Race 1: ZEST FINANCIAL SOLUTIONS QTIS MAIDEN PLATE 1000m
 
TRIX was a late withdrawal by order of Stewards at 3.39pm after dislodging Jockey Ms. K Aho, who was uninjured, enroute to the start and galloping a considerable distance. Prior to the declaration of Correct Weight Stewards ordered that all monies wagered on TRIX be refunded in full and further that all successful wagers be subject to deductions of 8 cents in the dollar win and 9 cents in the dollar place on the face value of the betting ticket. Trainer Mr. J Campeao was advised that TRIX would be required to trial satisfactorily prior to again being permitted to start in a race.
 
CRAIGLEE HAILEE – Was fractious in the barrier. Raced greenly in the early stages. Jockey J Felix who was dislodged from the filly after pulling up declared himself fit to fulfil his remaining engagements.
 
EXCEEDING ASSASSIN – Shifted out soon after jumping. Was inclined to race greenly in the home straight.
 
JUZOU – Shifted in abruptly on jumping.
 
OUTLAW JACK – Was slowly into stride after being tightened between runners soon after jumping. Had to be severely checked near the 850m losing considerable ground.
 
MAHARG – Raced intractably in the early stages despite the efforts of Jockey Ms. R Payne, shifting in near the 850m and causing another runner to be severely checked. Trainer Mr. G Sewell was advised that the gelding would be required to trial satisfactorily prior to again being permitted to start in a race.
 
Race 2: STOKES & COMPANY ACCOUNTANTS BENCHMARK 65 HANDICAP 1000m
 
MOLONGLE FIRE – Raced ungenerously in the early stages.
 
SHORELINE – Had to be restrained when racing in restricted room near the 900m.
 
BULLION WOLF – Raced wide without cover for the majority.
 
On returning to scale Jockey J Felix complained of pain to his right hand. Jockey Felix was examined by Paramedics and was stood down from his remaining engagements. Replacement riders were engaged as per Stewards Race Day Summary.
 
Race 3: TREBONNE HOTEL CLASS B HANDICAP 1000m
 
Jockey P Cullen replaced Jockey J Felix as the rider of SHARP DIAMOND.
 
MAGITORIAL – Began awkwardly.
 
BALLARDEE BOB – Raced wide without cover for the majority.
 
Race 4: NQIB BENCHMARK 50 HANDICAP 1200m
 
HOSTILE LILY was a late withdrawal at 1.10pm by order of Stewards acting on Veterinary advice after becoming fractious in transit. Trainer Mr. A Cameron was advised a Veterinary clearance would be required prior to the mare again being permitted to start in a race.
 
SUNNY CHIEF – Slowly into stride.
 
TRY BEFORE DUBAI – Slowly into stride. Raced wide for the majority.
 
YOU’RE SO VAIN – Had to be restrained off heels near the 900m.
 
HE’S TERRYFIED – Was disappointed on several occasions when attempted a marginal run in the home straight. Jockey P.Cullen was advised to ensure to that he had established clear running in similar circumstances.
 
Race 5: CELLARBRATIONS INGHAM GOLD CUP BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP 1400m
 
Jockey K Rockett replaced Jockey J Felix as the rider of MEXICAN MOUNTAIN.
 
OUR SINGLE DOUBT – Shifted out abruptly after beginning awkwardly.
 
TWICE THE STYLE – Shifted in abruptly on jumping. Trainer Mr. P Rowe advised Stewards the following day that the gelding was sore in the near foreleg. Mr Rowe was advised that a Veterinary clearance would be required prior to TWICE THE STYLE again being permitted to start in a race.
 
METAZOA – Was tightened between runners on jumping.
 
PRINCIPAL – Was tightened between runners on jumping. Raced wide for the majority.
 
ULTRA RED – Was tightened between runners on jumping.
 
GENERAL SIDERIUS – Became unbalanced when buffeted between runners soon after the start.
 
YANKEE BUBBLES – Was inclined to over-race in the middle stages.
 
ORATINI – Raced wide for the majority.
