Gold Open Handicap -  1200 metres
1st  -  NEVETUS  2nd  - MISHANI GLADIATOR   3rd  -  MIATA  4th  -  ACCIDENTAL
 
NEVETUS – Began awkwardly. Restrained near the 800 metres when crowded for room by another runner, then over-raced for a short distance.
 
MIATA – Shifted in and crowded another runner near the 800 metres. Rider Apprentice N. Summers was advised to show greater care. Raced wide in the early stages.
 
RIVARIVA – Over-raced in the middle stages.
 
ACCIDENTAL – Shifted in near the 600 metres, brushed the running rail and became unbalanced.
 
HEARTFELT QUEST – Raced 3 wide without cover for the majority of the event.
 
Following a short downpour after the running of this race the track rating was downgraded to Soft 6
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
RACE 6: Golden Octopus Foundation BenchMark 60 Handicap - 1200 metres
1st  -  JUMBO RUMBO   2nd  -  LILLY KAREENA  3rd  -  DAZZLUNA  4th  -  CHINA TOWN
 
As Apprentice C. Bayliss was dually engaged for SCHNELLES PFERD and SPLASH OUT, Apprentice C. Jokic was substituted as the rider of SCHNELLES PFERD. The explanation tendered by trainer F. Wieland was accepted.
 
MY BLING – Blundered badly on jumping and lost ground.
 
SPLASH OUT – Began awkwardly and raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
LILLY KAREENA – Raced wide in the early stages.
 
 
RACE 7: Golden Heroes Class 3 Plate - 1400 metres
1st  -  CAPITANEAR  2nd  -  SHAFTESBURY  3rd  -  FLYING IGGY  4th  -  GOOD MUSIC
 
GOOD MUSIC – Began awkwardly and lost ground, commenced to over-race shortly after the start and was obliged to race 3 wide without cover for the majority of the event.
