After taking evidence from Jockeys C Whiteley (BRACTEATE), B Pengelly (VASSAL), App. A Thompson (CRIMSON HALO) and L Tilley(BOCHY), and viewing available patrol footage, it was established that at that point of the race BRACTEATE which was the widest of the 4 runners was hanging in and despite the efforts of Jockey Whiteley appeared to shift in momentarily taking CRIMSON HALO inwards. As a result BOCHY which was improving between CRIMSON HALO and VASSAL was tightened for running and had to be checked.
