Race 1: TAB QTIS 3yo Maiden H’cap – 1200m
 
SARANOVA – Jumped inwards at the start, making contact with another runner and lost ground.
 
NERADA SHAR – Bumped by another runner on jumping. Commenced to race ungenerously leaving the 800m and hung out and continued to hang out when placed under pressure in the home straight. Trainer S. D’avila was advised that a warning would be placed on the horse’s racing manners.
 
NOBLE SQUAW – Began awkwardly, losing ground.
 
HERSHISER – Raced wide.
 
CRAIGLE ARION – Raced wide.
 
EXCEEDING ASSASSIN – Raced wide.
 
LANZOFFANY – Raced wide.
 
 
Race 2: Carlton Maiden H’cap – 1000m
 
MICHELIN FIVE STAR – Declared a late scratching at 1.10 pm by order of the stewards acting on veterinary advice that the gelding was found to be sore in both hind feet. Trainer G. Bourke was advised that she must provide a veterinary clearance for the horse prior to its next race start.
 
SCRUFFY GIRL – Jumped outwards at the start, forcing another runner wider. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to be lame in both front legs. Connections were advised that a veterinary clearance must be provided prior to the horse being permitted to race again.
 
BUCK STOPS HERE - Forced outwards at the start, making heavy contact with another runner.
 
MAGIC RAY – Bumped heavily on jumping away by another runner, which shifted out.
 
WIRRAWAY – Began awkwardly.
 
HAMMERTONE – Slow to begin.
 
APPLEHEART – Stood flatfooted at the start and lost considerable ground. Trainer R. Wakefield was advised that the gelding’s nomination would be refused at TAB meetings until such time as its form improves by way of country meetings after finishing tailed off.
 
THE SNOOTY FOX – Raced wide for the majority of the race. Finished tailed off. Trainer L. McCormack was advised that nominations for the mare would be refused at TAB meetings until such time as its form improves by way of country meetings.
 
ZULU TUK – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
LUCKY CONNECTCION – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
A’RICHBRUNETTE – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
 
 
Race 3: Carlton United Class 3 Plate – 1609m
 
DONAVIA – Took a step back as the start was effected and lost ground.
 
ROSCOMMON – Rider C. Jokic was cautioned over her use of the whip prior to the 100m.
 
 
 
 
 
 
Race 4: Paynters Construction Benchmark 69 H’cap – 1400m
 
HOT SHOT HARRY – Connections advised that it would be their intention to ride the horse back in the field as it was having its first start over 1400m. The horse was ridden accordingly. Began awkwardly. Following the event Trainer S. Cooper advised stewards that he was disappointed with its performance today and would now concentrate on shorter races than that of today’s event.
 
ISLAND BAR – Slow to begin.
 
BEST HOFFA – Slow to begin.
 
CENTRO SUPERIOR – Shifted wider rounding the home turn to improve.
 
ACADEMY HILL – Raced 3 wide in the early stages.
 
CRIMSON HALO – A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have lacerations to both hind bumpers.
 
 
Race 5: Caltex Yabulu Ratings Band 0-60 H’cap – 1400m
 
JETINTOIT – Slow to begin.
 
WHILE WE CAN – Slow to begin.
 
SAN VITTORIO – Slow to begin.
 
DAMKY – Over-raced in the early and middle stages.
 
SYAMANTAKA MANI – Began awkwardly. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be suffering from the thumps which improved sharply after treatment.
 
CANDY GIRL – Over-raced in the early stages.
 
LORD ARCHER – Over-raced in the early stages. Shifted wider leaving the 800m to improve and raced wide from that point onwards. Hung in under pressure in the home straight, hampering another runner momentarily near the 100m.
 
THAI BOXING – Momentarily hampered near the 100m by another runner, which was hanging in.
 
Race 6: TAB Dopwnload The App Open H’cap – 1000m
 
MAN AROUND TOWN – Slow to begin.
 
FLAVIAN – Slow to begin.
 
GRAND EMPEROR – Began awkwardly. Raced ungenerously in the middle stages.
 
BEAU JET – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
SHORELINE – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
POWER SUPPLY – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
Race 7: Hygain Class 1 H’cap – 1200m
 
TAWHIRI – Jumped outwards at the start, making contact with another runner.  Improved onto heels near the 350m and blundered.
 
ELITE JET – After being initially slow to begin, was bumped by another runner, which shifted out.
 
OTTO’S B ROTHER – After being initially slow to begin was bumped by another runner, becoming awkward on the heels of the runner to its outside.
 
SHARP DIAMOND – Began awkwardly. Rider J. Felix dropped his whip near the 200m.
 
BENTO – Slow to begin.
 
HOT TOP – Slow to begin.
 
WAY TOO SASSY – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
BUXTON – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
GRAZIE MILLE BELLA – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
